A very good morning to everybody. I am Sohaum Pattanayak from II B.

Now I am going to narrate a beautiful emotional story about a boy and his wonderful mother who had only one eye. The name of my story is My mom had only one eye. 1. My mom had only one eye. I hated her. She cooked for students and teachers to support the family. During my Primary School days, one day my mom came to the school to say hello to me. I was so ashamed. I ignored her, threw her a hateful look and ran out. The next day at the school one of my classmates said How funny your mom has only one eye. I wanted to burry myself. I also wanted my mom to just disappear. I confronted her that day and said If you only want me to make a laughing stock, why dont you just die? My mom did not respond. I did not even stop to think for a second about what I had said because I was full of anger and did not care for her feelings.

And to this, my mother quietly answered Oh, I am sorry. I may have gotten the wrong address and she disappeared out of sight. 12. One day a letter regarding my school old boys meet, came to my house. I lied to my wife that I was going on a business trip. 13. After the meeting at the school, I went to the old shack just out of curiosity. 14. The neighbours said that she had died. I did not shed a single drop of tear. They handed me a letter she had wanted me to have.

My dearest son, I think of you all the time. I am sorry that I came to your house and scared your children. I was so glad when I heard that you were coming to the school for the old boys meet. But I may not be able to get out of bed to see you. I am sorry that you were constantly ashamed of me when you were growing up. You see, when you were very little, you got into an accident and lost one eye. As a mother I could not stand watching you to grow up with only one eye. So I gave you mine. I was so proud of my son, who was seeing a whole new world for me with my eye. With all my love to you. Your mother Moral Mothers love is so selfless and pure.
