RECAP: The Rainiers scored 3 runs in the top of the 9th inning to break a 3-3 tie as Tacoma held
on for a 6-4 win over Salt Lake on Sunday afternoon. 3B Ty Kelly recorded 4 of the teams 11 hits,
while 2B Robert Andino recorded the only other multi-hit contest. CF Abraham Almonte (1x5, R,
2B, 2 RBI) and LF Stefen Romero (1x4, 2B, 2 RBI) each knocked in 2 of the Rainiers 6 runs.
Starter Taijuan Walker (5.0,6,1,1,1,4,HR) didnt figure into the decision despite leaving after 5
innings with a 3-1 lead. He allowed a solo home run in the 4th inning, snapping a string of 14.0
consecutive innings since being promoted to Tacoma. RH Hector Noesi (3.1,4,2,2,1,2) recorded
his 2nd win with Tacoma, despite allowing 2 runs to score in the bottom of the 6th inning to tie the
game. LH Brian Moran (0.2,1,1,1,1,0) allowed 1 run before recording the final 2 outs of the game.

LH Bobby LaFromboise has yet to allow an earned run over 26 appearances (40.2 IP) at Cheney
since his Tacoma debut, June 20, 2012. The Rainiers collected the teams 50th win on Tuesday in their 86th game of the season. Last
season, the 2012 Tacoma squad did not reach the 50-win mark until August 5 in the teams 116th game played. Tacoma is the first time in
the PCL to reach 50 wins, and the 4th in Triple-A.

TRANSACTIONS: The Rainiers added INF Ty Kelly to the roster after he was traded from the Orioles organization on Sunday in exchange
for OF Eric Thames. Kelly hit .283 (80x283) with 51 runs scored, 21 doubles, 2 triples, 1 home run and 47 RBI in 72 games with AA Bowie
in the Eastern League. At the time of the trade he ranked amongst the Eastern League leaders in runs scored (2nd, 51), doubles (T2nd,
21) and walks (3rd, 51). Kelly was originally selected by the Orioles in the 13th round of the 2009 First Year Player Draft out of the
University of California, Davis. In his first 5 professional seasons in the minor leagues, he is batting .283 (545x1924) with 287 runs, 98
doubles, 11 triples, 21 home runs and 239 RBI in 515 games. In 2012, Kelly led all Orioles farmhands in hits (154) and total bases (220).
PCL ALL-STAR TEAM: LHP Brian Moran and OF Carlos Peguero have been selected to represent the PCL in the 2013 Dolan Auto
Group Triple-A All-Star Game. This years event, which pits PCL All-Stars against All-Stars from the International League, is scheduled to
be played on Wednesday, July 17th at Aces Ballpark in Reno, Nevada. Moran, 24, earned his first All-Star selection in his second season
with the Rainiers. The left-hander leads Tacomas ranks second among PCL relievers after producing a rate of 12.73 strikeouts per nine
innings pitched this season. Peguero, 26, is also set to make his first Triple-A All-Star appearance in his 8th season since signing with the
Mariners as a non-drafted free agent in 2005. This season marks the 2nd in as many years that the Rainiers have had 2 players featured in
the Triple-A All-Star Game.

RECAP: After allowing 3 run in the bottom of the 7th inning, the Generals scored 2 run in the top of
the 8th inning to regain the lead as Jackson defeated Pensacola 5-4 on Sunday afternoon. Starter
Jimmy Gillheeney (2.0,1,0,0,1,2) allowed 1 hit and 1 walk over 2.0 scoreless innings, but didnt
return after a 1 hour and 33 minute rain delay. LH Kyle Hunter (4.2,2,1,1,1,2,HR) allowed 1 run over
4.0 innings in relief, while RH Andrew Kittredge (0.1,4,3,3,0,1) allowed 3 runs in the bottom of the
7th inning recording only 1 out. RH Tyler Burgoon (1.2,1,0,0,1,2) earned his 4th win of the season
after tossing 1.2 scoreless innings, while RH Carson Smith (1.0,1,0,0,0,2) struck out 2 in a
scoreless 9th inning to earn his 10th save of the season. 2B Chris Taylor (2x4, R, 2B, BB), RF
James Jones (2x5) and LF Jack Marder (2x4) each recorded 2 of the teams 10 hits.
OF NOTE: SS Chris Taylor has hit safely in 8 of his last 9 games with 6 multi-hit outings, batting
batting .417 (15x36) with 6 runs scored, 3 doubles, 1 triple, 4 RBI, 3 stolen bases and 5 walks.
Overall he has hit safely in 13 of 16 games after being promoted to Jackson from High Desert,
batting .323 (20x62) with 10 runs scored, 5 doubles, 1 triple, 5 RBI, 10 walks and 5 stolen bases.
Taylor recorded his 100th hit of the season on June 30 vs. Birmingham. He was the first Mariners
farmhand to record at least 100 hits. After allowing 5 runs over his first 6 appearances of the season,
RH Carson Smith has allowed only 4 earned runs over his last 22 relief appearances. During this
stretch he is 0-1 with 6 saves and a 1.57 ERA (4 ER, 23.0 IP). Since April 22, Smith has lowered his
ERA from 8.44 to 2.76. Smith has struck out at least 1 batter in 25 of 28 games, including recording
12 strikeouts over his last 6 appearances. LH Kyle Hunter has held oppoents scoreless in 18 of 22
relief appearances this season. Overall he is 1-0 with 1 save and a 1.44 ERA (5 ER, 31.1 IP). He

SOUTHERN LEAGUE ALL-STAR TEAM: OF Julio Morban and OF James Jones will represent
Jackson on the North Division roster for the 2013 Southern League All-Star Game, which is
scheduled for July 17 at Bragan Field at Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. RHP Taijuan Walker was
also selected to the roster, but is unable to play due to his recent promotion to AAA Tacoma. Players
were selected by a vote of Southern League field managers, radio broadcasters, general managers
and print media. All players on Southern League rosters as of June 12 were eligible in the voting.

on Sunday. 3B Patrick Kivlehan (3x4) led the team with 3 hits, while CF Jamal Austin (2x3, 2 BB) and SS Anthony Phillips (2x3, R, BB)
each recorded 2 hits. Starter Trevor Miller (3.2,7,4,4,2,2) recorded his 7th loss of the season, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits in 3.2 innings. RH

6th win of the season. RH Richard Vargas (1.0,3,2,2,0,0) allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in the 8th inning, while RH Cameron Copping
(1.0,1,0,0,0,0) tossed a scoreless 9th inning to earn his first save of the season. 3B Martin Peguero (3x3, 2B, 2 RBI) led the team with 3
hits, while C Marcus Littlewood (2x4, R, 2B, RBI), RF Gabriel Guerrero (2x3, R, RBI) and 2B Tim Lopes (2x4, R, RBI) each recorded
multi-hit outings.

annual SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game to be played July 14 at Citi Field in New York City (11 a.m. PT/ESPN2, ESPN2 HD and MLB.com,
MLB Network Radio) as part of All-Star weekend.This is Walkers second consecutive selection on the All-Star Futures roster.
INF Ji-Man Choi has been added to the World team as a replacement for Rangers catcher Jorge Alfaro, who broke his hand when he was
hit by a pitch on Friday. SS Brad Miller was replaced on the U.S. team by D-backs shortstop Chris Owings, since Miller won't be eligible to
play now that he's on the Major League roster.
Tacoma Rainiers hitting coach Howard Johnson will be part of the U.S. coaching staff.
The Mariners have had 30 selections to the Futures Game since its first beginning in 1999. Three players on the current 25-man roster
