PEAC Alternatives for Statewide Rollout of Educator and Administrator Evaluations in 13-14

Existing Assumption: Whole model, full implementation, district-wide Preferred Alternative Additional Alternatives whole model; at least 1/3 of schools; all certified teachers and administrators within those schools whole model; 50% of schools; classroom teachers only and administrators within those schools other locally determined options
Details: SDE Goal: 100% implementation for all schools in CT in the 14-15 school year Any alternative must represent at least 1/3 of district's certified educator staff For districts choosing an alternative approach, they must engage in a committee process (compromised of superintendent and union representation) Due by 4/15: Districts select method of implementation and submit alternative plans
SBE unanimously approved PEAC's recommendation that no legislation delaying implementation be adopted
