The Baby Bottle Boomerang fundraiser for Little Way Pregnancy Center in Louisville began on Mothers Day and you are reminded to return your bottle filled with checks, currency and/or silver coins, next Sunday, Fathers Day, June 16th. Please make checks payable to Little Way Pregnancy Center, and contact Ernie Beeson with any questions. How the Catholic Church Developed: Week 5 of 10 DVD study, Epic: The Early Church, continues on Thursday evening at 6:30 PM and Friday morning, at 10:30 AM. Spencer County Relay for Life: This weekend you may make a contribution to the community fundraiser for the American Cancer Society by using the special envelope in your parish boxed set, or by placing your donation in a marked envelope. The Relay for Life event will be held June 14-15, 2013 at Spencer County High School. The All Saints Team will have a tent there and invite you to visit that evening. For more information on the event, to purchase luminaries, or to purchase badges for the HOPE sign, contact Karen Karrer at 817-1822 or 477-5519. The Knights of Columbus Chicken Dinner: The All Saints Council invites you to their all-you-can-eat chicken dinner on June 16th from 12:30 -2:00PM in the Parish Hall. Featured are broasted chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, butter noodles, and all kinds of desserts. Prices, which include drink and dessert, are $8.00 for adult, $4.00 for children 4-12, and children 3 and under eat free. Proceeds go to fund their charitable work- your support is appreciated. Hosparus Volunteer Training: Volunteers are needed in the Spencer County area to help with patient/family support, administrative duties, and more. Please read the bulletin insert for more details and a training session in Shelbyville. Substance Addiction Ministry: St. Louis Bertrand Parish (1104 South Sixth Street, Louisville) is offering a SAM (Substance Addiction Ministry) ministry to alcoholics, addicts, and the family members and friends of those afflicted with addiction. An education session will be held the second Tuesday of every month, 7:00 p.m., in the St. Louis Bertrand school building, and a Holy Hour will be dedicated to this ministry on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m., followed by coffee and fellowship. This ministry also offers a phone ministry for support and referrals to appropriate local resources. Call 502/650-3392. (Calls received after 9:00 p.m. will be returned the following day.) This ministry is sponsored and supported by the National Catholic Council on Addictions. AA will meet at 7:30 PM this Tuesday in the Parish Hall. An open discussion format is used. Funeral arrangements were pending as the bulletin was being prepared. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, rest in peace. The Covenant Churches Vacation Bible School, Everywhere Fun Fair, Where Gods World Comes Together is scheduled for Monday through Friday, June 17-21st, at Taylorsville United Methodist Church. A light supper will be served at 6:00 PM, and the program runs from 6:30-8:00. The Covenant Churches are Taylorsville United Methodist, First Christian Church of Taylorsville/Disciples of Christ and All Saints.
