Carpeting Replacement
The carpeting on the main floor of St. Marys church has served the parish well for 30 years, but is overdue for replacement. In preparation for replacement, a number of parishioners have been asked to assist in choosing new carpeting. Arts Furniture has given us an estimate of $9100 to replace all carpeting on the main floor, including the sanctuary and entrance. Any contributions to defray the expense of replacement will be greatly appreciated! UPDATE: The carpeting has arrived at Arts! Unfortunately, it may be some time before it can be installed. Its hoped that the work will be done by the First Sunday of Advent, December 1, 2013. (Received by Diocese as of July 31, 2013) Goal Malta/Whitewater: $23,789.36 Dodson: $3,920.51 Saco: $1,244.11 Remaining $13,285.36 $3,125.51 $1,009.11
Starting this year, C&S donations will be tracked by the diocese. We will receive updates from the diocese on a monthly basis, so more recent donations will not show until the next months update. Thank you for your support of Care and Share!

Pro-Life Messages
Norma McCorvey, the "Jane Roe" of the Roe vs. Wade 1973 Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion, is now a pro-life Catholic. On March 23, 1997, she declared these memorable words: "I am Norma McCorvey. I became known as Jane Roe on January 22, 1973, when the U.S. Supreme Court released the Roe v. Wade decision, which created a woman's "right to abortion". I am now a child of God, a new creature in Christ; I am forgiven and redeemed. Today, I publicly recant my involvement in the tragedy of abortion. I humbly ask forgiveness of the millions of women and unborn babies who have experienced the violence of abortion. In this place of healing, the National Memorial for the Unborn, I stand with those who honor the worth of every unborn child as created in the image of God. I will strive, in the name of Jesus, to end this holocaust."

Mass Intentions
As Catholics, we have a long tradition of having Masses celebrated for those we wish to offer up in prayer. The Mass is the ultimate form of prayer, and each Mass is celebrated for an intention. Please consider having Masses celebrated for family and friends on special occasions and anniversaries, as well as those who are in need of prayers. Masses are also encouraged in memory of those loved ones who have died, especially on the anniversaries of their deaths. Contact Fr. Cory for more information! Follow us on Facebook and Twitter!
