October News

It has been an exciting fall semester thus far at Brecknock Elementary School! In addition to working with our new literacy and math curricula and meeting new friends and teachers, weve enjoyed eld trips, the Race for Education, assemblies, and other special events. Parent-teacher conferences are coming soon and will be held Monday, November 19 and Tuesday, November 20. You will receive conference scheduling information on Friday, October 26 in students Friday folders. Please look for this information and complete and return promptly to school.

Bus Safety Reminders

School Bus Safety Week is celebrated in October, and to help promote safe bus rides for all of our children, please take time to review our districts bus rules with your children. Students should pay strict adherence to these rules at all times while riding the bus. The Elanco bus rules are as follows: 1. Observe the same conduct as in the classroom. 2. Be courteous; use no profane language. 3. Do not eat or drink on the bus. 4. Keep the bus clean. 5. Cooperate with the driver. 6. Do not smoke. 7. Do not be destructive. 8. Stay in your seat. 9. Keep head, hands, and feet inside the bus. 10. Bus driver is authorized to assign seats. Do not hesitate to contact your childs bus driver directly with any concerns. Our bus drivers work hard to promote a safe bus-riding environment for all students. It is especially important that students ride the bus quietly in order for safe rides to occur. Thank you for your support in this area!
