6:00pm to 7:30pm Tuesday, September 25, 2012 - National Voter Registration Day Whitney M. Young, Jr. Branch Library 7907 S. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive Chicago, IL 60619 An increase in qualified voter registrars is needed to reach into the depths of the Chicagoland population to engage unregistered voters. In Cook County, there are 337-thousand African Americans eligible to vote but unregistered. On the South Side of Chicago alone there are 127-thousand such persons eligible to vote but unregistered. An increase in the number of active voter registrars will improve access to these unregistered voters and encourage them to become engaged in the conversation on civic education. If ever there was a time for people who do not typically vote to start voting that time is now. -Terry Hardy World of Soul Motorcycle Community, Inc. is encouraging the motorcycleriding community and the community-at-large to get involved in this nonpartisan voter registration campaign as voter registrars.

Become a Deputy Registrar

World of Soul Motorcycle Community, Inc. is pleased to extend this invitation to participate in an upcoming Deputy Registrar Training Class 6:30pm - 7:30pm Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at the Whitney Young Branch Library, 7901 S. King, Dr. October 9, 2012 is the deadline for voter registration. We can use these final days to raise awareness and encourage civic participation by registering voters. An increase in the number of voter registrants visible in the community will provide more access to opportunities for citizens to become registered. The Chicago Board of Election Commissioners requires a minimum of 35 candidates to conduct a deputy registrar class at a remote location.
