Matthew 5:5 You are blessed when you are content with just who you are no more,

, no less. That is the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that cant be bought! The sun hasnt quite began to peak its rays through the dawning dayput the dim morning light assures me a new day is on the horizon for another Holy Yoga classthis day, with the Athletes of Grand Canyon University (GCU). The coaches have arranged for the athletes to enhance their physical and mental performances on and off the fields through the practice of yoga. At 5:30 AM these men and women teams fill The Sanctuary (GCU yoga studio), noisy and rambunctious. They have been working out since 4:30 AMthe dawning of the day jump starts what they have been called to doto be the best they can, and bring a standard of excellence to the Athletic Department of GCU! They kick off their shoes and socks, roll out the yoga mats and flop down on the mat, expressing the first phase of surrender with loud sighs! Those sighs are captivated as they are encouraged to begin their breath work, to get connected to where their bodies and minds are in this very early morning hour and to prepare their heart to receive the meditative scripture for their own personal holy yoga practice100% yoga, 100% Jesus! The above scenario is just one of the many diverse settings I have been blessed to serve in the ministry of holy yoga. On any given week 7 12 holy yoga classes are taught @ GCU, a Christian University, to a global body that consist of all diverse walks of life. This outreach includes athletic teams, students, professors, staff and employers; along with private yoga therapy for those with health opportunities, as part of the universitys health and wellness benefit package, in order to provide holistic intervention as needed. 1 John 4:12 For though we have never yet seen God, when we love each other God lives in us and His love within us grows ever stronger. God opened the door during a critical time of life-change and I was called to serve in a completely different profession. I started a new life all over again, growing

new hands in the likeness of Christ. I was prompt to move to Phoenix, AZ to be closer to my Holy Yoga Family. This act of obedience provided another opportunity to respond outside of the church walls to all people. I had taught yoga in many precarious and absolutely blessed settings: for at-risk youth in police stations, alternative schools, mental-health behavior centers, inner-city health clinic, battered women shelters, community base organizations for women and children with HIV/AIDS, and various urban settings. In Gods Creative Call I have learned there are no set limitations to where Holy Yoga belongs. I have been blessed to be adaptableeven serving the Immersion teachers with a holy yoga practice in the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, as they were in route to retreat. John 8:36 If the Son of God sets you free, you are free through and through. I have embrace this new found freedom through the ministry of Holy Yoga wherever and with whatever group of communities God has places before me to serve. I have found that the communality within these diverse settings and groups are: 1. A willingness to receive and be nurtured by the Holy Spirit 2. Openness to breath in the Breathe of the Divine God 3. A comfort to sit still in the message of Christ There is no pretentiousness or ego seeking, but rather humbleness to come simple as one can possible managein a space of animation and transparencyno matter the size, shape, colors, and abilitieswith a yearning to become fully present in body/mind/spirit. I recall after a class @ GCU, a student said to me, Those Words (scripture) were spot on. I give God the glory and honor for the His Spirit to be spot on in Holy Yoga practice at any given timeat the dawning of the day or as the sun-sets, with a amazing sense of mindfulness that in this amazing alignment we are all proud owners of everything that cannot be boughta freedom in body/mind/spirit! May you be encouraged and edified to step out of traditional comfort zones and explore unimaginable places and experience people of all diversities to bring the gift of Holy Yoga! Breath by breath be blessed, Gina Tricamo, MHYI
