A Child Is Born

Sanctuary Choir

Gods chosen people longed for their Deliverer. The days were dark; oppression lled the land. Into this scene came Holy Word who took on esh, And those with eyes to see, said of this Man:

A Child is born, beyond all our imaginings; A Child is born, fullling prophecy. And by His life, the world will see the face of God; And by His death, well be forgiven and set free.

The earth is tired; creation longs to be made new, And likewise, we were made for more than this, For in our hearts lie pieces of eternity To be awakened soon with heavens kiss.

A Child is born beyond our wildest hopes and dreams; A Child is born redeeming history, And by His life, the world has seen the face of God, And by His death, were forgiven and set free!

By His new life, were forgiven and set free! Set free!

Before the Throne of God Above

Before the throne of God above I have a strong, A perfect plea, A great High Priest whose name is Love, Who ever lives and pleads for me.

My name is graven on His hands, My name is written on His heart; I know that while in heaven He stands No tongue can bid me thence depart, No tongue can bid me thence depart.

When Satan tempts me to despair, And tells me of the guilt within, Upward I look and see Him there Who made an end to all my sin.

Because the sinless Savior died, My sinful soul is counted free; For God, the Just is satised To look on Him and pardon me, To look on Him and pardon me.

Behold Him there! The risen Lamb, My perfect, spotless Righteousness; The great unchangeable I AM, The King of glory and of grace!

One with Himself I cannot die, My soul is purchased with His blood; My life is hid with Christ on high, With Christ, my Savior and my God, With Christ, my Savior and my God. (Repeat)

How Sweet the Day

How sweet the day when Christ was born When God Himself took human form He came to wash our sins away Our death to die, our debt to pay

How sweet the day when Hope appeared The One who frees us from our fears He came to break the power of sin And give us power to follow Him

Oh sing for joy, lift up your voice Let us sing for joy, the whole earth rejoice Let us sing for joy to the Son For Jesus our Savior has come

How sweet the day when Christ returns Well see the One for whom we yearn Then well look full upon His face Our hearts will burst with songs of praise

Oh sing for joy, lift up your voice Let us sing for joy, the whole earth rejoice Let us sing for joy to the Son For Jesus our Savior has come

Oh sing for joy, lift up your voice Let us sing for joy, the whole earth rejoice Let us sing for joy to the Son For Jesus our Savior has come

Come, Lord Jesus, come. Come, Lord Jesus, come. Come, Lord Jesus, come.

I Asked the Lord That I Might Grow

I asked the Lord that I might grow In faith and love and evry grace, Might more of His salvation know, And seek more earnestly His face.

Twas He who taught me thus to pray, And He, I trust, has answered prayer, But it has been in such a way As almost drove me to despair.

I hoped that in some favored hour At once Hed answer my request And, by His loves constraining powr, Subdue my sins and give me rest.

Instead of this, He made me feel The hidden evils of my heart And let the angry powrs of hell Assault my soul in evry part.

Yea, more with His own hand He seemed Intent to aggravate my woe, Crossed all the fair designs I schemed, Humbled my heart and laid me low.

Lord, why is this, I trembling cried; Wilt Thou pursue Thy worm to death? Tis in this way, the Lord replied, I answer prayer for grace and faith.

These inward trials I employ From self and pride to set thee free And break thy schemes of earthly joy That thou mayst nd thy all in Me.
