18 result of a subpoena, grand jury subpoena that
19 was issued for E-mail communications as one of
20 the contacts. What happened --

23 provided in electronic form and what happened to
24 them in our forensics unit is they had to index
25 them by document and put into a software system

6 A It was negotiated -- my understanding is
7 it was negotiated through representation from the
8 House.
9 Q So the House Democratic Caucus gave you

11 A Specifically Mr. Chadwick would have been
12 involved in this process.
13 Q Who is that?
14 A He is employed by -- he 1S actually I
15 believe a contractual employee for the House. I
16 don't really want to -- I don't know specifically
17 exact 1y what hi s background is. I know I looked
18 at his Web page and so forth but I don't feel
19 comfortable going by that. He is employed by the
20 Caucus in some capacity.
21 Q When you say that it was also provided to
22 you in an electronic format, do you mean it was
23 on a di sk?
24 A The initial E-mails, I personally don't
25 know how they were transformed from step A, the

4 wasn't involved in that process.

6 that these E-mails came from any computer in
7 particular? You don't have the IP address to
8 trace it to a particular computer, correct?
9 A The House gave them to us and these
10 E-mails were obtained as a result of the system
11 at the House.
12 Q That's not my question. My question is
13 you didn't go to the particular hard drive of Mr.
14 Veon's computer or Miss Rosepink's computer and
15 you as law enforcement did not retrieve these
16 E-mails from those hard drives according to your
17 test imony?
18 A I did not personally do that, no.
19 Q Nor did any law enforcement person? It
20 was the House Democratic Caucus according to your
21 test imony?
22 A Again I was not involved ln the process.
23 That is my understanding of how it took place.
24 We have had a lot of hard drives, a lot of
25 di fferent thi ngs invol ved here. So to speak

6 to say, if an E-mail came from my computer, like
7 I said, I may not ask the question technically
8 correct, let's say I am going to send you an
9 E-mail. Let's just say you get an E-mail with my
10 name on it and if you can identify the IP
11 address, you can say, yeah, this came from
12 Cynthia Eddy's computer?
13 A Again, I have no expertise in computer
14 forensics or in identification of IP that I feel
15 confi dent in testi fyi ng to. You're aski ng for my
16 opinion and
