Parts of the local rail network were planned to be electrified and incorporated into the Northern Line. Due to World War II and other reasons this didnt happen and the lines fell into disuse. Fortunately, parts of these disused railway tracks still exist. Join us for this armchair tour of the very pretty and picturesque tracks to Mill Hill and Alexandra Palace. Along the way we will see Fortis Green, Aquarius Archers, the reservoir and pumping station, spectacular views across London and Ally Pally. To the west we follow the line from Sanders Lane to Copthall and Hale, then look at Mill Hill Park, Arrandene, Mill Hill School grounds, Oakfields Wood and much more. An evening not to be missed.
