WORK EXPERIENCE
Pratt Institute Rapid Prototyping Lab January 2012-currently I work as a lab technician and help students use the 3d printer and laser cutters available at school. For this job, I had to be trained on how to use these machines. I have become extremely comfortable with them and use them on a regular basis Clodagh Design March 2012-September 2012 Starting as a product design intern, I learned about this firms product line and licensing. I went on to work as an intern in their architecture department and worked on AutoCAD drawings, 3D renderings, compiling presentations as well as ordering and tracking samples from various vendors. Project Breaker June 2012-August 2012 Project Breaker is a multi-disciplinary learning experience put together by Senior TED fellow Juliette LaMontange in which she puts together a team of socially minded young adults and experiences visionaries to create a product for a current issue. The program focuses on design thinking and entrepreneurial skills. Style Interior Design May 2011-August 2011 This being my first experience at a design firm as an intern, I learned a great deal about different aspects of the business. I became familiar with various vendors in the Southern California area as well as national ones. Being involved in a commercial firm exposed me to variety projects including hospitality and community spaces. My responsibilities included helping with AutoCAD drawings, helping to develop color schemes, contacting vendors for orders as well as general organization of the materials libraries. Banana Republic June 2011-August 2011 Working in sales support at one of the largest Banana Republic stores in the country in Orange Countys South Coast Plaza was a great experience. I learned a great deal not only about retail and selling, but also about the visual aspect of maintain a store. It helped me fully understand the program that is specific to retail.

SPECIAL PROJECTS
FIRS Orphanage- Art Teacher January 2008-August 2009 I started an art program at an Orphanage nearby my high school where I would hold a class every week to teach basic drawing from observation and painting. I also took these student on hikes around the nearby Himalayan mountains to discuss sustainable choices they could make to keep the area healthy. This class is still held at the orphanage, but now by a current Woodstock School student. PALAYAN- Co Producer January 2008-August 2011 I was the coproducer, co-writer and editor for a documentary on the story of the Indian villages nearby my high school. We travelled to these villages regularly to interact with the people there. The documentary itself is about the story of a few individuals from the villages, and the brain drain happening there and in India on a larger scale. I travelled to Toronto to represent it at festivals. Palayan has been shown at several festivals and received several awards as a student film.
