Introduction Types of Biocomputers Working Engineering Biocomputers Advantages Notable advancements in Biocomputers Future Advancements

Biocomputers are special types of microcomputers that are specifically designed to be used for medical applications.

Biomechanical Biocomputer Bioelectronics Biocomputer

Biological computers are made inside a patient's body. The researchers or doctors merely provide the patient's body with all of the necessary information or a "blueprint" along which lines the biological computer would be "manufactured."

The behavior of biologically derived computational systems such as these relies on the particular molecules that make up the system, which are primarily proteins but may also include DNA molecules.

Selective cell treatment is made possible.

The biological computer can also perform simple mathematical calculations.

Biocomputers have already been engineered to perform, and the capabilities of biocomputers are becoming increasingly sophisticated.

Many examples of simple biocomputers have been designed, but the capabilities of these biocomputers are still largely premature in comparison to commercially available non-bio computers.
