 DATA SETS
• Temperature and Salinity data acquired using Argo
Floats (5°S - 17°S and 100°E - 130°E). There are 11
floats which number WMO-ID: 53547, 56510, 5900026,
5900027, 5900032, 5900033, 5900034, 5900036,
5900037, 5900043, and 5900045.
• Remote sensing data sets as supports which provided
by CSIRO Marine Labs in Hobart, Tasmania such as:
– Wind data 6 hours average (Quikscat).
– Chlorophyll distribution (SeaWifs).
– Sea Surface Temperature (SST) from AVHRR.
– Sea Surface High (SSH) derived from TOPEX/POSEIDON
altimeter.
 Components of Argo Float:

• Satellite antenna
• CTD sensor
• Satellite Transmitter (Using GTS
satellite for data transmition from
float to receiver station)
• Air pump / valve
• Hydraulic pump (piston)
• Hydraulic oil
• Pneumatic bladder
• Lithium battery

1 per 3º square
Argo coverage is 57.07% of target
