The Food science department and Technology of Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) in collaboration with FAO Rome, is pleased

to announce, the call for application to participate in piloting and testing of the ENACT module. The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations is working to develop institutional and professional capacities in nutrition education in Africa through the Education for Effective Nutrition in Action (ENACT) project, funded by the German Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection (BMELV). The project is aimed at developing, pre-testing and disseminating a basic certificate course in nutrition education at undergraduate level, to be delivered both face-to-face and online. Sokoine University of Agriculture in Tanzania is among the six African universities selected as partners for piloting the ENACT module, other Universities include: the University of Botswana, Hawassa University in Ethiopia, the University of Ghana, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture in Nigeria, and Makerere University in Uganda. The module is mainly designed for developing countries, in particular Africa. It is pitched at undergraduate level, but is aimed at all who have or will have the professional need to handle nutrition education in some form or another The main objective of the call is to invite applications for participating in piloting and testing of the ENACT module. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA Be a citizen of the United Republic of Tanzania Be willing to stay in Morogoro for 11 weeks (15th-oct-27th Dec) Have completed Human Nutrition or Food Science Degree in 2013 and taken course HN 306(Nutrition Information, Education and Communication) MODE OF APPLICATION Application should be by email, documents should be submitted as soft copy to the given mail address below.
