INTRODUCTION

Pharmaceutical companies are allowed to deal in generic brand medications medical devices.

Subject to a variety of laws and regulations regarding patenting, testing and ensuring safety and efficacy and marketing of drugs.
History : First drugstore -opened by Arabian pharmacists in Baghdad in 754. By 19th century, drugstores in Europe and North America had developed into larger pharmaceutical companies. Most of today's major pharmaceutical companies were founded in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Later half of 20th century ,saw medicines such as insulin and penicillin, massmanufactured and distributed. The industry remained relatively small scale until the 1970s when it began to expand at a greater rate
