A written report is to be submitted with following parameters: 1. A topic is to be selected by the student on any modern product, like cars, aircraft, communication equipment, machinery etc. EVERY student must select a UNIQUE topic. NO DUPLICATION. You loose marks if your topic is duplicate with other students. EACH Student is to provide HIS topic to the CR by 10th March 2012, which will book that topic for the first student submitting THAT topic. Others have to then submit another unique topic. 2. The report must include the following topics: a. INTRODUCTION of the topic. This should be HALF a page of discussion on the topic, what it deals with, what are major salient features of the product, who are the manufacturers, what are the advantages and disadvantages of the product. b. MANUFACTURING PROCESSES used in your particular product. List major manufacturing processes used in producing you product, with only ONE or TWO sentences describing each of the processes. This part must NOT exceed TWO pages. c. DETAILED MANUFACTURING PROCESS; select only ONE of the manufacturing processes used in producing your product. Discuss that particular process with reference to your product only. This part must NOT exceed ONE page. d. MARKET POTENTIAL of your product. Discuss about the marketability of your product, if it is a consumer product, or military item, or an industrial product. How well it compares with products made by other companies, especially equivalent Chinese product. This part must NOT exceed HALF a page. 3.
