According to Government of India and FHRAI (Federation of Hotels and Restaurants Association of India) there are approx 120,000 rooms operating in India Additional 52,200 hotel rooms are expected to be available across the 11 cities Ahmedabad, Benagluru, Chennai, Goa, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, NCR and Pune Of this, approximately 28,012 rooms, representing around 54% of the total room supply of the study, belong to the up-scale category Bengaluru tops this list with the highest number of up-scale rooms (6,356), followed by NCR (4,600) and Hyderabad (3,554)

India is ranked as the world's fifth most popular tourist destination according to the WTTC India's inherent potential and appeal as a tourist, medical and heritage destination remains unaffected World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) estimates, India's tourism demand is likely to grow at an average rate of 8.8% till 2013 (as against 4% growth globally) which will make it the third fastest growing tourism market in the world Government has declared the hotel and tourism industry as a high priority sector with a provision for 100% Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) through the automatic route

Approximately USD 150 billion are expected to be spent over the next five years on tourism related infrastructure by the Government. The Indian hospitality sector has not kept pace with the increasing tourist inflows, resulting in high room rates and low availability of quality rooms across major Indian cities It is estimated that the number of required hotel rooms is around 250,000, the current availability is just about 110,000, leaving a shortfall of 140,000 rooms to be provided Only 58% of the announced 102,000 rooms are under active development and are expected to be completed over the next five years

Growth trends
An improvement was observed in the growth rate of FEE (in Rupee terms) in June 2009 (11.5 per cent) as compared to May 2009 (8.7 per cent) and in April 2009 (7.6 per cent) FEE during JanuaryJune 2009 were US$ 5.007 billion and FEE in US$ terms during the month of June 2009 alone stood at US$ 796 million Despite short- and medium-term setbacks, tourism revenues are expected to rise by 42 per cent from 2007 to 2017 Last year 5.37 million foreign tourists visited the country, of which 820,000 came from the US, followed by 780,000 from the UK

Acquired an IATA approved agency, Hi-Flyers Travel Services Ltd. in India (now called Panoramic Tours & Travels Ltd.) The acquisition marked the Companys entry into the fast-growing field of domestic travel and tourism. With expanded services like outbound tours the Company is also focusing on developing inbound tour. Seeking active support from its New York based agency for developing inbound tours. Services cater to the requirements of premium corporate and HNI clients.

Future Travels - a travel agency based in the heart of New York City
Acquired Future Travels - a travel agency based in the heart of New York City Working in close association with 600 small and big businesses, Future Travels serves more than 15,000 customers Tie-ups with Air India, Kuwait Airways, Delta, Air France, Lufthansa, British Airways, American Airlines etc Specializes in customized worldwide holiday tours Also arranges to unique destinations like Mansarovar, Mount Kailash as also other tourist attractions

2. Travel portal
Launched own travel portals - www.travelhot.in & www.traveluniversally.com The portal aims to offer comprehensive travel solutions to its customers such as:

- Travel arrangements - Travel and tour packages catering to B2B and B2C segments. Would interlinking various travel options with the Companys ever-expanding hospitality options in India and abroad Panoramic is confident of providing a relaxed travel experience to its valued customers through this portal

Aims to double the rooms under its operation by adding 929 hotel rooms to its existing room inventory of 997 with the completion / acquisition of the exciting new projects
