of the leading ladies in Richard Gutierrez Kamandag in GMA channel 7. Maxx as known to her friends has joined the cast of SRO Cinemaserye Ganti ng Puso. She played as Maurene Andrada in the Sine Novelas Kung Aagawin Mo Ang Lahat Sa Akin where in the said sine novela has made her drama acting more improving. She was then quite not interested in a serious acting until she become a freshman college student in Ateneo studying Social Science course. She was the key of her former Kapuso friend Angel Locsins success in showbiz career. Many showbiz critics said that without Maxenes decision choosing Angel Locsin to be the lead star in Mulawin, the latter is the one of the un-named names in the showbiz industry today. Maxene had a hand in Angel Locsins success. She was the one of the Kapuso star who eyed by the management to be in a character of Alwina in the top rated Kapuso primetime Mulawin with Richard Gutierrez. She was at that time has planning to enter in college when meeting with the executives of GMA-7 chooses her as one of the lead star in the said Mulawin fantaserye. She refused

the offer instead she suggested Angel Locsin to be the Alwina. The said role in the Mulawin fantaserye opened more opportunities to Angel Locsin. Now, Max is playing Victoria Vicky Santa Maria in her new afternoon drama series. Vick is a distant relative of Olivia Santos that played by Lani Mercado. She described her new role as ambitious, scheming, envious and vindictive woman. She also said that he is the main villain in the series and whose goal is to destroy the Santos Family and eventually to replace her as Mrs. Santos. Maxene however is a good and prominent actress and can now a days may be lined along the veteran actresses of the Philippine movie industries. Acting as a villain role is actually her very first time in GMA Kapuso Network. The said role was originally offered to LJ Reyes but was refused. Maxx marked her very first anti hero role. She will be seen as like an angel doing a bad role and make the protagonists suffered. Some movie and television analyst have the conclusion that acting a villain role even in a television drama series might somehow

destroy a charming and good looking reputation. But her family fully supported her new role. Maxene Magalona has however given words that people will also sympathize with her character when they understand why she was acting that way. Ang Mga Basang Sisiw has already launched days after the rival network also premiered a same remake of the same Julie Vega, the then child actress who played one of the original kids in the said GMA Kapuso series. Maxene Magalona is also a business minded actress. After her father died of acute myelogenous leukemia on March 6, 2009, Maxene became more seriously in her career as an actress. Also she inherited from her father the passion of loving the Philippines. With her mom, she continued the T-Shirt business of her late father together with her siblings. As a matter of fact, said T-Shirt business is now used in promo-ting different ad-vocates for the inte-rests of the Filipino people. Maxene is also a promoter of a campaign against cervical cancer and a supporter of different anti-cancer drive, for as we all knows that her father, the late master rapper died in a cancer.
