Youve made tremendous progress this morning musically....thats good and thats wonderful because if we can improve the sound this early in the year, what are you going to do in the middle of the year and after that? Youre gonna knockem out like gangbusters! ~ Mr. Stanley Nosal,
founder of the Golden Strings

Ms. Nancy Nosal tunes her violin in preparation for the Golden Strings performance at Wakeelds Euro Cuisine in Lake Geneva, WI.

WAKEFIELD EURO CUISINE

FIRST PERFORMANCE OF THE SEASON

My rst performance was pretty fun. It was kind of cool to see the all the smiles on the people faces when you were playing to them. I sang to a pretty nice lady and she gave me a hug after...that was pretty cool. Michael B. I felt more nervous playing for the older people than the younger people because I felt more connected to the younger people. Alysa Z. I was surprised at how many of the older people were moved by the music so they started crying. Megan L. It was really crowded, but I liked how the older people were singing along. Alea R. I liked the people that were clapping and singing along because it made me feel better. Elizabeth C. It was nice when the people smiled right back at you. Mary Kelly H. It wasnt as bad as I thought it was going to be. It was really fun. Lauren S.

DID YOU KNOW...High above the obelisk, the East side of the aluminum cap on the Washington Monument bears two words facing skyward: Laus Deo! Unnoticed by the public, these two Latin words are placed at the highest point of the most powerful city, and in the most successful nation in the world. Laus Deo translated is "Praise be to God!"
