-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -co 58 stitches and knit 3 rows garter stitch, in the beg of the 4th row, make a buttonhole like this : k2, yo, k2tog continue in garter stitch until the beg of the 6th row (you have 3 garter ridges now) and make the first increases row like this : k4 (border), *k2, m1* and rep from * until 4 stitches before end of row, k4 (border), knit one row the increases rows are always worked the same manner, every 8th row, so after the 3th, the 7th and the 11th garter ridge you have 176 stitches, knit again until you have 13 garter ridges on next row, place the last increases in group like this : k4 (border), k4, kfb, kfb, kfb, *k9, kfb, kfb, kfb* ref from * until 9 stitches from the end, k5, k4 (border) you have 218 stitches, purl one row ! the garter stitch part is done, now you knit in stockinette be carefull ! the 4 first and last stitches, for the border, are always in garter stitch knit 4 rows in stockinette before beg lace chart (see last page) on the first row place the second buttonhole knit rows 1 to 16 of the lace chart body and sleeves separation is worked on row 17, like this : k4 (border) k31 (front), place next 42st on an holder (sleeve), cast on 2 stitches, k64 (back), cast on 2 stitches, place next 42st on an holder (sleeve), k31 (front), k4 (border) purl one row, you have 138 stitches on needles continue following lace chart, knit the whole chart 2.5 times from the body/sleeves separation, ending on the 10th row be carreful ! about the last buttonhole, count how many garter ridges you have between the first and the second buttonhole, and place the third with same space (in my case 13 garter ridges) switch to garter stitch for 9 rows, and bind off on the 10th

the sleeves are worked separately, but the same way take back the 42 stitches from the holder and place them on double pointed needles on the first row, decrease 2 stitches (k2tog on the beg and the end of row) knit one row knit lace chart rows 1 to 9, on the 10th decrease like this : *k3, k2tog* until end of row switch to garter stitch for 5 rows and bind of on the 6th. weave all in ends, sew buttons and block as you like !
