Found under stream bed Prefers to crawl along bottom of the creek Type 2: Somewhat tolerant of some pollution--likes good quality water

Found under rocks in quiet water Air-breathing: carries a film of air around shell opening. When shell is opening side up, the opening is to the left Lays clear, jelly-like egg masses on the underside of rocks Type 3: Pollution tolerant; found in all quality water

Found on stream bed Often hides under rocks Type 2: tolerates some pollution.

Found under rocks in a variety of habitats Crustacean: relative of crayfish Type 2: Can tolerate some pollution

Flatworm

Found under rocks in slow-moving water Type 3: Pollution tolerant

Limpet

Found under rocks in cold water Is a relative of the snail with an open shell Type 2: Tolerates some pollution

Black-nosed Dace

Found in deeper pools Type 2: tolerates some pollution

Water Strider

Found on water surface Type 2: Tolerates some pollution
