This chic beret has an elegant natty mock cable edging. The lazy daisies are added once the knitting is completed, before you sew the beret up. To finish off your daisies, add a french knot to the center of each one using a contrasting shade. Alternatively, you could use embroidery threads where you only have to purchase small amounts of each color.

Bettine
For me, the shrug is the most versatile of knitted garments. It also makes a great first project, as it is quicker to knit than a daunting full-size garment. Pretty beads intertwined in the lace pattern add beauty to this shrug. It will look equally stunning worn with jeans and a T-shirt as with a pretty summer dress.
