COMENIUS PROJECT BELIEVING IN HUMANITY 5TH MEETING SIVAS (TURQUIA) 11th-15th MARCH 2013

The fifth meeting started with the assistance of the above-mentioned members of the project, and the following activities:

Welcome by students, dressed in traditional costumes, and faculty from the school with a representation of the Turkish traditional dance, and all those attending the meeting were invited to participate in it. Tour of school facilities, guided by students at the school and teachers involved in the project, where we visited different themed classrooms, laboratories, workshops, practice and research spaces, sports facilities as well as classrooms devoted to the youngest students at the school. Presentation of the school, by the owner, who talked about the history of the school and their main objectives: respect for their country, their family and friends and of course for training and education. The school offers lessons from kindergarten up to pre-university studies. Each participant was presented with a typical Turkish coffee set by the Turkish school. Likewise, the representatives of each country were interviewed to be broadcasted by the Sivas television. After that, we headed to the lounge, where students performed a small concert with musical performances and typical Turkish dances. After the show we enjoyed a typical Turkish meal prepared by the students mothers.

MINUTES OF THE MEETING: 1.- Report of activities of each partner since the meeting of Heidenheim (December 2012):

Presentation of the activities carried out by the different partners in the second term of the academic year 12/13, which dealt with: charity flea market, international women's day, talks & actions about volunteering at the different schools, according to the activities included in the project working plan. Apart from these, every country reported several activities out of it as for example: o Spain: Caring with elder people: Seniors & Co at the residence "Virgin of charity", Activities carried out in the "Virgen de la Caridad" toy library, Exhibition of toys with waste material. o Italy: Next door o Czech Republic: Free Hugs o Sweden: The fairy Tale project, Building Gingerbread houses, o Germany: Recycling efforts at school, Donation of organs, Shoebox Act ivity, Solidarity sales: oranges, Caring for our environment: theatre play 5 to 12, Student to student Solidarity: First Aid Service. Analysis of the activities carried out by the partners during the second term of the academic year 12/13. All partners delivered the presentations to the Spanish representatives, for subsequent incorporation into the project's website. Since the activities presented are more than the ones initially planned, Carmen Torres agrees to perform the evaluation of each one of them on the web so that they can be completed by the partners. The Spanish partner congratulates and thanks all participants for the good quality of the activities carried out in their respective schools, the response has been very positive in all cases, as well as the level of participation in the activities proposed in the project working plan. 2.- Evaluation of the activities carried out so far in the project Believing in Humanity. Implementation of the mechanisms of evaluation: the meetings and all activities. Our website: the tool to assess the project.

Professor Carmen Torres explains to the other members of the project the procedure to assess each of the activities carried out. Unfortunately the website doesnt work in Turkey so she has to indicate by heart where to find the instruments of evaluation of the common activities of the project, as well as the mechanism to complete them.

The following agreements are reached: - Complete evaluations for each of the schools before May 17, 2013. - Charting the results of evaluations. - Check the comments box works in polls. - Prepare an assessment for those extra activities already undertaken and which were not included in the project working plan.

Create a closed group on Facebook with the aim of facilitating the communication between students and teachers from each of the schools participating in the project, being administrators the teachers of the project. Agreement on the date the next chat will take place between the students participating in the project. It is agreed on April 20th, 2013 at 10 am with the students in 3rd and 4th ESO or aged between 14 and 15 years. 3.- Planning the visit to Spain and I European Solidarity Concert:

Each country is provided with a tab participation in this concert that contains the following information: title of the action, name of participants (teachers and students), overview of the performance, audiovisual resources, etc. In the same way, the number of teachers who will attend the meeting, as well as the number of students that will be welcomed by Spanish families will be listed on this tab. The delivery deadline is agreed on April 5, 2013.. Meeting in Cartagena (Spain) the dates proposed in the previous meeting in Germany are confirmed, the Cartagena meeting will take place on 4th-8th June 2013. The Spanish partner recommends access to Cartagena via Alicante or Valencia and requests other partners to provide a number of visitors, to take care of all the travel needs. Proposals & questions: 1. The Spanish partner reminds others the need to complete evaluations relating to the activities of each school and announces that other questionnaires will be incorporated soon into the project's website to evaluate the implementation and follow-up activities, which are not common to all countries, as well as the ability to include comments. 2. Members ask questions about the mechanisms of celebration of the first European concert Solidarity, and the organization of the final meeting of the project, which the Spanish partner answers. 3. The Spanish team once again thanks the work of all partners and the organization of the meeting held by the Turkish team.
