Be a Customer Obsessed Company - Customer First 24x7 No.1 Tyre Brand in India Most profitable Tyre Company in India Motivated and Committed team for excellence in performance Be a Green Company Deliver Enhanced Value to all stakeholders Enhance global presence through Acquisition / JV / Strategic Partnerships Critical analysis of Vision and mission Vision means what the organisation would like to become and mission is the purpose of organisation existence. If we look at the vision of JK tyres, they want to be the most admired company in India. To support this vision mission is established. Their mission is quite is focussed and narrow. They are focussed that they want to be profitable keeping in mind the environmental factor and they also want to serve the customer 24*7 keeping it their primary motive. They want to grow in terms of acquisition, strategic partnerships. For e.g. Acquisition of Tornel Group and implementation of expansion projects, by year end growth will get further accelerated. And recently they are into acquiring rubber plantation in counties like Malaysia, Indonesia to secure raw material supplies. This kind of focussed approach very clearly states the organisations primary business. This type of narrow mission statement may be a best in turbulent industry because it focussed on what it does the best.

Core values "Excellence comes not from mere words or procedures. It comes from an urge to strive and deliver the best. A mindset that says, When it is good enough, improve it. It is a way of thinking that comes only from a power within." Caring for people Integrity including intellectual honesty, openness, fairness & trust Commitment to excellence Core competency decided to stick to our core competencies of making cars and commercial vehicle tyres. At JK Tyre, not only human resource, but the entire management team works with this perspective. As such, we have a clearly defined framework of competencies, and development centres designed on these competencies; we also have coaching and mentoring processes, that we call Krishna-Arjuna. We have tailor-made management development programmes and crossfunctional and cross border job rotations too. We have a novel process called strategic workforce management that has been implemented and practiced in consultation with Prof Richard Beatty from USA.
