Its her first ever interview since her talent and music has been thrown into the limelight. We speak to Ella May XCLUSIVELY about her crazy new life and her plans for 2013. As well as this we delve into her personal life and ask her things like where do you shop? And more interestingly are you single?

Hi Ella May, we are so glad to be speaking to you! How are you today? Aww, thank you for having me! Im so grateful that you actually wanted me to feature in your magazine, its mad! And Im all good thanks, just a little bit tired from last night as I was at my first PA (personal appearance) it was nuts! And also you can just call me Ella, its much easier (Laughs)

(Laughs) Okay! We are honoured you accepted to be a feature! Oooh nice, where was your PA? It was in Essex, I love being in Essexs its such a good place to party! It was packed there! I was so surprised I didnt think many people would turn up and want to see me. After the photos I went up on stage and played my new song Passion. It was amazing, I had such a laugh! But of course Im feeling it now (Laughs).

That sounds amazing! Congrats on your first song Passion reaching fifth place in the charts this week! It must feel so weird to be singing in front of loads of people and being asked to do PAs. Did you ever think you would be in this position? Thank you very much! Its so surreal, I never, ever would have thought Id be this lucky and be where I am right now. I literally have to pinch myself every morning when I wake up to see if its all real! Im not sure when it will sink in, I just cant get over it. Its mental!

What have you been up to recently then? Where do I start! Ive been doing loads of PAs as you know. Um, Ive also been in the studio, writing new songs and trying to put them together. Also Ive been planning some exciting things for the summer!

Ooo like what?

Well lets just say Im really desperate to play at some festivals! I love going to festivals they are so much fun and the atmosphere is amazing. You can let your hair down and party all day and night! Love them!

I think thats an XCLUSIVE everyone! Watch this space (Laughs) (Laughs) I like what you did there!

So, lets talk love. Are you single Ella? I am indeed! Im only 20 I dont need to be tied down and also Ive just begun an amazing career that I need to concentrate on for a while. I wouldnt turn down love if it came to me, but Im just not going out looking for love if that makes sense? Thats fair enough! Do you have any celeb crushes? I have got a few actually. First theres Drake, I think he is AMAZING! His voice is beautiful and so is his face (Laughs) when I went to his concert at the 02 last March it was amazing! I was so close to stage as well, ahhh it was the best! Secondly, theres Professor Green, he is mighty fine! (Laughs) and theres a load more but I dont think we have enough time in the day to list them all!

(Laughs) I agree with you Drake is beautiful! What would you do if you met either of them? I reckon Id probably like faint, and then after Ive got up Id say some embarrassing things to them and act like right twat. Then when Im on my own Id most definitely cry. (Laughs) Youre all probably thinking what a loser (Laughs). I get really star struck!

Have you met any of your idols or celebs you really like since youve become well know? Yes I have, Ive been so lucky; I only got to meet Keith Lemon (Leigh Francis) from Celebrity Juice, I know Keith is only a character he plays but he is even more hilarious in real life, he had me in tears! Ive met Alan Carr who is just a pure genius; I love his show Chatty Man it has me in stitches every time. Also I got to meet Jessie J before Christmas. She is amazing; she is so down to earth and easy going. Thats exactly how I want to come across; I wanna do things for myself. Im not into all this diva sh*t, making people rush around after me! Its not for me.

Sounds like youve got some good morals there! Was your brought up to have these morals?

Yeah I was, my mum has always taught me to be independent and to treat people how I wish to be treated. Shes kept me grounded since Ive started my career in music. I dont think its fair to make people rush around after you and do all your dirty work. People who are like that dont deserve to be where they are.

People will respect you for that. Do you get to see your friends and family often now that you career has begun? No not as often as I would like, I miss them loads and loads. Its hard being away from them but I will always have time for them because Im not used to it. I really miss just going out with my friends down to the local or just staying in and feasting of loads of rubbish and watching a lovely romantic comedy. But they know Id cancel any plans to see them! My friends and family mean a lot to me and I will always be there for them!

Aww thats sweet! Ella, youve been pictured wearing some amazing clothes, where do you buy your clothes from and whats your favourite shop? Really? I didnt think I was that fashionable? (Laughs) Well I shop in most high street shops like Newlook, River Island, Republic and Top Shop. Ive got two favourite shops, Republic and Office. Republic always seem to do really nice clothes, most of my wardrobe is actually Republic (Laughs) Office is my favourite shoe shop! I love Vans, converse and Nike blazers. Ive got like a million pairs at shoes at home! (Laughs)

(Laughs) Whats your favourite outfit to wear when going on a night out? My favourite outfit would probably be my disco pants or denim shorts; with either a vest top or a blouse depending on if its a formal doo or a party. Im always wearing flat shoes to parties, I never wear heels really! I can barely walk in them; let alone dance in them! (Laughs)

What are your favourite clothes to wear when youre having a lazy day at home? When Im having a lazy day I just stay in my PJs all day! I love just lounging around in them. I also bring my quilt downstairs and lie on the sofa all day and watch telly and films. I wish I could do that every day! Im so lazy its unreal.

Sounds good! Right Ella, what is your pet hate? What really annoys you? I hate when people breathe really heavily when they eat. Oh my god that p*isses me off! Oh sh*t am I aloud to swear?!

Yeah you are (Laughs) whats your worst habit? (Laughs) thank god! And I think youve just witnessed what my worst habit is! (Laughs) I have a foul mouth, I swear constantly and its really bad, my mum tells me off for it all the time! Sorry mum!

Who is your favourite artist/band? I love Calvin Harris! I could listen to his new album 18 Months all day. His music just makes me want to party, its great to listen to at the gym as well (Laughs). I really like some of Rihannas songs aswell. I like a range of different music. I love listening to The Kooks, Coldplay and I really love Ben Howards music too! My iPods full of different genres of music. Ive also got the old school tunes on there like S Club 7, Mcfly, Busted. (Laughs) You may laugh but at the end of the day they do have great songs.

(Laughs) We have finally come to the last question of the interview Ohhh, Im enjoying myself! I dont want the interview to end!

I know so am I! Here goes What do you wish to achieve by 2014 Ella May? Ooo serious (Laughs) I hope I would have released three more songs by then, played at a couple of festivals, also I want to meet new people and gain new friends, hopefully one of them will be Pro Green (Laughs) and also that I will be able to make people happy by my music! And to make money to go on holiday, because I seriously am in need of a tan! (Laughs). Im thinking Ibiza! sun, sea, sand and drinks!
