1. Welcome Everyone The speaker called the meeting to order at 6:05 2. Western School Song Lead by Akuah 3. Roll Call Roll Call done by Speaker Maha 4. Adoption of Agenda Motioned by Maha, Seconded by Jacqueline 5. Presentations to Council USC VP Finance Spencer Brown & Fahad Khan Fahad Presentation on what is available for use at campus at the UCC Please see the PowerPoint for contact information and further details. The WAVE and The SPOKE provide a location for events. CREATIVE SERVICES provides a location for printing and for various marketing needs. Dream Team Update Jacqueline Spain A new facebook page was made today. An event is happening Friday with proceeds going to Dream Team . Our goal for the year was announced and the charity is trying to raise $8000 to provide a wish through the Make a Wish Foundation. There is an upcoming coffee house with date and information to be announced. O-Week Presentation Joseph Tropiano A presentation about what the SOFs did throughout the O-week schedule. It was all a success and thank you to all who participated. FHS Formal Kristen Crane The health science formal will be on Friday November 8th . This year we would like to increase ticket sales from 208 to 300 sold. We want to create a strong tradition with the 3 schools and an inclusion of all aged students. Promotions will be worked on prior to the event a video as a success last year. Theme ideas for the formal were presented. Fire and Ice, Feel the Beat, Bleeding Love, and Casino Royal. A vote was taken and Fire and Ice is the standing theme - a name change is being considered.

6. Presidents Announcements Laura - Updated on Homecoming activities and the breakfast event. An update was given on Taylor Library which is known as the science library there are plans for

renovations for the future. Suggestions were asked for stress relievers for Taylor Library tables during exams. 7. Members Announcements VPs: Events, Finance, Student Affairs, Student Events, Communications Finance - Sumer Thank you for all those that completed the application for the financial committee. An SOF info session for all students is a current idea. Affairs Morgan Change Camp Health Science is a new initiative this year. We want to bring ideas and concerns directly to the Dean from the community. This would be done through social media and email to gather student feedback as hard evidence. Long term we would like to use the website to get constant feedback throughout the year. Fall preview day is approaching on November 16th and council volunteers are needed. Please sign up on the Google document. Communications Jessica No updates School Council Presidents Fazi Council positions were filled this past week Kristin - Facebook page launched today. First school clothing sale is coming up. USC Councillors Bus routes are currently being discussed for Fanshaw bus routes. Peer Support Network committee was discussed. Students-At-Large Members-At-Large Senate The Senate has not met yet. Deans Office The Ontario University Fair was a success and there was high attendance. On the 26th of October there is an open house for graduate Health Science Programs.

Registration is online. Head Soph Commissioners/Coordinators (Website, Social Media and Publications, FHS Games, Programming, Merchandise) FHS Games Currently being planned. Programming Wrist Bands for Ceeps are available for 5$. Merchandise Class Crest was chosen from the one submission. Governance Officer Speaker/Deputy Speaker

8. Council Business I. Constitution Reform Motion An overview about what the constitution is and how it is used was presented by the Governance Office. There are new and amended roles this year added to the constitution that has been updated since the last time in 2009. A motion to accept the new constitution CONSTITUTION REFORM was presented. Motion carried. The constitution will be sent out at the end of the meeting. 9. Question Period 10. New Business The 4th floor study area will have electrical access. HSB will be looked into opening on the weekends for future. There is a Governance Standing Committee coming up where all Members of the . Fazi will do photography for the Health Science Formal. 11.
