ISSA Meeting | 3:30pm in Graduate Student Lounge in Draper Hall, downtown campus
ISSA: Information Studies Student Association ISSA promotes effective communication between the students in the department and acts as a liaison between the student body and the faculty. All students in the department are considered members of the Information Studies Student Association. Any student with an interest in the organization is invited to attend meetings, which (will be) announced on IST-L.

Our acm: Our chapter of ACM as an up and coming SUNY Albany club consists of some of the best leaders in the computer science department. We are currently aimed to providing help and guidance to the students interested in computing machinery.

SCSAA Meeting | 3:30pm in the Graduate Student Lounge in Draper, downtown campus
UAlbany Student Chapter of the Society of American Archivists serves students interested in becoming archivists or studying archival representation.

OFFICIAL CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS We are looking for presentations detailing projects, applications, and techniques of Open Source Technology. The audience will be a diverse group of students, professionals, and interested parties, so we welcome both technical and practical presentations. Please submit proposals no later than March 6, 2013 to http://ocs.opensourcefestival.org/index.php/osf/osf13 . Please send all submissions electronically. NYCWiC 2013, the 2nd New York Celebration of Women in Computing (NYCWiC) will be held April 19 - 20, 2013 at the Desmond Albany Hotel and Conference Center located near Albany, NY. Attendees will be women in industry and academia from all over New York State. NYCWiC inspires and encourages women to complete their studies in computing by exploring careers and meeting women leaders from business, industry and academia.
