Praise Jealous???

In the Bible at Exodus 34:14 we learn the Bible gods name is Jealous. It reads, For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God. Jealousy is an emotion that usually brings about hatred and violence, something the Hebrew god of the Bible displays very often. Jealously is not something to be proud of, it is a weakness. To pin the name of Jealous on God is wrong. How could the Creator of the Universe possibly be jealous? There is only one eternal first cause/God, so how could the Bible rationally refer to other god??? If the absurdities of the Bible turn you off, but you still believe all the designs in Nature presuppose a Designer of Nature, you are a Deist!
