What Are Volcanoes?
BasicPlanet.com
The volcano is where the earth’s crust gets broken and magma isable to flow through to up to surface and become lava. Volcanoes generally occur right at the edge of tectonic plates. These plates are actually massive slabs of rock that comprise Earth’s surface.

A popular way of classifying magmatic volcanoes is by their frequency of eruption:
Extinct Volcanoes - This is where thevolcano has not erupted in history sofar as we’ve recorded and evidencesuggests that it won’t. Active Volcanoes - These are when avolcano is at its most dangerous.Dormant Volcano - This is where therehas been an eruption in our history asfar back as we’ve recorded but it’sbeen quiet for some time.
