Frans Timmermans Minister for Foreign Affairs Bezuidenhoutseweg 67 2594 AC Den Haag

Dear Foreign Minister,

The BRCNL hopes that this message of BRCNL will draw the prompt attention of Dutch Government, which is crucial to the innocent Rohingya ethnic minority of Burma that is on the verge of extermination ["Rohingya Cleansing" Medecins Sans Frontieres(MSF) reported l .

It is now more than ten months since violence began in Arakan, Burma. The violence can no longer be described as simply communal. It has become
systematic POGROM targeting the Rohingya and Kaman ethnic minority fHuman Rights Watch reported on 70th September 20121. Daily life of Rohingya and Kaman in Arakan is getting worse, unspeakable and dire [Valerie Amos of UN's Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief reported on Sth December 20121.

With an effort Rohingyas are fleeing various persecutions in Arakan to save their life by taking incredible risk through the sea where many of them are dying sinking of boats, starving to death on boats due to lack of food and no medicine [Vivian Tan, spokeswoman for TJNHCR reported on 8th March 2013].
What most of the world is not aware of are the internally displaced Rohingyas that are not able to live in camps. And those Rohingyas are living in conditions that are so bad that the BRCNL is sure if the international community does not do

something very soon they are going to die. "The conditions in some of the areas in Arakan which are described as akin to Concentration Camps", said an expeft. The government of President Thein Sein, a former junta general, has international obligations to face for the serious crimes and systematic human rights abuses against ethnic minorities, particularly against Rohingya ethnic minority [Mr. Tomas Ojea Quintana, Special Rapporteur on the situation of Human Rights in Myanmar of IJN reported in Geneva on Bth March 20131.

A Parliament Member [MP] of

Myanmar has

with the courage of

recently written in his e-mail to me "Rohingyas are

virtually under siege".

Attacks have also spread in Yangon division. The attack in the Township Hlaing Tharyar on 1't March and in Tharkida on 17th February has initially taken place.
These attacks and various persecutions have been taking place with a mixture of tacit and overt support from the military-backed government in Burma intended to cleanse Rohingyas from Arakan.

The BRCNL is concerned by the ongoing attacks and various persecutions Rohingyas facing daily in Arakan, Burma; notes that police, state security and
national Burmese Army soldiers are taking part in some of the attacks; is further very much worried by President Thein Sein's request for international assistance in deporting all Rohingya from Burma which gives encouragement to Rakhine mobs carrying out the attacks, his indication on his European trip that his Government does not intend to revise the 1982 Citizenship Law and his government's restrictions on the international assistance to Internally Displaced Persons[IDPs] [Lotte Leicht, El,J director at Human Rights Watch repofted on 4th March 2013]. Innocent lives are being lost every hour in Arakan. Professor William Schabas, the former president of the International Association of Genocide Scholars says that it turns into the Genocide.
