Goodwill Has Extended Hours for Halloween Stores open one hour later seven nights in October, two in November
BOSTON (October 8, 2013) The Goodwill Store is one of the best places to find that one of a kind Halloween costume. And now, shoppers will have more time to look and shop. The Goodwill Stores will be open an hour later on multiple Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays in October and the 1st and 2nd in November to accommodate the increased number of shoppers who are looking for Halloween costumes as well as shopping for fall and winter clothes. The dates the stores will be open an hour later are Oct. 17-19, 24-26, 31, and Nov. 1 and 2. With the extended hours, the Allston-Brighton and South Attleboro stores will be open until 9 p.m., the Boston, Cambridge, Jamaica Plain, Somerville, South Boston, Quincy, and Worcester stores until 8 p.m., and the Hyannis store until 7 p.m. Goodwill is well-known as a destination for Halloween, especially for those who are looking for unique costumes at affordable prices, said Jason Marshall, vice president of retail at Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries. These extended hours will give busy shoppers more time to look for that perfect costume. In October, shoppers can also donate $1 to Goodwill for a trick or treasure scratch ticket that could reveal a discount of up to 50% that can be used on a November purchase. Proceeds from the scratch tickets support Goodwills programs and services. Locally, Goodwill serves 10,000 people a year, providing job training, career services, and youth programs. Goodwills mission is to help people with barriers to self-sufficiency achieve independence and dignity through work.
