Autodesk User Group International (AUGI) The Autodesk User Group International (AUGI) is an organization representing tho usands

worldwide users of Autodesk products. Formerly known as NAAUG (North Amer ican Autodesk User Group), its primary mission is to educate its members on how to more effectively use Autodesk software as well as inform Autodesk on how it c an improve their products to better suit the users' needs. Members also have the opportunity to join an Industry Group and/or Special Inter est Group and network with colleagues from around the world. Other benefits incl ude an annual resource CD which contains a LISP library of 150 programs, discoun ts to Autodesk University, a quarterly newsletter, and online telecourses. AUGI is organized into six Industry Groups -- AEC, Education and Training, GIS, Mechanical, Multimedia, and Programming -- which have a direct link to key indiv iduals in Autodesk's Market Groups. Autodesk relies on AUGI's recommendations fo r future product development (primarily through the AUGI Wish List). This inform ation helps Autodesk design software that improves the customer's productivity a nd job performance. Autodesk also depends on AUGI for critical product reviews, such as Beta testing, as well as designing and conducting independent performanc e benchmarks.
