TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER

The Barnet (Free Parking Places, Loading Places, Waiting, Loading and Stopping
Restrictions) (Amendment No. 137) Order 2021

Made: 4th March 2021

Coming into operation: 11th March 2021

The Council of the London Borough of Barnet, having consulted the Commissioner of Police
of the Metropolis, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 6 and 124 of and
Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984(1) and of all other powers thereunto
enabling, hereby make the following Order: -

1. Citation and commencement

1.1 This Order shall come into operation on Thursday 11th March 2021 and may be cited
as The Barnet (Free Parking Places, Loading Places, Waiting, Loading and Stopping
Restrictions) (Amendment No. 137) Order 2021

2. Interpretation

2.1 In this Order “the Order of 2014” means The Barnet (Free Parking Places, Loading
Places and Waiting Loading and Stopping Restrictions) Consolidation Order 2014(2)

2.2 Any reference in this Order to any enactment shall be construed as a reference to
that enactment as amended, applied, consolidated, re-enacted by or as having effect
by virtue of any subsequent enactment.

3. Substitution of Map Tiles

3.1 Without prejudice to the validity of anything done or to any liability incurred in respect
of any act or omission before the coming into operation of this Order, the Order of
2014 shall have effect as though for the map tile attached to that Order and specified
in column 1 of Schedule 1 to this Order, there were substituted the map tile attached
to this Order and specified in relation thereto in column 2 of Schedule 1 to this Order.

3.2 The substitution of any map tile referred to in Article 3.1 of this Order will have the
effect of revoking any provision provided or designated by a previous version of that
map tile and not incorporated into the latest version.

4. Attachment of Map Tiles

4.1 The map tile specified in Schedule 2 to this Order is attached to the Order of 2014

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This Note is not part of the Order, but it is intended to indicate its general purport).

This Order makes changes to the charged-for, on-street parking provisions/restrictions in the
London Borough of Barnet at certain locations by replacing and adding versions of certain
map tiles to the Order of 2014.

The Barnet (Charged-for Parking Places) (Amendment No.99) Order 2021

STATEMENT OF REASONS

The above Orders relate to waiting restrictions, a Controlled Parking Zone and parking bays.

Without making any change to any existing on-street provision, restrictions or prohibitions, the Order will
formalise certain existing measures within the London Borough of Barnet which have subsequently been
erroneously omitted from The Barnet (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and
Stopping Restrictions) Consolidation Order 2014 and The Barnet (Charged-For Parking Places)
Consolidation Order 2014. The restrictions in relation to the above are as follows:

1. The “Past this point” restricted parking areas at Wheatley Close, Barford Close and Westside
NW7 operating between the hours of 1pm to 6pm on event days only.
2. The lengths of waiting restrictions operating between the hours of 1pm to 6pm on event days only
at Hall Lane NW7.
3. The lengths of permit holder only parking bays operating between the hours of 1pm to 6pm on
event days only at Hall Lane NW7.
4. The length of 7am to 7pm Monday to Saturday waiting restrictions outside No.17 Wilberforce
Road NW9.
5. The length of 7am to 7pm, Monday to Saturday waiting restrictions opposite No.19 Wilberforce
Road NW9.
6. The length of shared use resident permit holders, business permit holders and payment parking
bay operating between the hours of 9am to 5.30pm situated opposite No.21 to No.37 Wilberforce
Road NW9.
7. The length of 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Sunday waiting restrictions outside Nos.63 to 69 West
Heath Road NW3.
8. The length of 2pm to 6.30pm Monday and Friday waiting restrictions outside No.63 Station Road

9. The length of 11am to 12 Midday Monday and Friday waiting restrictions outside No.47 Ridge
Hill, NW11
10. The length of 11am to 12 Midday Monday and Friday waiting restrictions outside No.43 Victoria
