Anywhere you look,you’ll find something exciting at your fingertips,whether it be running, swimming,biking, or just exploring all the at-tractions that Alexandria has tooffer.If you’re a sports nut, one of thefavorite activities in our area isbaseball, and Alexandria has one ofthe premier events in the area
theBlue Anchors, featuring some of thetop college prospects in the nation. You can hit the golf courses, andof course, who can forget our manylakes? Cool, clear water. Perfect forboating, skiing, sailing, fishing, pon-tooning and swimming. What could be more perfect inthe summer?I love photography, and the possibilities forsnapping unique shots are unlimited. You cangrab a camera and take in the annual Tour ofGardens, where the flowers and plant life willtake your breath away. There are also our manyparks as well as the Central Lakes Trail, with allthe beauty of nature at your disposal. You can enjoy many top-notch marchingbands at the Vikingland Band Festival as schoolsand communities from around the state vye for ti-tles. The event will also feature the StabekkSchool Band from Oslo, Norway.Watch some high-flying fun at the VikinglandSpeedway race track or even its smaller version ofracing
the Runestone Raceway go-karts. Lots offun packed into a small space, just waiting for you!Check out our magazine for many more events.We hope you will love our area as much as we do!
