MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB To find ways to continually improve our work processes providing calculated scenarios, solutions and layouts to management, resulting in documented Project Plans for the implementation of new and existing business ventures. JOB OBJECTIVES To facilitate continuous improvement through periodically examining existing processes and plant layouts, identifying the improvement opportunities and waste, with the view to eliminate such waste. To measure and monitor processes and record those measurements for the calculation of solutions, efficiencies and productivity. To design and engineer tools and fixtures which will aid in the processes. To draw up, maintain and manage project plans to ensure feasibility and cost effective implementations of business processes and solutions. To identify shortcomings and provide advice on SHEQ related matters to minimise downtime through injury or substandard quality. To ensure that the correct material handling equipment, manning and space requirement is employed in the correct application in a cost effective manner. To maintain financial controls to ensure profitability of the organization. To ensure that staff development is maintained effectively to enable succession planning for future growth prospects and business requirements.
