    WHAT DO TEXAS CONSTABLES DO?

    Basically translated, the deputy constables can do it all, including serve and execute civil process that regular police officers do not have the authority to do. I'm a city police officer and have worked in cooperation with many deputy constables from many different precincts. I have answered this question several times from people who can't believe that a deputy constable is arresting them or giving them a ticket.
