Concise Description

With Gods help we are seeking an associate pastor who

Loves God and is deeply rooted in Gods word, has a good prayer and devotional life,
sets a good example of the Christian life
Is committed to the confession of the faith as presented in the Book of Concord
Supports the church and ministry practices of the LCMS
Values traditional worship and is comfortable and effective in leading it
Maintains and works to improve skills in public preaching and teaching and is apt
to teach and enjoys teaching Scripture and doctrine at every level
Is eager to know and minister personally to every member on an individual basis,
especially those on the fringe of the congregation as well as those outside the
congregation (evangelism & inactive ministry)
Is eager and able to help the members of the congregation organize and work
together in ministry
Desires to work with the servants who have already been called to serve at Good
Shepherd
Values Christian education (Preschool, K-8, High School, & College)
Ideally has three to five years of pastoral experience (flexible)
