Knit 1 lateral braid K 4 rows Tipless Fingers The first 26 sts will be the back of your hand and the last 26 sts will be the palm of your hand. Just make sure to keep the thumb on the correct side so that you dont make two left-handed gloves! Divide the stitches by four with two fingers receiving 7 (ea side) and the pinky receiving 6. Alternatively you can give the pink 5 sts and all the others 7. Each finger will be knit separately while the remaining stitches will be held on waste yarn or a stitch holder. Strategy: The tricky part with gloves is briding the gap between the back and the front in order to separate each finger while also making sure you have enough stitches for each finger. This requires increases while making sure not to leave gaps in the finished work. Index finger: K 7 sts on 1 dpn (inc 2 sts using backloop method) so that you have 9 sts Slip the rem 38 (19 front and 19 back) on waste yarn or holder. 7 sts should rem on back needle behind the now 9 front sts With a third dpn needle cast on 4 fourchette sts (using backloop method) over gap between front and back needle. K the back needles 7 sts while inc 2 sts (backloop method) K these 22 sts for 6 more rnds Loosely bind off. Middle and third fingers: Frm waste yarn or st holder, slip first 7 sts on front needle and last 7 onto back needle. Attach yarn K 7 sts front, make 4 fourchettes, k 7 on back needle, pick up and k 4 sts from index finger = 22 sts K for 6 more rnds Loosely bind off. Pinky finger: Slip rem 5 sts on front needle and last 5 onto back needle. Attach yarn K 5 sts front, inc 2 sts with backloop method for 7 sts k 5 on back needle, inc 2 sts with backloop method for 7 st
