Coestherm Hexa Multilayer Pipe

The constant commitment of Coes in technological innovation
The Coes Group has developed an important innovation on the PP random segment for carrying water in pressurised systems. The New Generation of Coestherm Hexa multilayer pipes made of PP-RCT (Polypropylene Random Cristalline, Toughened and Temperature Resistant) is the result of years of research into raw materials and production processes, summarising all the advantages of polymeric materials and metal alloys in a single pipe. Coestherm Hexa Multilayer Pipe: Has an increased capacity. The finer thickness of the pipe enables a 20% increase in fluid capacity. It is stronger and more reliable. The decision to develop a pipe made up of 3 layers of plastic ensures increased strength and durability. Coestherm Hexa Multilayer Pipe is guaranteed for 50 years at an operating temperature of 70 C and pressure of 10 bar. Its easier to install. The finer thickness of the pipe enables a considerable reduction in weight. Moreover, thanks to the outer layer of PP random, it is perfectly compatible for joining with the fittings of the Coestherm range. Reduced linear dilatation enables a reduction in the use of fastening points. The Coestherm Hexa Multilayer Pipe range of pipes is available in PN 20 in diameters from 16 to 200 mm and is particularly suitable for diameters over 40 mm.

Raw material and innovation

Why choose PP-RCT
Coes, having always paid attention to the system-related needs of designers, builders and fitters on the international markets, has decided to invest in technological innovation in raw materials to meet the needs of strength and durability of installations, while guaranteeing savings on installation costs, thanks to the increased capacity of the pipes and less dilatation.

Greater strength Greater durability Greater capacity

Features of PP-RCT
It is certified as suitable for drinking
The raw material used to make Coestherm Hexa Multilayer Pipe is certified as suitable for drinking, a guarantee which is necessary for safety in the domestic environment (contact with eyes, use for food-related purposes).

100% recyclable
Unlike products treated with mineral fibres, the Coestherm Hexa Multilayer Pipe is completely recyclable for the original destination of use. This offers further confirmation of the eco-compatible choice of Coes.

Maximum strength!
To check the strength of the Coestherm Hexa Multilayer Pipe, a calculation programme was used to simulate the stress to which the pipe is subjected in order to determine the optimal thicknesses.

Charpy test
The Charpy test measures the resistance of the material, or the capacity to absorb shock energy. The greater the quantity of energy absorbed, expressed in Joules, the greater the resistance to shock. In this way, it is possible to test the strength of the pipe, even at low temperatures.

Unbeatable durability!
The Coestherm Hexa Multilayer Pipe has been subjected to water in water testing to measure long-term Resistance to Pressure, in compliance with ISO 9080. When filled with water and subjected to pressure, the pipe is immersed in a tank at different temperatures.

+20% greater capacity

The Coestherm Hexa Multilayer Pipe enables the 20% reduction of the thickness of the walls, enabling the installation of pipes with a smaller diameter with the same capacity compared with the traditional PP-R pipe.
