When I ask a guest or new member what attracted them to Eastmont, I get a variety of responses. Some are looking for a fresh start, a new place to serve, or children/youth ministry for their family. One even told me they were confused and thought this was Frazer. Yet the number one reason people tell me they come to Eastmont is because someone invited them. We are calling it 1,001 Blessings Over the Month of October Im asking you, our church, to intentionally provide 1,001 blessings to others. The possibilities are enormous: an encouraging note, a caring visit, a modest gift, an affirming compliment or some act of service. Ask God to guide you. On November 4, we would like you to share in your Sunday School class about a blessing you either gave or received during the month. The Rock-A-Thon for Dozier school exceeded our expectations. Thanks to so many who made it possible, especially Ed Bowman and our senior adult ministry. Pray for several special events this month. Ill be going with our Carpenters for Christ next week. Also pray for Trunk or Treat and Judgment House which is being sponsored by several area churches. We always appreciate Rick Jones and his annual concert that benefits missions. Deciding for whom to vote for president is not easy. Two criteria I use are competency and values. However you make your decision, be sure to pray and be involved by actively voting! Ill see you Sunday,
