Holy Fathers Prayer Intentions for September 2013

Carpeting Replacement
The carpeting on the main floor of St. Marys church has served the parish well for 30 years, but is overdue for replacement. In preparation for replacement, a number of parishioners have been asked to assist in choosing new carpeting. Arts Furniture has given us an estimate of $9100 to replace all carpeting on the main floor, including the sanctuary and entrance. Any contributions to defray the expense of replacement will be greatly appreciated! UPDATE: The carpeting has arrived at Arts! Unfortunately, it may be some time before it can be installed. Its hoped that the work will be done by the First Sunday of Advent, December 1, 2013. Pro-Life Messages
Norma McCorvey, the "Jane Roe" of the Roe vs. Wade 1973 Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion, is now a pro-life Catholic. On March 23, 1997, she declared these memorable words: "I am Norma McCorvey. I became known as Jane Roe on January 22, 1973, when the U.S. Supreme Court released the Roe v. Wade decision, which created a woman's "right to abortion". I am now a child of God, a new creature in Christ; I am forgiven and redeemed. Mass Intentions
As Catholics, we have a long tradition of having Masses celebrated for those we wish to offer up in prayer. The Mass is the ultimate form of prayer, and each Mass is celebrated for an intention.
