Raw Comments: Maybe 97X should have a stop between Parkinson and downtown The busses do not stick to their schedules at all, they are always super later or super early and have caused me being late or all together missing class! It is frustrating trying to guess when you need to be at the stop when they are so unreliable and do not follow the schedule. Also the drivers going really fast and jerky or turning erratically. As well I always feel sick because of the erratic driving of the drivers! It would be very good if the busses were on time
Double decker busses or two in a row during rush hour would definitely help the 97 express Accepting cash instead of/in addition to coin Bus drivers be more polite to their customers. Stick to their timing on the busses Please dont remove the Stevens exchange. Having the 97 stop there has improved my life immensely The 97 schedule is very off and often doesnt come at all The bus has left on time twice since the beginning of Sept. Have to take earlier bus to accommodate for the constant late busses. Unacceptable Really disappointed in service and reach. Cant believe that you cant get a bus from downtown directly to the airport Promote a safe way home from clubs by having late night busses after clubs close to lower chances of drunk driving I have found that the times that busses should arrive are never when they actually do. I plan my day on these times and when they are inconsistent it creates inconsistency on my plans and affects me directly. Today I nearly missed a midterm because I did not catch the bus in time
The 97 that leaves the university at 9:30 on Wednesday mornings usually leaves a good 10 minutes late (for no reason) the drivers sit in the middle of winter when it is freezing and there is like 40 people waiting to get on the bus. they keep the doors locked and the sign set to not in service, making all the students wait to get on (in the cold) until the exact minute the bus is supposed to leave, than it takes 5 minutes (or more) to squish everyone onto the bus and they end up leaving late as a result of their selfishness in making wait in the cold. I have waited for way too many busses (at least once a week) that do not show up and I got to the bus stop a good 5 minutes before it is supposed to leave. In big cities when the bus comes every 6 minutes, 1 missing bus is not a big deal, but when they only come every half hour or less a bus that doesnt show up is a huge deal. I understand that things happen and bus drivers are only human, but when it happens this often it is just carelessness (#55) UBC Students Union Okanagan

Raw Comment: Bus should maintain time strictly Busses please wait where they are suppose to so they go by my stop at the right time Community busses should take bikes at night, change head lights to make this possible Please do not leave a single passenger if you see them running for the bus The drivers of the number 8, when finished for the day they never complete their route they simply tell everyone to get off at the mall and wait for the next # 8 to take them the rest of the way even though it says in the schedule that the bus UBC Students Union Okanagan 10
should go all the way to the college. They also turn off the bus and take breaks when they are already late. Frequently bus drivers miss requested stops or decide to stop driving at Capri Mall for no reason. Drivers can be outright hostile to passengers. Refused to stop when people are running to catch bus at the bus loop 8 university busses often stop at Orchard Park Plaza unannounced, and we have to disembark and board another bus or wait for another bus, this is very inconveniencing Better transit system, like Vancouver Increased service on weekends would be great but transit in Kelowna has been improving so much which is nice to see It would be nice if the area between UBCO and Wal-mart had more stops and varied routes Busses fill up really fast we need more double deckers

Raw Comments: #6 bus is always packed in the mornings. Consider using a bigger bus in the mornings!!! Bus 6 that arrives 8:40-8:50AM needs to be a double decker, and the last 6 that runs in the morning is always packed full Time cuts have forced to buy a car, unreliable, needs complete overhaul Having to pay for a mandatory bus fair is unfair because restrictive schedules make it impossible to use the bus regularly I feel that the buses are perfectly accommodating Rutland but not Glenmore, theres a lot of us in Glenmore. Leaving early is common for bus driver then they pull over and make up the time somewhere else, this is quite ridiculous This bus is crammed full every morning and evening and sometimes has to pass by people, we need double deckers, it would solve all the problems Please have this bus run later at night, especially on weekends If there were more buses running, I would actually take the bus

Raw Comments: I saw a bus driver kick four people off on different occasions on the same route, fair enough but there was no warning what so ever It's awesome but needs more service I take the bus from lakeshore everyday and always have to take at least 2 busses to get any where else There needs to be more stops in black mountain please

Raw Comments: Bus drivers need better attitude Designated stops for buses, bus can't just go where ever 23 only runs past my house once a day, I need more access to home or I have to get a car, public transit is crucial to me So few Lake Country buses, always late Don't take time Hortons break in lake country Some drivers are rude and not helpful, lighting at night at some stops are inefficient at night. Buses stop at Tim Hortons even if they are running late

Raw Comments: Vernon citizens are forced to pay public transit fees when the accommodation is terrible and limited. A huge portion of the town's population commuting to UBCO are forced to find other means because of the limited space and frequency on the 90 Vernon route Last bus is at 8:00PM so some days I couldn't take the bus home and had to stay with a friend in Kelowna It is really unsafe for a bus to be filled with 60+ people, accidents happen. It is uncomfortable to stand for an hour and I know people won't take the bus because of this UBC Students Union Okanagan 22
I would like to take the bus but it doesn't work with my schedule. Bussing issues regarding crowding get worse in winter. I have been on the bus when it has denied students service

Closing Remarks
During the course of the academic year, the Students Union receives many comments regarding a variety of subjects with transit concerns being one of the more popular and more frequent. Since Kelowna Regional Transit, the University and the Students Union all have similar interests in this subject, the Students Union decided to conduct a survey of its own. The purpose was to gauge students experiences with the changes implemented by BC Transit and allow them to express some of their comments, concerns, and suggestions. The results indicate the vast majority feel safe on Kelowna Transit (Q8) receiving four of seven first place votes while busses arriving late (Q6) ranked second and students having to use alternative transportation due to scheduling (Q12) ranked third. The raw data presented here is meant to be a tool in future planning. We sincerely hope it proves helpful and we welcome any questions or concerns you may have. A spreadsheet of all information captured is available upon request.
