FORMER NAACP PRESIDENTS ENDORSE ROXANNE FOR MAYOR


(Walnut Hills) Four former presidents of the NAACP Cincinnati Branch today endorsed Roxanne Qualls for Mayor of Cincinnati. Im proud and humbled to receive the support of these longtime leaders in our community. Qualls continued saying, As a community organizer, they were my mentors and now I am so proud to have their support of my leadership. Together, we can create stronger, brighter futures for all of our neighborhoods. Marian Spencer, Milton Hinton, Paul Booth, and (councilmember) Wendell Young announced their support of Qualls and her campaign for mayor, encouraging all those that stand for equal rights and justice to join them in supporting Roxanne. Roxanne knows that a stronger Cincinnati involves all of us. She has the ability to bring us together. She has always been an outspoken advocate for equality and we know that we can trust her to make our communities and neighborhoods stronger, said Marian Spencer, the chapters first female president. Ive known Roxanne for a long time and her work as a community organizer has had a tremendous impact in all of our communities, Wendell Young continued, But theres more to do.
