PREFACE.
To the Reader This edition was written on the third floor of the Jeffrey R. Holland Centennial Commons and is intended to be archived in the Librarys Special Collections. The whole of the paper was written and researched from the libraries of four different colleges and University located in the state of Utah. Many of the books needed to gain a deeper understanding of the material within came from Brigham Young University via the universities inter-library loan program. The following pages are an array of complex ciphers written by the Mormon Fathers pertaining to the Greater Mysteries of God. It is not intended for the layman per se but rather the academic scholar who can transverse the pages in a much more prolific manner. The 1830 ed. of The Book of Mormon contains 588 pages of cryptic writing. It utilizes a plethora of different ciphering techniques. This paper covers only a fraction of the books mysteries and it is noted that it is intended simply as a study guide to help others along the path to truth. This paper illustrates five ciphers, four ciphers within the Mans Name cipher and a single cipher the Rosicrucian Cones. The illustration of these two ciphers was chosen due to the fact that they complimented each other rather well. One is a large cipher that spans the whole book, while the other seems to stand alone, utilizing it our cryptic merits. I think the most important thing that the reader needs to understand about the Book of Mormon as a ciphered text is the fact that the first half of the book reads from left to right to the middle, and the second half reads from right to left in true Zohar fashion (Kabala). A symmetrical example of this would be: 1. Nephi beheads Laban in the front of the book 1st Signature 7th leaf page 13 and Coriantumr beheads Shiz in the back of the book 36th signature 7th leaf page 13 the exact same place within the books signatures. This illustrates the significance of symmetry within the books cipher and the importance of recognizing the books signatures as a cipher key. It is also interesting to add that as a whole they fall within a few pages of each other reading back 180 back to front. Another fascinating display of symmetry is found on pp. 264, 462 (26462) in this symmetry cipher we need to examine line 36 of both pages were well find the following three word phrase: Line: 36 to the Earth If were run our palindrome 26462 through our first numerical cipher (6 of diamonds) we end up with 24842 or 24,842 miles as the circumference of the earth. With this we can establish hours, minutes and seconds in terms of navigation. 26462 to the Earth is 24,842 miles Note: a circumference of 24,842 miles in the early 1830 would have been astonishing in terms of navigation. Also, there is an encrypted message within the text if we over lay the two pages together and examine lines 35, 36 and 37 try this and see what you come up with in terms of out and in to the earth presence secret. Prime Meridian: Reading, Adam Co. Pennsylvania (?) Another thing that we observe within the page numbering is the 180 shifts and how they play a part in the system. If we look at page 180 (180) we find the following passage: Abinadi came among them in disguise, that they knew him not So observing the page numbers as part of the system is important to say the least as the book was sculpted as a work of art. The second most important aspect would have to be the fact that the reader needs to be extremely familiar with the language and works of the alchemist and the roll of psychoactive substances within. This is by far the most important aspect due to the fact that the Book of Mormon alchemistical cyphers are extremely psychoactive and should never be physically attempted. The Bridge Ciphering System utilizes two cipher keys as found in The Book of Jarom and The Book of Omni . These cipher keys perfectly align with the Bridge Bidding System as most of the larger ciphers do. Therefore, a through understanding of the laws of the game of Bridge is also a must. The whole system hinges on the number 238, which ciphers too read 238 a true mathematical statement. A through understanding of the function of numerical values within cryptic writing is also a must. John Dee said that the Greater Mysteries could be understood in terms of numbers, and that numbers are of far greater importance than letters, which is a true statement. The Rosicrucians on the other hand took their system from a Magical Alphabet. Therefore, the histories of the Greater Mysteries can be understood with the use of these magical letters. So again, a thorough understanding of the Rosicrucian ABCs is also an essential part in understanding the book as a ciphered text. It is interesting to add that the Masters who developed these ciphers engrained within the ciphers lifes lessons. To navigate these ciphers one needs to make the right decisions in interpreting values and alphabetical codes correctly. These are ciphers that pertain to the Greater Mysteries and the Mechanics of Illumination. Therefore they are not intended for consumption by the general public but rather an illustration of the power of encryptions and a testimonial to the brilliance of the Mormon Fathers. It is also noted that most, if not all, of the cryptic messages come in the form of just a few key words. Key words that have to be taken into context with the flow of the writing and surrounding text. Therefore, in order to gain a higher understanding of the ciphers one needs to study the book and come to their own opinion as to the true meanings of the cipher, as some ciphers are impossible to draw out as they are intended as a pathway to knowledge far greater than imaginable. No one can read the book for you; you have to read and study the ciphers for yourself and come to your own understanding and conclusions. Navigating and articulating the Mans Name cipher was the most challenging of all. Most of the following pages were hand drawn, for every one page found in this paper there were hundreds of attempts at expressing the true nature and message behind the ciphers. Omnibus: Numerical Ordering

The Omni Cipher Key can be found in two books, namely: The Book of Jarom (page: 147) and The Book of Omni (page: 148). It is noted that using two books to hide cipher keys in is a standard in cryptic texts. The last number found within the Book of Jarom is 238. If we invert 180 (horizontal shift) the number then reads 832 and divide by we get the number 264.841 832/3.1415=264.841 This leaves us with the number .841. If we follow our inverting sequence and 180 horizontal shift .841 shifts to read 148. It is noted that 148 is the page number that the rest of the numbers for the Omni Cipher Key can be found, quite clever indeed. page 180 First ed. The first two numbers in The Book of Omni are 276 and 282. If we stack these numbers we get:

The Bridge Ciphering System begins with the Bridge bidding system. In the game of Bridge there is a possible of 35 bids. The first bid is: 1 Club, the second bid is: 1 Diamond, the third bid is: 1 Heart ectThe bidding ends at the 35th bid of 7 No Trump, the highest possible bid in the game of Bridge. Also, we see within the game of Bridge four seats: North, South, East and West. The North and South seats are partners (180 vertical shift) and East and West seats are partners (180 horizontal shift). As in the game of Bridge, these 180 vertical and horizontal shifts play a huge part in the Mormon Fathers Cyphering system.

Here it is noted that the ciphering system hinges on the number 238 which ciphers to reads 238, a true mathematical statement (it is also the number in which the Omni Cipher Keys were encrypted). With this number 238 we will rearrange our alphabetical and numerical values by skip 2, skip 8 sequencing. This will ultimately give us 3 lines on our ciphering system. The Omni Ciphering Keys: 264 276 282 132 143 151

If we look at the first line of our Omni Cipher Keys as found in The Book of Jarom and The Book of Omni we see the following:

The 26 represents the 26 letters of the alphabet: 26-4. The next number in the sequence is 4. This digit represents the 4th letter of the alphabet D this will be our starting point. Following the 238 patterning system and the Omni Cipher Keys we start on the 4th letter D and skip every 2 letter rearranging the order of our letter.

The next set of digits in the first line is 132, sequencing as before, we break the number to read 13-2. Here we will assign the value of M to the number 13 as it is the 13th letter of the alphabet. Starting at the 13th letter M we will skip 8.

If we sequence our Alphabet Cipher Key starting at D skip 2 and M skip 8 and then stack the ordering we get the following alphabetical ciphering key:

Here we will assign numerical values as found within the Bridge bidding system. If we look at the Bridge Bidding System we see that the 27th bid is 6 Hearts (27:6) and the 14th bid is 3 Spades (14:3).

Using the same sequencing ordering 238 as we did in our Alphabet Key we can start ordering the numerical values held within the Bridge Ciphering System. Starting at the bid of 6 Diamonds 27:6 we will skip every 2 numbers and rearrange the ordering of our numerical digits.

Next we move to the bid of 3 Spades 14:3 and again rearrange the ordering of our numerical digits skipping 8 numbers.

If we stack the ordering we get the following Numerical Ciphering Key:

The last set of numbers in the Omni Cipher Keys is the Vowel Key.

End notes: The first line of the Omni Cipher Key represent the Alphabet Key, the second line represents the Number Key and the third line represent the Vowel Key. These are the values set forth as found in the Bridge Ciphering System. Also, learning the Bidding system within the game of Bridge and the consequential 180 vertical and horizontal shifts are key in understanding the Mormon Fathers Cyphering System.

The Mans Name Cipher


The Mans Name Cipher is the opening cipher of The Book of Mormon. It ultimately defines the books layout and keys to how the larger ciphers found within the book work. The whole cipher hinges on five title pages that coincide with numerical values found within the Bride Ciphering System. It is noted that this cipher employs both alphabetical and numerical values found within the same system. Our first cipher employs numerical values that coincide with the title pages of four books that spell out Mans Name. Our second cipher is sandwiched between the first cipher, Here we see four more title pages that can be found within the first cipher, thus giving us our second cipher. This cipher employs alphabetical values found within the same system. Our third cipher encompasses the remaining title pages as found with in the 1830 ed. of The Book of Mormon. This cipher employs the Bridge Bidding System and anchors on the 15th bid 3 No Trump (15:3). This view of the cipher combines all of the ciphers into one single unit. And better illustrates the manner in which the whole cipher and book layout as a whole unit and we see the emergence of 180 vertical switch and 180 horizontal switch in regards to physical alignment. Our fourth cipher is a cipher within a cipher, in as much as the encryptions their selfs become a cipher. This is without a doubt a reward, if you will, for having correctly navigated the cipher as a whole. A few of the more abstract rule employed within this cipher and a note on the name found within the cipher are as follows: Of Locks and Pairs: The Mans Name cipher employs a double locking system as to lock the cipher, Book N; and Book N; need to be combined. It is noted that doubles are typically combined, deleted and or set apart in cryptic writing. In the words of John Dees 1582 Mysterioum Liber Secundus: Which thow shalt Note to the ende of thy work: Where soever thow shalt finde two a a togither the first is not to be placed within the Name, but rather left with his inward power. An easier way to look at this is through the eyes of an alchemist and the symbolic double eagle; here if we look at the four books of Nephi as two sets or pairs: Nephi one and two as one set of pairs, and Nephi three and four as yet another set of pairs as found in the appendix of this paper as a visual aid. Of Inverting: 180 horizontal inversion is a ciphering technique that is quite frequently used in cryptic writing, it is found in many systems. Again, we find inverting in Dr. John Dees system: Whereas thow hast go, it is to be red og. This is the whole Mysterioum Liber Secundus Of Jacob Bohme (1575-1624): Here it is of interest to add that if you read Bohmes Aurora: Die Morgenrte im Aufgang (1612) in context with The book of Jacob as found in the 1830 ed. of The Book of Mormon you will instantly make the connection, as they are quite similar indeed. Of Dr. John Dee (1527 -1606): Physician, mathematician, alchemist, astrologer, navigator and consultant for Queen Elizabeth I of England. Of the most notable talents that John Dee possessed was his ability to develop complexes cipher for the nobility of Europe, which in turn helped earn him the title of the original 007. Our first cipher, Mans Name begins with title page ordering. If we look at the last two numbers on the Omni Cipher Keys we see the first two title page numbers for The Book of Enos (page: 143) and The Words of Mormon (page: 151) in blue.

If we look at our Numerical Cipher Key we see the numbers for two more title pages. The Book of Alma (page: 221) and The Book of Mormon (page: 518) in blue.

If you stack them together and read them in an upwards crisscross fashion we see the following ciphered message: :

Our second cipher sandwiches between Mans Name. Here we see four more books, namely: The Book of Jarom, The Book of Omni, The Book of Helaman and The Book of Nephi. If we stack the names found inserted between Mans Name and stack them together we get the name: JOHN

Now if we extract the first three letters from the name JAROM, and the first two letters from the rest of the names and run them through the Alphabetical Cipher Key we get the following: The start on D and skip every 2 Alphabetical Cipher Key (D2).

Our third cipher combines all of the rest of the books found within the Book of Mormon. This cipher anchors on the middle name MOSIAH here the first two names shift 180 vertically. But here we will add one more step to our system and also shift the last two names 180 vertically (explanation found in appendix); following our system the last two names shift 180 horizontal. This corresponds with a number of other 180 vertical and horizontal shifts throughout the ciphers found within this cryptic text.

Now if we stack the names and run the cipher at a 90 angle we get the following: MA is to IO As Cureloms are to Cumoms

The Anchor, 15:3 No Trump


In our fourth cipher we see a cipher within a cipher as layout on the Bridge Bidding System. If we look we can see Second Nephi as a bid of 2 Spades and Fourth Nephi as a bid of 4 Hearts. We also see Mans Name in black, Dr. John Dee in red and Jacob Bohme in green, a perfectly suited match.

This cipher anchors on the 15th bid 3 No Trump (page: 153) as this is the middle point of the whole cipher. It is also interesting to add that if the last two names flip flop. This coincides with the book reading to the middle. If you place the names on end it would look thusly:

Out fourth and final cipher is a cipher within a cipher, in as much as the letters used to encrypt the cipher as a whole spells out: I AM ODD. This could be in reference to The Independent Order of Odd Fellows, a benevolent society that was founded in England. It is also noted that there was a lodge of Odd Fellows in Manchester, New York in the year 1806, The Shakespeare Lodge no. 1 that consisted of three boat builders, a vocalist, and a comedian. Although, I can find nothing in regards to the names of these five individuals. More research is needed in this area. It could also be the initials of the creator of this in particular cipher (I am O. D. D.) Who might be the descendent of Dr. John Dee (O. D. Dee?) who would have resided on the eastern seaboard in the late eighteenth, early nineteenth century. Again, more research is also needed in this area.

writings on the topic of alchemy that a word with a single occurrence found within alchemical writings tend to imply far greater importance. So frequency of use is also a factor within this system.

Inspiration and signature lay-out key for the 1830 book of Mormon? If you examine the tenth signature in the 1830 first ed along side Dr Dees table you will see a striking resemblance to the Omni Cypher Keys and the books signature layout.

The table is written in a type of hieroglyphic art and can be translated with some study. On page 153 we find the Book of Mosiah on that same page we find the name of the three brothers and two hierophant (2H) (Masters) Lehi and Benjamin as shown below.

Dees Alchemistical Calendar


Doctor John Dees alchemistical calendar. This table consists of 32 boxes, each box corresponding with a day and deeper yet a mouth. The bottom row is the lock (Dee always employees locks) and a key to the spiritual and astrological observations. Also, odd and even, 16 page, signature layouts might be found within the box. It is an interesting study and the corresponding hieroglyphic art is amazingly similar. Could this be the inspiration behind the 1830 first ed.?

If we look at the four books of Nephi as two sets: Nephi 1&2 and Nephi 3&4 it is much easier to visualize this abstract expression if we look at the representations found within C. G. Jungs collective work on alchemy. Here we might see Nephi 1 and 2 represented as one personage, a singularity if you will. And Nephi 3 and 4 are quiet different in and of their selves, herein Nephi is the son of Nephi as might be represented in Revelation of the Hidden. These two headed representations can be found all over the alchemical realm as seen in part in the Rosicrucian Geheime Figuren der Rosenkreuzer as shown below. It is noted that the Geheime Figuren der Rosenkreuzer is only a portion of the whole picture due to space restrictions. But it is also noted that examinations of all graphs and art work within this paper is a must if you really want to study these cyphers as a whole.

The double headed uniped is a symbol of heraldry and or alchemy and is quite a fascinating study in and of itself. There are many books and sites on this subject and a thorough study is important if you expect to gain any type of meaningful insight into this aspect of these cyphers.

End Notes
The Book of Mormon as Ciphered Text: It appears that The Book of Mormon is a ciphered alchemistical text written in the early nineteenth century by a lodge of Hermetic Masters as there are a great number of different hermetic cyphering techniques employed by the many different hermetic society. Its probable that this same lodge printed a limited number of the original book on a private press as a great deal of the books mysteries come from a Master Printer (one book per lodge member). It is also noted that these men would have been upper class citizens due to their education and material covered within the book itself. There were a great number of private presses operating on the eastern seaboard in the late eighteenth early nineteenth century. It is plausible that this book was created upon one of these privately owned presses, plate by plate. The book appears to be a bunch of well-known stories carefully sewn together into one text. The bulk of which seems to emanate from Dr. John Dee Journal on the subject of heavenly ciphers that uncovered the names of the different angelic realm. The Sloane MS 3188 is a must study to any earnest student of these ciphers. It is also noted that there could have been a man by the name of Dr John Dee living at the same time as the book was being written. He might have been a decedent of the original 007. In any case this would explain the baptism by John, a real man none the less in the flesh. You can recognize Shakespeare to elements of Aesop Fables as well as different other enchanting stories echoed throughout the book. They all seemed stitched together akin to the Pearl of Great Price, a book of newspaper articles beautifully sewn together. So the Mormon fathers would have had a large library to study from not to mention a great love of books. They also appear to have been from German decent so it is probable that the book was originally written in Pennsylvania (Emmas home state). The word Laban is the German word for refreshing (180conterast to the villainous counterpart) it is noted in C. G. Jungs writing on alchemy that often the alchemistical writer will use foreign words within his text. Hidden amongst the cipher text no encrypted at all. So it would be interesting to see just exactly how many of these names can directly translate to words found within the many different languages that world over. It is also note that the cipher were written utilizing 180 shifts, therefore the ciphers are in 180 contrast to the text in the book. This gives the book a very deep and profound persona in as much as it tells two stories of sorts. Notes on the Morgenrote Project: This is one of many papers covering the greater mysteries and cryptic writing. There are many different books published written in cipher. We will explore many of these different styles and there meanings. This project is not intended as an anti-Mormon sentiment but rather explores the nature and style of cryptic writing. Everyone is entitled to their own system of spirituality whatever it may be. Therefore this project should never be used as a vehicle of anti-rhetoric, but rather a study guide into the Greater Mysteries and the language of the Alchemist and earnest students on the path of truth.

We have the oldest keys to the hermetic kingdom, lost but not forgotten. The alchemist of old continually borrowed from each other, a word here and phrase there. A number here and an equation there. And they were always paying homage to their fellow brethren as there always come a point in your studies when you see that all the systems are the same. The only thing that changes is the ciphers and the abstract expressions. So if you boil it down and draw off the dross you will see that the most interesting of ciphers are the ones that gain the most respect amongst their own. And like wise, there is no one system that is better than another, although I might add that there are some systems that were quite deplorable to say the least. We will not be exploring these types of systems due to the fact that so much time is invested in any one system that we will not explore any systems of cruality. Rather than say this system is deplorable we will simply not recognize it. Also, there are a number of systems whose ciphers are so misleading that they are simply rudimentary at best.
