Greetings!

It is our pleasure to welcome you all to this prestigious institution.

KonguEngineering College, which was started 39 years before, is continuing its journey
in offering quality engineering education in several branches of Engineering and
functioning as a premier institute ofthe Country.

Now, this is the time to commence your classes. The classes will start with an inaugural
function at 9.30 am on 14" September 2023, in the Convention Centre of Kongu
Engineering College. You are cordially invited to participate in this function, along with
your parents. All the students along with their parents are invited for lunch after the
function is over.

We are committed to support you in all possible ways to become a successful engineer
after 4years and mold you as aresponsible citizen ofthis Country.

Dress Codeand Mobile Phone Usage
Dress Code:
All the students are directed to
follow dress code in the campus as given below:
Al the students should wear Identity Card
the (ID). ID card will be issued to the students on
commencement of classes.
All the students should wear
Shoes (for girls). Students shouldBlack/Brown Leather Shoes (for boys) Black/Brown Cut
buy the same on their own.
Boys should wear Formal pant (with waist belt) and- shirt. Shirt must be tucked in.
Jeans/Pants with many packets/designs/embroidery work are not allowed. Boys are not
allowed to wear short shirts and pants.
Boys should come with formal Haircut.
Girls should wear Chudithar with Shawl
allowed. (Dupatta). Short tops, Leggings etc..are not
Uniform for the boys and girls will be issued in the college on

General:
Books will be issued in the college on payment.
Students can buy the calculator with the specification of CASIO (fx-991 MS) on their own.
Students should possess their own Laptops compulsorily,with the minimum specification
of i-5 prOcessor, 8GB RAM, 512 SSD Hard Disk.
Students should bring 4 passport size and 2 stamp size photos.
Mobile Phone Usage:
Mobile phones should not be used inside the carmpus during working hours.
For students travelling in College buses:
Incollege buses, students can use nobile phones in lowvoice, for a very short period and
that too, only for emergency purpOse.
For Hostel Students:
In hostel, students can use mobile phones, in low voice, for short periods, within their
rooms or just outside their rooms, without causing any disturbance to others. Students should not
use mobile phones in Mess halls, Study halls, Pathways/Roads, Corridors etc. Students should
not use Laptop/ Mobile Phone anywhere including in their rooms during the study hours.
