Your Death Shifts You to Hell!

Dr. T. SATYA RAO
Death comes to every man. As the birth is,
so the death is. Death is a fact of life. It stalks
behind you. You cant avoid it. You cant duck
your death. Better you accept it since there is no
other way. All the money of the world cannot save
you from your death. On our planet there is no
hiding place from the cruelty of death. Surely you
have an appointment with your own death, please
wait!

man to man and faith to faith. Some say after death

one will have reincarnation either as a great human
being or as a beast or insect or any such thing
based on his past performance while living. Some
believe that souls of the lost are annihilated at
death. (Jehovah witness and some cults teach this
doctrine). Some say that while living on the earth
nobody will be able to know what will happen
after death.

About Death the Holy Bible puts an

important question before us. This is that big
question, But man dieth, and wasteth away: yea,
man giveth up the ghost, and where is he? (Job
14:10). The response to this question differs from

When I was in Bhutan, I met a man travelling

on one of the high Himalayan Mountains. He was
a Buddhist monk called Head Lama. He was on
his way to a snow mountain at Tashigong, a
coldest place indeed. He told me, he was going

there for Meditation, a very hazardous job

doubtless. I asked him, Sir, what will happen to
you after your spiritual death and where will you
go after your death?. I dont know where I will
go and what I will be. Only after my death I may
know it, he replied. If you dont know what
will be your life after death, all your meditations
are waste!, I boldly told him. Jesus saved me.
He showed me that I will be in Heaven with Him
because of His sacrifice for me in paying for my
sins on the Cross. With many such words I gave
my witness. He accepted his failure.
Every day people die. So it is essential to
know what is really happening to them after death.
Some estimates indicate that in one day an average
number of 2,30,000 people die. That indicates
the death rate of 2 people every one second on
this planet earth. What a disappointing story of a
man who loves to live on the earth? So where all
the people are going after death is an important
question before us since death is for all and there
is no exception.
The Bible has a clear answer to this puzzling
question. After death people are going to HELL.
It is a place of suffering in the burning fire. It burns
always, the fire will not quench. After death man
goes there effortlessly and suffers without remedy
eternally. There is only one way to hell, it is death.
If you die you will go there without any effort,
without fail. Whether you like it or not you will be
there. Even today, you can go there if you commit
suicide. Hell is created by the same God who
created man. It is no mythical threat or fiction.
Though God doesnt like any man to go to hell,

August, 2012

but, if a man hardens his heart not to hear the

voice of his Creator, the result is obviously the
eternal hell-fire.
However in His goodness and love, God
made a very reliable provision for the man to
escape hell. For that purpose God came to the
earth. He is called Jesus Christ. Jesus means
Saviour and Christ means Anointed. God
wrapped in human flesh, came down to be our
Saviour. Gods plan is to save all people from the
judgment of hell. The Bible declares: Who will
have all men to be saved, and to come unto the
knowledge of the truth (1 Tim. 2:4). Therefore
Jesus categorically declared, I am the way,
the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the
Father, but by me (John 14:6). As death is the
WAY to hell, Jesus is the way to Heaven. God
dwells in Heaven but through Jesus we too can
dwell in Heaven with God. He will be our
everlasting Father (Isa. 9:6).
No man can go to Heaven as certainly as he
could go to hell. Heaven is a closed place to
everyone because of only one reason, that is SIN.
Man is a sinner. The Bible declares this truth. For
all have sinned, and come short of the glory of
God (Rom. 3:23). God looked down from
heaven upon the children of men, to see if there
were any that did understand, that did seek God.
Every one of them is gone back: they are
altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth
good, no, not one (Psa. 53:2, 3). King David
admitted, Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and
in sin did my mother conceive me (Psa. 51:5).

WORDS OF ETERNAL LIFE

This is the reason why man needs Savior

Jesus. For God made Christ, who never sinned,
to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be
made right with God through Christ (2 Cor. 5:21
NLT). The Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins on
the Cross of Calvary. He was buried and rose
again on the third day for our justification. He is
alive evermore. His precious blood which He shed
was for our justification. But God commendeth
his love toward us, in that, while we were yet
sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being
now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from
wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies,
we were reconciled to God by the death of his
Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be
saved by his life (Rom. 5:8-10).
When we die we must die as sinless persons.
That is possible only when we repent of our sins
and receive the Lord as our personnel Saviour.
From the beginning to the end of His ministry on
the earth, Jesus was preaching repentance (Matt.
4:17, Luke 24:47). We get salvation only through
the Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation is to be found
through him alone; in all the world there is no one
else whom God has given who can save us (Acts
4:12 GNB). For God so loved the world, that
he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life (John 3:16).
God separates sinners form sinners. The
repented sinners are separated and made saints
through the precious blood of Lord Jesus Christ.
They will go to Heaven to be with God. God gave
them this assurance: I heard a loud voice

August, 2012

speaking from the throne: Now Gods home is

with people! He will live with them, and they shall
be his people. God himself will be with them, and
he will be their God. He will wipe away all tears
from their eyes. There will be no more death, no
more grief or crying or pain. The old things have
disappeared (Rev. 21:3,4 GNB). Death sends
saved sinners to Heaven, unsaved sinners to hell.
Those who are in Christ Jesus can be very
safe after their death. The Bible declares,
Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of
his saints (Psa. 116:15). These saints even while
they were alive, were precious to God. Since
thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been
honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will
I give men for thee, and people for thy life (Isa.
43:4). So when they are alive or when they die,
they are Gods people and their life is different
from unrepentant, hell-bound sinners. The Holy
Bible gives a list of people who cannot enter into
Heaven. But cowards, traitors, perverts,
murderers, the immoral, those who practice magic,
those who worship idols, and all liarsthe place
for them is the lake burning with fire and sulfur,
which is the second death (Rev. 21:8 GNB). But
outside the city are the perverts and those who
practice magic, the immoral and the murderers,
those who worship idols and those who are liars
both in words and deeds (Rev. 22:15 GNB).
Surely you know that the wicked will not possess
Gods Kingdom. Do not fool yourselves; people
who are immoral or who worship idols or are
adulterers or homosexual perverts or who steal
or are greedy or are drunkards or who slander

WORDS OF ETERNAL LIFE

others or are thievesnone of these will possess

Gods Kingdom (1 Cor. 6:9,10 GNB). However
even these sinners also can make their life and
death precious to God and can enter into Heaven
to live with God for eternity by only one WAY
JESUS.
They must know how to give their lives to
the Saviour Jesus. They must receive Him not only
as their Saviour, but also as the Lord of their lives.
First they must confess their sins and repent
honestly. After confession they must forsake their
sins. He that covereth his sins shall not prosper:
but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall
have mercy (Pro. 28:13). While Jesus was on
the Cross, two thieves were hanging, one on His
right side and the other on His left. One of the
criminals confessed his sins and begged Jesus to
be his Savior. He then heard these invaluable
words from the mouth of the Lord Jesus: Verily
I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me
in paradise (Luke 23:43). But the other thief
due to his stubbornness and unbelief lost his
opportunity and went to hell.
We know the story of St. Paul of the Bible.
He was also called Saul. He was a killer of Jesus
followers. He persecuted Christians, sent them
to prisons and planned for their slaughter. And
Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter
against the disciples of the Lord (Acts 9:1).
He did much evil to the Christians. At the time of
stoning of Stephen, who was preaching Jesus,
Saul was supervising his execution (Acts 7:58).
Such a man found his abundant entry into Heaven.

August, 2012

Before he died he was able to announce, We

are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent
from the body, and to be present with the Lord
(2 Cor. 5:8). He also said: For to me to live is
Christ, and to die is gain (Phil. 1:21). Once a
wretched sinner who called himself chief of sinners
(1 Tim. 1:15) had joyfully announced his hope
after his death. This all happened because, he
surrendered himself to the Saviour Jesus Christ
when he came to know of His Truth. Not only he
was able to find abundant entry into Heaven, but
also he was able to say, before his death,
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of
righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous
judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me
only, but unto all them also that love his appearing
(2 Tim. 4:8).
Dear Reader, you may be anything today,
but if your life is not hid with Christ in God (Col
3:3), your next step is death and hell. If Jesus is
your Life, rejoice in this: When Christ, who is
our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear
with him in glory (Col. 3:4).

Please Pray and Attend:
