Remove Duplicates

Sort data

sort data from a column or an etire worksheet consolidate data at each change using a selected field put a filter on the header of a database in order to easily select only looke data

can do an ascending/descending sort

Subtotals

first sort the data base/column - Select Database/Column - Data Subtotals

to remove subtotals go to Data - Subtotals - Remove ALL

AutoFilter

Select First/Header Row - Data - Filter - AutoFilter

you can do a customize filter - select Custom - insert conditions

Click in a Cell in the Database - Data - Filter - Advanced Filter

Advanced Filter

put a special filter keeping note of a condition put pasword on a sheet or only a workbook to protect the content Tools - Protection - Protect Sheet/Workbook

There shouldn't be any blanks inside the database; there should be an empty row at the end of the database and an empty column on the right of the database; in the same sheet there should be a column containing the criterias for the filter: In the first row there should be the name of the fieald you would like the filter to be applied on and in the next cells the criterias (<, <=, >, >=, <>)

Protection

Split sheet

split worksheet in two windows format/customize an worksheet by removing gridlines automatically populate a list after typing the first word

ADVANCED EXCEL FUNCTIONALITIES

Formula IF UTILITIES / ADVANTAGES Syntax Description Returns one value if a condition you specify evaluates to TRUE and another value if it evaluates to FALSE. Returns TRUE if value refers to any error value (#N/A, #VALUE!, #REF!, #DIV/0!, #NUM!, #NAME?, or #NULL!) Returns TRUE if value refers to an empty cell.
