In 1A, 2A and 3A, seeds are determined by record (winning percentage). Per the IAHSAA manual, in the event of a tie, it's head-to-head record. If they havent played, a strength of schedule formula is used, in which teams receive 1 point for beating a 1A team, 2 points for 2A, 3 points for 3A and 4 points for 4A, divided by the number of regular season games.
