Chapter one: party

Summer vacation began. We were throwing Asia a surprise birthday party. She
loved surprises and she kept on dropping us hints like “my cousin Shaunee had an amazing
surprise birthday party; I wish someone would throw me one”. We would just roll our eyes.
Bella was in charge of the decorations, Daniel was in charge of the music (the life of
any party), he said he would bring all of the music DJ equipment and told us not to pay. It
always surprised me how Danny could afford it. I was in charge of the coke that I would I bake
and other food stuff. Shane was in charge of getting Asia to Bella’s house (where the party’s
being held) and keeping Asia distracted.
Shane was her boyfriend and asked her out a month ago. He asked me first if
everything was cool between us and if Asia doesn’t hold any amount of hatred for him.
Shane is one of my best friends and Danny’s okay with that (I actually had to convince him that
Shane wouldn’t try anything).
It was the day of the party and I baked Asia’s favorite cake, pinacolada cake (yes I
included alcohol in it but I made a cake without alcohol too just in case people were trying to
stay off alcohol). I went to Bella’s house. I reached there early so I helped Bella set up.

Doorbell rings.

I opened the door and it was Daniel. “Hey babe” he said.

“Hey babe” I said and gave him a quick kiss.
“You mind helping me carry the equipment, its kinda heavy” he asked.
“Sure, how did you get all of this isn’t this stuff expensive” I asked him staring at the
backseat of his convertible.
“I know a guy who knows a guy” he simply said.
“You sound like you work for the underworld” I said.
“Maybe I do” he winked. I rolled my eyes.
The equipment was so heavy that I almost broke my back. Shane was strong enough
to help but he was with Asia. It was surprising that Danny could lift the entire speaker by
himself but I was afraid of him breaking anything that I insisted on someone else helping him.

 The guests finally started to arrive. Lisa, Ebony and Jess came together. Lisa went up
to Rory. They’re dating now. Jessica dumped him because of the guilt of loosing Lisa as a
friend. Now Lisa had no excuse to beat me up she already got what she wanted. Marie and
Giselle came later; they were close friends of Asia in economics class. Other people from our
grade also came. We thought we would invite her cousin Shaunee too for fun and also because
she was Asia’s favorite cousin.
It was 6pm, the time when Asia and Shane was supposed to come. So everyone
went to their hiding spots. Even Danny and I hid as we were supposed to be out on a date.
Doorbell rang and Bella opened it.
Asia said “hey Bella didn’t mean to disturb you but Shane said that he left his camera so we came
to get”.
“Sure come in” Bella said.
The hallways lights went off, that was our cue to go to the hall, we had 20 seconds for
us to go to the main room and uncover the heavy equipment while Bella faked a power
shortage. Daniel organized the entire thing so well.

Lights were back on and we all screamed “surprise!”

She jumped and then said “Oh my God, you’ll actually did this for me” she then turned to
Shane and said, “and you knew and didn’t tell me”.
“Then what’s the point of the surprise” Shane said, “happy birthday babe”. And then they
kissed intimately.
Danny cleared his throat. They both turned and after Asia’s blush turned down she said,
“Thanks guys, this is awesome”. She then see’s Shaunee and says, “Oh my God, You
came!”
They did some weird handshake and then Shaunee says, “you didn’t think I’d miss you 17th
birthday now did you.”
“Thanks for coming” Asia said.

I saw Danny roaming around so I yelled, “Danny”. No response. “Daniel” no response.

“Daniel Taylor James”. He turned and asked me “why’d you yell my entire name?”
“To get your attention. Can you start up the music? I’m beginning to think that the whole

carrying heavy stuff was for no reason” I said.
“I’ll get on it.” He sighed.
And then he left. Then I turned to Shaunee and said “I hope you’re not feeling left out. I got
the food from the best caterers, hope you like it”.
“I’m good” Shaunee said.
“Jane, how did you get Shaunee’s number?” Asia asked.
“Actually Daniel got it.” I said.
“Wow, Shaunee’s number was really hard to find for me. Daniel must work for the FBI or
something” Asia giggled.
“Yeah, boy am I lucky to be dating an FBI agent”.
We all laughed and then I seen Lisa eying me. She excused herself from her gang and goes
towards Danny. They both had some kind of in-depth conversation. I caught Lisa mouthing “she
knows”. What were they talking about? Maybe they were talking about us giving Asia birthday
bumps and maybe Asia found out.

It was time to cut the cake so everyone went to the center of the room where our cake
was. We all started to sing the usual ‘happy birthday’ song when suddenly Shane and Danny
started Beat boxing the song. At the end everyone cheered for them. Then Asia cut the cake and
ate it and looked at me and said “OMG, you baked me a pinacolada cake”.
“Yup” I said and then screamed to everyone else, “There’s another cake for those who
don’t drink alcohol so enjoy”.
“Hey babe” Danny snuck up on me and kissed my ear.
“Hey, why didn’t you tell me you could beat box?” I asked.
“I’ve been taking lessons and I wanted to surprise you.” He smiled.
“Aww baby, who from” I asked.
“Shane, but he’s much better than me” he said.
“You were still great. I think someone needs a kiss” I asked angelically.
“Yes I do” he grinned. Then we kissed slowly and sweetly, and then our kiss deepened and
intensified.
Then we heard Asia saying ‘and they thought we were wrong for kissing in public”.
Danny and I laughed. The party ended later and people started to leave.

Chapter two

I was still sleepy from yesterday’s party so I decided to sleep longer.

Sometimes I just knew I was dreaming. An almost instinctual feeling. I was probably dreaming
right now. I was on a beach sunbathing, the heat felt nice against my skin. I looked at the sea
and I saw a beautiful man coming out of the water. It was Taylor Daniel Lautner, yummy! He
came out of the waster and sat next to me. I then turned to him and realized that he was
wearing nothing but swimming trunks and I was wearing a dangerously small bikini.
“Hey Jane Zodiac” Taylor said. Oh my sweet Lord, did he just speak to me?
“Hey” I replied.
“So what are you doing tonight?” he asked me, his fingers lingering above my hips. “Nothing
much” I said.
He then smiled and asked in a very sexy voice “so I heard you can’t swim”.
“I can swim, you have wrong sources” I told him, trying to put on my sexy voice as well.
“Oh” he said, his fingers on still on my hips now traveling down my back.
“I think I forgot” I told him flirtatiously, “could you teach me?” I asked him, my hands on
his exposed chest and my fingers tracing random patterns around his abs.
“Sure” he said against my ear, his teeth slightly tugging on my earlobe. Then his voice turned
into those of a lady and said “wake up sweetie”.

I fluttered my eyes open and seen my mom on my bed. “Mom, why did you wake me up?” I asked
grumpily.
“I didn’t want to but hearing my daughter moan is not something I wanted to hear. We’re
going shopping. Sam’s going to meet us there.” Mom said.
“Fine, I’ll be there in 10 minutes”
I brushed my teeth and went down for breakfast. I had my usual cornflakes and milk.

Seconds, hours, so many days

That was Danny’s ring tone. He hated that I had put ‘love story’ as his ring tone before. So I
changed it to ‘No boundaries’ by Kris Allen. He doesn’t like that the song is sung by Kris Allen
but he likes that the song was written by Kara Dioguardi.
“Hey babe” I answered,
“Hey Jane” he said almost urgently, “Are you doing anything today?”
“Yes, I’m going shopping with mom and Sam” I told him.
“Fine but don’t go alone” he said.
“Why not?” I asked.
“Babe, I really can’t say it right now” he said.
“You’re so distant lately” I said in a sad tone.
“I got to go, bye babe” he said and cut off the phone. Rude much?

“Get dressed, we have to leave fast, Sam’s already waiting for us” mom yelled. I went
to my room and got dressed into my jeans and black shirt. It wasn’t very good-looking but I
wasn’t in the mood so I decided to wear whatever.

In the mall we met Sam, she said “hey Emma, you brought Jane too, how are you?”
“Good” I replied, “so why are we shopping?”
“Your mom and I are going to a prestigious event, so we have to look good” Sam said.
“So why am I here?” I asked.
“You could shop too if you like” she said sweetly.
“That’s fine Sam; I’ll sit in the food court and call Asia” I replied.
“Bye sweetie” mom said.
I made my way to the court and called Asia. “Hey Asia, are you busy?” I asked.
“I’m at the mall with Bella” she replied.
“Why wasn’t I invited?” I asked hurt.
“You didn’t lift up the phone” she defended.
“Fine, which mall are you in?” I asked.
“Seafire Hills Mall” she stated.
“I’m there too, at the food court, meet me there” I told them.
I hung up the phone and seen Bella and Asia at the pizza hut place. I went to them and
hugged them.

“So guess what?” I said, “I had a Lautner-licious dream today”
“Oh My Gosh” Asia said, “Does Daniel know? Will he get jealous?”
“He’ll be very jealous.” I told them.
I told them about my dream with interruptions of ‘ooh’ and ‘aahs’. They all told me I was the
luckiest girl because of my dream since they liked Taylor Lautner too but didn’t get a dream of
him.
We went roaming around the mall scoping guys (checking out guys) and picking out
someone for Bella. “Where’s Danny? Why didn’t you call him here? Is it because Shane’s
not her?” Bella asked me.
“Danny’s busy with something but he’s not telling me what” I told them.
“You think he’s cheating on you?” Asia asked.
“But that’s not like Daniel even though he’s a moron” Bella said.
“If he’s cheating, I’ll get Shane to beat him up” Asia said.
“I don’t think he’s cheating on me but something’s up.” I said.
“What do you mean?” Asia said.
“He’s gone most of the time but so is Lisa so I’m sure it’s nothing because he loves me”. I said.
“I’m sure your right but just in case call him, it’ll help straighten things out” Bella said.
“Your right, I’ll message him right now” I said and send him a message saying:

‘Hey, need to talk, call me at 2pm xoxo Janice’

“Why did you sign off Janice?” Asia asked.

“So that he knows it’s important” I said.
I went home later and had a nice relaxing bubble bath. I had lunch and watched TV. I
fell asleep watching NCIS but I didn’t get any dreams.

When I woke up it was 6pm. I checked my phone and seen no messages or missed
calls. I asked my mom if Danny came over but she said no. Maybe Danny didn’t get my
message, maybe he’s busy. I called Bella to help clear my mind.
“Hey Bella?” I asked.
“Hey Jane, how’s Daniel” Bella asked concerned.
“He didn’t even call me or try to contact me and we haven’t even spoken properly since

school ended” I confessed.
“Don’t worry, maybe he’s sleeping. Call him tomorrow? Things will be fine” she reassured me.
“I hope your right” I said.

Next Day.
It was 12 in the afternoon so I called Danny. “Hey babe” he answered.
“Hey, umm did you get my message yesterday?” I asked.
“What message?” he asked confused.
“Can we meet now; I’ll come to your place in half an hour” I told him.
“What’s this about?” he asked worried, maybe guilty.
“See you” I cut the phone before he could say anything and I had low battery so I switched
the phone off.

I went to his house and rang the door bell. Lisa opened it. “Hey is Danny there?” I
asked her.
“No he’s out, he told me you would come” Lisa said.
“I’ll wait till he comes” I told her.
“Alright, but don’t touch anything and upstairs is off limits” she warned and left.
“Whatever” I said and sat on the couch.
I watched ‘ugly betty’. It had been almost been an hour and Danny hadn’t showed up yet. I
called up Bella.
“Hey Jane, where are you?” Bella asked me.
“At Danny’s place, but he’s not home. I’ve been waiting for an hour but he’s not here. I told
him I was coming” then I realized something and sorrow washed over me, “I think he’s avoiding
me”.
“Don’t be upset. Why don’t we meet somewhere?” she asked.
“Come to the Café now, thanks for doing this Bella” I told her sincerely.
“What are best friends for see you there” she said and hung up.

Chapter three

I left Danny’s house without telling Lisa. I went to the café. It was a place where a lot
of coffee addicts hang out and since Bella and I were coffee addicts we went there often. I sat at
my regular table. “Hey Jane, you look so upset” Bella commented.
“I think Asia’s right, he is cheating on me”. I told her.
“Maybe, but let him tell you first. Did you call him here?” she asked.
“No, why?” I asked confused.
“Because he’s here” he stated.
I turned around and see Danny at the door smiling his sexy smile. Then he made eye
contact with me and his smile dropped. He wasn’t glad to see me or at least looks like that.
He grabs a chair and sits next to me and says “hey babe”, he kisses my cheek and says, “you
came home but left without telling Lisa and”
Marie and Giselle interrupted Danny by coming and talking to Bella about Asia’s
party. Then they left and Danny spoke again, “you look like you haven’t slept in a while.
What happened?”
“It’s probably nothing” I said and then turned to Bella, “I’m sorry I called you here but
can Danny and I be alone”.
“Sure, I’ll get a coffee to go” Bella said.
“See you later caffeine junkie” Danny told Bella smirking.
“Bye Jane” she smiles dimly to me and leaves us.
“What’s her problem; she usually gives some smart-ass comment.” Danny asked me.
“Nothing, why are you here” I asked him.
“To look for you, you called me sounding so upset but I had to go somewhere
immediately then Lisa said that you came and left without telling her” he explained, “you
seemed so upset that I had to see you”. How did he know I was upset and that I would be here? I
ignored those questions and asked him, “Do you still love me?”
He looked shocked and said “of course I still love you. What’s this about?”
“You have been acting so weird lately. You’ve been ignoring me and I don’t know” I said and
started sobbing.
“Don’t cry, please don’t. I can’t make sense of what you’re saying so can you slow down and
tell me what’s wrong” he pleaded.

“Are you seeing someone else?” I asked simply.
“No, why would you think that” he asked confused.
“Ever since vacation started, you’ve never been around so much, it’s just hard. Most couples
spend more time after vacation but for us we hardly even see each other” I said having no
control over my emotions.
“Listen to me, I love you and no one else and it’s very difficult to explain why I’m gone
most of the time” he said.
“Try me” I challenged.
“Fine, wrong use of words, it’s very easy to explain but I can’t. There’s a 50% chance of
you believing me but I’m not allowed to” he tried to explain
“You don’t trust me?” I asked.
“No it’s not that” he tried to justify.
I had enough of this. I had to leave before he could say anything worse. He tried to stop
me but I pulled away from him and got in my ‘ford’ car.
When I reached home I checked my cell phone and saw 20 missed calls from Danny and
5 messages all asking me to let him explain. He called again and this time I answered.
“Hey, you finally lifted it up” he asked.
“I thought I’d let you explain” I told him.
“Thanks, so umm here it goes. I can’t tell you everything so I’ll tell you a part of it but you
have to believe what I say.”
“Fine, just say it”.
“I kinda got a job’ he struggled, “I can’t tell you more, I’m sorry. I kinda promised my boss.”
“I believe you, I guess. So is the job fun” I asked.
“Yeah” he said.
“I’m going to sleep now, I had a long day” I told him.
“Sure, bye babe” he said lovingly.
“Bye” I said and hung up.

I was so glad he wasn’t cheating on me. I called Bella to tell her the good news.
“Hello” Rory answered,
“Hey Rory, is Bella there?” I asked
“Yeah, hold on” he said.

I waited for like 10 seconds then Bella answered “hey Jane, tell me what happened”
“He’s not cheating on me; he just got a job that no one should know about” I told her happily.
“I’m so glad to hear that. Listen, I’m going to take a shower now so bye.”
“Bye” I hung up.

My phone rang and it was an unknown caller. “Hello” I answered.
“Hey Jane, its aunt Emily” she said
“Hey Aunt Emily, when are you’ll moving here” I asked excited.
“Next week, don’t forget to tell your mom. Thanks for doing this, divorce has been tough”
she said.
‘It’s totally fine, I can finally see drew after 5 years” I exclaimed
“He’s so excited to see his favorite baby cousin. I’m going to continue packing, bye” she said.
“Bye” I hung up.

Chapter four

Next week - Sunday - At the Smoothie Shack.

It was so much fun to see all of us at the smoothie shack with Danny, Bella, Asia,
Shane, Lisa and Rory.
“Guess what, my cousin Drew is moving today” I told them.
Danny and Lisa glance at each other and then Lisa asked me “what’s his full name?”
“Drew Baker why?” I said.
“Name sounded familiar” Lisa stated.
“So is he cute?” Bella asked.
“He’s 20” I said,
“So what, I’m 18 and age doesn’t matter”.

‘You got to help me out

It’s all a blur last night
We need a taxi, cuz you’re hung over and I’m broke’

My phone rang (Waking up in Vegas - Katy Perry), Aunt Emily was calling me.
“Hey” I answered.
“Hey Jane, where are you?”
“With my friends, why have you reached already?” I asked.
“Yes, we’re waiting for you.” She said anxiously.
“I’m on my way, bye” I hung up.

I told my friends that I was going home. Danny and I shared a 10 seconds kiss and
then I left. When I reached home I saw my mom, Aunt Emily and I’m guessing Drew on the
couch. Emily had long brown hair and brown eyes and an amazing body for a 40 year old. I
hugged her. Drew was hot! He had black hair and chestnut colored eyes. His body looked like he
had been working out.
“Hey Janice” Drew smiled and said.
“Hey Drew, you know you can call me Jane right?” I said.

“Alright, I’ll call you Jane” he smiled.
We hugged; it was a nice and warm hug, a hug a brother would give to a sister.
“So where do I sleep?” he asked.
“My room, you don’t mind right?” I asked.
“No I don’t, you look different, prettier than before” he commented.
“Thanks” I blushed, “you look different compared to when we were kids and made sand
castles.”
“Yeah I remember. I covered you up with sand and you were crying because I was older than
you and I was bullying you. So how old are you known?”
“17, you?” I asked.
“19, so do you have a boyfriend” he casually asked.
“Yeah, why are you jealous?” I smirked.
“No, I’m not. Can I meet him; I want to see who’s dating my baby cousin”.
“Shut up, I’m not a baby I’m just 2 years younger than you. I’m meeting him tomorrow;
if he’s not busy you can come too”.
“Alright, I’m going to set up in your room so don’t disturb” he stated and wailed upstairs.

Chapter five

Monday.
I told Danny to call everyone to the smoothie shack. I got dressed in my pink
spaghetti strap dress which makes my boobs look bigger. I waited down stairs for drew to
come. When Drew did come I was blown away by his hotness, then I looked away because it’s
not right to think of your cousin like that. “I’m ready Jane, lets meet him” Drew said and then
looked at me from top to down and said, “boy you’ve grown”.
“Eyes up here please” I said pointing to my eyes.
He laughed and said “let’s go”.

We went to the shack in Drew’s hummer. I introduced Drew to everyone and

everyone accepted him nicely. Drew sat with us at our regular table and saw Danny and said
“so you’re the punk dating my cousin”.
“I guess I am” he chuckled
“Can I see you outside for a second?” Drew asked.
“Sure” Danny said.
“Why are you talking to him” I asked Drew.
“He needs the elder brother talk” Drew told me.
“Alright just don’t hurt him” I told Drew.

They both went off to the rest room to talk. Bella immediately turns to me and says “Oh
my God! Your cousin is a major hottie. Set me up please?”
“What you love Jane so much you’ll do anything to be related to her” Shane snickered.
“At least I can be related to her, unlike you” Bella told Shane.
“That was a seriously lame comeback” Shane told her. Asia was just rolling her eyes as she
knew she couldn’t stop them. Lisa got bored so she went to see what was taking Danny so long
and Rory followed her.
After sometime Danny returned alone in one piece, thank God!
“So what were you‘ll talking about?” Danny asked us.
“Bella’s love for Jane Zodiac, don’t be jealous Daniel” Shane said. Bella rolled her eyes.
“Then the next thing I’ll do will make her jealous” Danny said and turned around and kissed
me softly and sweetly. I heard Drew in the Background saying “are they always this public?”

We pulled away and I grinned. It was getting late so all of us went home.
When we reached home I asked Drew “so what do you think of Daniel?”
“He seems stable, he’s a nice guy. I’m going to his place tomorrow he invited me. Just the two
of us so you can’t come. Just drop me there.” He blurted.
“Can I drive your hummer?” I asked.
“Fine” he said and kissed my forehead, “So your friend Bella is she single.”
“Yes why?” I asked suspiciously.
“Single and hot, sweet! Set me up please?” he asked shamelessly.
“What am I matchmaker” I asked sarcastically.
“Please?” he asked me with his puppy dog eyes.
“Alright.” I sighed.

Tuesday
It was 8pm. Drew and I said goodbyes to our mom’s and we left. When we reached he
told me “I’ll be back home in two hours, Daniel will drop me back”.
“Fine, I’ll come in and say hi”. I said.
I rang the doorbell and Danny opened it.
“Hey babe” he said and kissed me on the cheek, “what are you doing here?”
“I was just dropping Drew off, why’d you call him anyway.” I asked.
“I needed him to trust me” he shrugged and looked at his feet.

Just then a tall girl in brown hair, approximately in her early 20’s came out of the house
wearing a tight dress. She told Danny “Love, why are you outside stay inside with me”
LOVE! She then turned to drew and said, “If you’re Drew you better come in too” then she
turned to me and said, “You’re not supposed to be here”.
“Don’t worry I was just leaving” I told her cold and upset.
“Jane wait, it’s not what it looks like.” Danny defended himself.
Another girl was in Daniel’s house wearing tight clothes and called him ‘love’ and that was not
supposed to be cheating?
“Dude chill, I’ll talk to her later now let’s get in before we both get screwed” Drew
told Danny. Drew was supposed to be looking out for me but he just acted like he didn’t
care.

 I went home and watched T.V and ate comfort food (ice -cream and chocolate).
After a while the door opened, it was Drew and closely behind him was Daniel.

Chapter six

“Daniel has something to tell you and he’ll tell you the truth this time” Drew looked at
me then he gave a stern look at Danny.
“Now you’re supporting player here? What happened to the whole elder brother thing?” I
asked them still upset.
“Just listen to him please” Drew pleaded.
“Fine Daniel, explain to me why that skank was in your house wearing that dress and called you
love?” I asked him.
“Her name is Madison. She is just someone I work for and nothing else”. Danny told me.
“What do you work for?” I asked.
“That’s not something I can tell you Jane” he simply said.
“Then you’re not someone I want to date” I told him I seen him flinch – I had flinched internally
too.
“Would you just tell her James” Drew yelled at Daniel.
“You know we can’t tell anyone” Danny told Drew.
“Are you a Vampire?” I asked him because that was the only thing coming to my mind after
seeing the way they were talking and after reading the ‘Twilight” series.
“I told you not to watch Twilight, it just messes with your head” Danny told me.
“We can’t tell anyone unless it’s an emergency and this is clearly an emergency. You know I
didn’t have the elder brother talk with you before so I’m going to do it now. If she cries even
one tear I will find a way to get you demoted and you know I can do that.” Drew said pissed.
“Fine,” Danny told me, “I’m not cheating on you with her but I’m protecting her. That’s my
job.”
“Why is protecting your job?” I asked.
“Because I’m a secret agent and my family and I work for the Secret Agent Association” Danny
blurted.
“And I’m supposed to believe that?” I asked him shocked. He expected me to believe he
was a secret agent!
“It’s true” Drew said.
“Now you’re taking his side. You only know him for a day” I yelled at Drew.
“Actually I’ve known him since I was 8. That’s when I joined” Drew told me, he was

surprisingly calm.
“Prove to me that it’s true” I told them both.
“Fine, come to my house and I’ll show you the gadgets” Danny said.

So Drew and I got in Danny’s convertible to go to his house. On the way he mentioned
that the car belonged to the company. He also told me “the only reason I’ve not been able to
meet you is because I’ve been promoted. If I can take care of Madison, my promotion will be
confirmed. Drew can explain you all that later.”
I nodded.
“In school when I told you I went to Canada, I actually went to Japan for my training”
he told me.
“Would all of you’ll go?” I asked. I was curious if he was telling the truth.
“All? Just me and Lisa. My parents have already been trained” he smiled, maybe because I
was talking to him again.

We reached his house and rang the doorbell. Lisa opened the door and said “what’s she doing
here? You know Madison doesn’t like visitors.” Lisa asked.
“Its fine she just wants to see my room.” Danny told her.
“But check her first” Lisa said after thinking.
“She’s clean” Drew said.
“How do you know that?” Lisa asked.
“Fine, I actually don’t mind that part” Daniel turns to me and gave me a devilish grin. I
immediately knew what that meant. He said “I’m going to be very thorough and use my hands
and check you everywhere for Madison’s sake”.
“Whatever it takes to keep Maddie safe” I said, mirroring his grin.
“No, I’ll do it” Drew said. He pressed a button on his watch and a laser beam came out. It
scanned me from head to toe. The computer voice then say’s “all clear”.
“Thanks Drew, that saved me a lot of barfing” Lisa told Drew.
“I did it more for myself” Drew told her and gave a death glare to Danny.

Chapter seven

We entered his house and we went to the top floor where his room was. We ignored
Madison on our way up. We entered his room and it looked normal, I said “this room looks
exactly the same the last time I came here and Lisa almost beat me up”.
“She what?” Drew asked me.
“Nothing happened” I quickly said.
Danny points towards the poster of ‘Nickleback’ and told me to look under it. When I looked
under it I saw a black screen, I asked him “what does the screen do?”
He went towards the screen and puts his hand on it, then a white light scans his hand and
eyes and then a computer generated voice says “Welcome Daniel Taylor James”, Danny grins
at me. Then the wall lifts up about 6 feet giving us way to enter. Drew, Danny and I enter and
the wall quickly shuts behind us.
“So what do you want to see first?” Danny asked me.
“I don’t know.” I told him, shocked seeing all the gadgets around me.
“Show her the ‘changer’” Drew suggested.

Drew stood in a golden circle and wore a suit and a mask/helmet while Danny typed in a
couple of things on the computer keyboard and then he told me “watch Drew”.
I did as he said. Smoke filled the area where Drew was standing. After the smoke cleared I
realized it wasn’t Drew any more it was Taylor Lautner! I screamed like a crazy fan and
hugged Danny and Drew.
“Don’t try anything with me Jane, I’m Drew your cousin not Taylor Lautner” Drew said, he
looked a bit pale. I licked my lips to annoy Drew and because I liked to believe that Taylor was
actually there. Drew then told Danny “Turn me into something else; she’s looking at me
weird”.
“Yeah sure, I don’t like seeing her all exited over that asshole” Danny said and typed
something and some more smoke and Drew was now Kara Dioguardi. I laughed my butt off
because I know Danny was probably looking at Drew funny. Danny told Drew “hey Sexy”.
“Knock it off, I feel so violated” Drew said and removed the suit he was wearing to look like his
normal self again.
“Now do you believe me?” Danny asked me.

“Yeah I guess so, why didn’t you tell me this before. This is so cool.” I told Danny.
“If I told you before, how would I know you wouldn’t tell the evil guys and blow our
secret?” Danny grinned.
“We better go Jane, mom and Emma are probably waiting for us and after the whole fight thing
which I know they probably heard.” Drew said.
“Your right” I said and then turned to Danny and said “bye babe”. Then we kissed. We kissed
like no one was there in the room like there was only the two of us. This kiss was me
apologizing to him and that he was forgiving me. This kiss was us being on the same
ground and that everything is okay.
Then suddenly Danny pulled back and screamed like he was in pain.
“What’s wrong with you?” I asked Danny.
“Drew, that hurts, OW” Danny yelled at Drew.
“Sorry about that” Drew said but his tone not at all apologetic.
“Drew she’s my girlfriend for seven months, I’m allowed to kiss her” Danny said.
“Just not in front of me” Drew said, “that way”.
“Sorry Danny, bye” I said and left. We waved to Madison on our way. Danny dropped us
and went.
When we reached home mom and Emily eyed us weirdly. “Hey guys” Drew said trying to
break the silence.
“Why did you leave before, you’ll were yelling so loud. Are you alright?” Emily asked Drew
and me.
“Yeah mom I’m fine” I said but she didn’t seem to believe it. I whispered to Drew “help me
out here”.
“She’s fine mom it’s just PMS” Drew told Emily. PMS?! I gave Drew a death stare.
“Yeah, I’m going upstairs, Drew coming?” I asked trying to keep my voice normal.
“Sure” Drew said calmly. If only he knew what was waiting for him upstairs.

Drew and I went upstairs and entered my room. When we did I slammed the door
behind me and glared at drew. I felt like pouncing on him any second.
“What?” Drew asked me, losing some of the calm.
“PMS, couldn’t you have thought of anything better.” I yelled.
“Isn’t that what girls do, yell when they have PMS, you seem too been doing that a lot, seemed

reasonable” Drew said.
“I didn’t yell” I yelled.
“You’re doing that yelling thing right now” he pointed out.
“Alright, whatever, I’m going to have a shower” I said frustrated.
“Sure, I’ll continue setting up” he smiled.
I smiled and went to my closet and grabbed my stuff.

After my bath I went into my room and opened the door without thinking. BIG
mistake. When I opened the door I saw Drew wearing nothing but boxers.
“Oh, sorry” I blushed.
“Its fine Jane but you could have knocked” Drew smirked.
“I’m sorry; I’ll wait out till you’re done” I told him.
“I just have to wear my pants” he said.
“You’re not going for a bath” I asked him, my eyes on the floor.
“I think I can go one day without a shower” he told me and winked.
“Ok, eww. Shouldn’t you be wearing a shirt?” I asked.
“I don’t feel like wearing it” Drew said.

Chapter eight

“Fine, don’t wear your shirt” I told him.

“You should try it too sometime” he said playfully.
I rolled my eyes. He put his pants on while I sat on my bed. I patted my bed motioning
him to sit next to me, he did.
“Is Emily also an agent?” I asked him.
“No” he laughed. I guess he was thinking of her kicking butt.
“So how did you become an agent?” I asked him.
“Danny and I were neighbors and best friends when we were kids. He was 7 and I was 8 at the
time. He said he was going to this school and I wanted to go too. His parents kept telling me
no. I forced my mom after weeks off nagging and she finally agreed. I was going in the 4th
grade and Danny the 3rd grade. When I reached school I found out that the school was not an
ordinary school. They still thought us normal stuff but we had a lot of extra stuff to learn too
like exercise.
After my first day of school Mr. James picked me up. He told me not to tell anyone what my
school did. I’ve been an agent ever since”
“Did you ever want to quit?” I asked him.
“Not always, but even if I wanted to quit I couldn’t” He said.
“Umm do you mind putting your shirt back on?” I asked him. His body was so distracting
it was hard to talk without ogling.
“Why?” Drew smirked.
“Because I have never sat next this close to a guy shirtless except… never mind” I said not
wanting to talk about my dream.
“Danny sat in front of you shirtless?” he asked.
“No. I had a dream of Lautner shirtless” I blushed.
“No wonder you looked at me all funny today” Drew said.
“I’m going to sleep now what are you going to do?” I asked.
“I guess I’ll sleep too. We have to wake up early to meet Bella” Drew said.
“I didn’t tell her” I said confused.
“Its fine I messaged her already, she says ‘I’m coming and bring your cousin with you’” Drew
said and winked.

Wednesday
Danny was busy with Madison. Bella met Drew and I at the Smoothie Shack. I had no
choice but to go there. Bella had already arrived and she was waiting for us. When we opened
the door Bella beamed with excitement.
“Hey Bella” Drew said.
“Hey” Bella blushed, “where’s Danny.”
“He’s at work” I said.
“Oh so why did you call me? Are you having suspicions on Daniel again?” Bella asked.
“Again?” Drew asked me.
“No, I just thought that Drew and you should meet and get to know each other.” I winked.
“Okay then, what’s your favorite food?” Bella asked him.
“I like pizza and coffee” Drew said.
“Oh My Gosh, me too” Bella exclaimed.
Everyone loves pizza!
I decided to leave them alone and I faked that I had to go to the restroom. When I went to the
rest room I called Danny. “Hey babe” he answered.
“Hey, you busy?” I asked him.
“I’m going to drop Madison off to the airport and I’ll meet you later” he said.
“I’m at the Smoothie Shack with Drew and Bella, please rescue me.” I pleaded.
“I’ll be there as soon as possible, love you” he said.

I got out of the bathroom and went and sat next to them. “Hey, what have you’ll been
doing?” I asked them.
“We’ve been talking. Drew and I have so much in common” Bella said.
“Great” I said.
Just then my phone vibrated.
Seconds, hours, so many days

“Hey come outside” Danny asked.
“Why, you’re here?” I asked.
“Yes, super hero at your service”.
“I’m coming” I told him.

I went outside without telling Drew and Bella – they wouldn’t have noticed anyway. I saw
Daniel waiting outside waiting for me. He was wearing a white long sleeves shirt now rolled up,
black trousers and a black tie. He looked HOT!
“Why are you all dressed up?” I asked him.
“I had to dress formally because she was an important person” Danny told me.
“Well you should dress like this more often” I grinned.
“Oooooh, you know flattery will get you everywhere. What do you want?” he asked.
“How about a kiss? I don’t see any annoying cousins around to stop us” I winked.

He flashed me a grin that made my heart miss a beat. He put his arms around my waist and I
put my arms around his neck and we kissed intensely until we ran out of air. We both giggled.
We both entered the shack later and saw Drew and Bella holding hands. Danny and I looked at
each other and then Danny asked me “did you do that?”
“Yes, but I’m scared for Bella” I admitted.
“Why?” he asked.
“Because Bella told me that they spoke and have so much in common but how do I know that
he didn’t research those answers” I said.
“I’m sure there’s nothing like that” he reassured me.
“I hope your right” I said.
“You shouldn’t be judging your cousin you know” he teased.
“I know, I’m sorry” I apologized.
“Don’t apologize to me, let’s just get inside” Danny said and kissed my forehead.

We went and sat at our table and Danny said hi to Drew and Bella. “You should sit next to
Bella, I’m sitting next to Jane” Daniel told Drew. Bella smiled immediately. After the switch
took place Danny told Bella “I can’t believe you Bella, cheating on Jane with her own cousin”.
“I couldn’t help myself to someone so hot” Bella said.

“You think I’m hot?” Drew asked Bella.
“Yeah” Bella said and blushed.
“I was thinking, since we have so much in common, do you want to go out with me sometime,
just you and me” Drew said, looking Bella in the eye.
“Sure” Bella squealed.
“How about tomorrow we go watch a movie is that okay with you Daniel?” Drew asked.
“Fine with me, have fun both of you” Daniel said.
“I will, I finally have a date. Now you and Shane can stop annoying me with your ‘my love
for Jane’ jokes” Bella said. I chuckled.

“Jane do you want to leave Drew and our lesbian friend here alone so that we can go to my
place and show you more of my room” Danny asked me and winked.
“Sure why not, I’d love to see your room. Can you drop me home Danny, I didn’t bring my
car?” I asked Danny.
“Sure” he said and we left the Smoothie shack.

When we got in Danny’s car I asked him, “so why did we leave?”
“I thought I could show you my room properly now that you know my secret, you didn’t tell
anyone did you?” Danny said.
“No I didn’t, I’m not going to tell that my cousin and my boyfriend are Agents” I said.
“Good, and now that Drew’s not here we can do whatever we want” he said with a mischievous
smile.
“I like your plan” I said and kissed him quickly.

Chapter nine

When we reached his house we went straight to his room.

“So what do you want to see first?” Danny asked me.
“I actually wanted to get to know you, I mean your life as a secret agent.” I admitted.
“Well I’ve been an agent pretty much my entire life and so has Lisa” he said.
“What else?” I asked curiously.
“What about I tell you the different stages of our life as an agent?” he asked.
“Sure” I reassured him.
“Well, when you’re a kid like from 5 - 10 you go to normal school but you are also thought
about all the gadgets there is and how to use it. They tell you what to eat and what not to eat.
They also give you basic training like how to climb and stuff that makes you fit.
When you’re between the ages of 10 - 13, you are basically a spy. You still go to
school. You go to the place where the dealing take place and either stay there and record
what they are saying or you set up the cameras and microphones there quickly before the
dealings take place. The reason kids’ do it is because kids are usually taken for granted or
ignored. Some people call this stage the ‘scouts and guides’ stage because Lord Baden
Powell created the scouts and guides and during the war these kids would go near enemy
territory retrieve information and give it back to the local general.
When you’re between the ages of 14 - 19, you are a bodyguard or a transporter.
This means that you body guard someone, you keep them safe with you for sometime while
certain dealings take place. Like with Madison, her dad worked for this cancer research
company and while tests were taking place. So if she wasn’t kept safe the evil people would
kidnap her and use that against him can’t really tell you more about this stage.
When you’re from the ages of 20 - 35, you are a real agent, like the ones they show on
TV. You stop dealings, rescue people, terrorists and other cool stuff. Right now I’m in that
stage.”
“But you’re just 18, how are you in the ‘20 -35’ category?” I asked.
“They thought I was capable and protecting Madison was like a test” he told me.
“What about after your 35?”
“S.A.A. creates a fake résumé for you and provides a normal job for you” he simply said.
“Isn’t your job dangerous, with the terrorists and all?” I asked sad. I hate him being hurt.

“It isn’t that much for me, I’ve been training a lot and I still train when necessary. But the
other dangerous part is when Drew comes in.”
“Why does Drew come into any of this?” I asked confused.
“You do know he’s an agent too right?” he asked me like I was dumb.
“I know that, but why does he come into this. The only reason he’s here is because his parents
had a divorce and they needed a place to stay.” I said.
“Clearly he hasn’t told you much” he hesitated, “My family isn’t in danger because we’re
all agents and can kick butt, but the evil people would want to use something against us. They
have probably done their research and they know that we’re dating. You need to be
protected.”
“So you’re saying I’m in danger?” I asked shocked. Who knew being an agent’s girlfriend
was also dangerous?
“It’s just a precaution. Anyway that’s where Drew comes in. He is still in his
‘transporter’ stage. He needed a job and when he found out that you needed a body guard he
happily accepted it.” He said then his tone turned to worry, “Is it too much for you? Do you
want to break up with me because of this?”
“Are you stupid? I love you. My being in danger is something I am willing to sacrifice if
it means being with someone as awesome as you” I told him.
“Really, you’re so sweet, I love you.” Danny said.
We kissed but it was a short one but that didn’t mean I didn’t like it.
“Do you want to go home now, it’s almost late” Danny asked me.
“I don’t want to but why don’t you come to my house, my room. You’ve only been to my room
once” I said and winked.
“Why not, Drew’s hopefully still with Bella.” He said.

We got in his black convertible and went to my house. The ride was short as he
drove above speed limit. The police stopped us on the way but Daniel showed him his
license and the cop let us go without a ticket! Perks of being an agent as Danny would say.

We reached home and when directly to my room. He looked at my room like it was the
coliseum. He stared at my light green walls and ceilings. He stared closet and sighed. I realized
why he sighed and I giggled. He sighed at my Taylor Lautner’s shirtless picture (the one from

new moon). He said “why do you like him so much, he so weird and cocky”. I also had a Kris
Allen poster, he groaned at that picture too. He stared at the two beds -actually one bed ad one
foldable bed- and asked “where does Drew sleep?”
“He sleeps on the foldable one” I laughed.
“So it looks like he hasn’t done anything to your room” he stated.
“What does that mean?” I asked.
“Well, since he’s going to be living here he has to set up, and keep a place to hide all his
equipment” he informed me.
“He did say he needed to set up before I knew about you” I told him.
“Maybe he did, does your mom come to your room often?” he asked.
“Not really, just to wake me up if I’m still sleeping” I said.
“That’s good” he remarked.
He sat on my bed and ushered me to sit next to him. He said “your bed is very comfy”.
“Want to sleep in it? It’s more comfy that way” I asked him and smirked.
He lied in a sleeping position on my bed and I copied him. “This is nice” he said.
“Yeah it is, I love you” I told him sweetly.
He kissed me after I said that slowly and sweetly. Then he moved to kiss my jaw line
and my neck and gave me a hickey. I didn’t stop him. While he kissed me my hands were
grabbing his hair, his hands were traveling down my back and to my butt. His hand just
rested there. He whispered “I love you” and I continued kissing him.
Then I heard the door knob open but thinking it was the wind I continued kissing him.
“There’s someone in the room” I heard someone say. We pulled away and saw Drew standing
there with his arms crossed. Daniel and I looked at each other, half-smiled and got up and went
from sleeping on the bed to sitting on the bed.

Chapter ten

“Hey Drew, didn’t see you there.” Danny said awkwardly.

“I didn’t see you either” I said.
Drew just stood there, his face expressionless, his arms still crossed.
“Well I got to go, bye Jane” Danny said and leaned in to kiss me.
But his kiss was interrupted by Drew. He said “I think you’ll have kissed enough for one night”.
“But we just got started” I whispered mainly to myself.

Danny waved and left. I was still on my bed and Drew was still standing there. “Drew, you
want to sit down, you look like you’ve seen a ghost” I said.
“No way am I sitting in that bed” Drew said pointing at my bed.
“Sit in yours then. How was your date with Bella?” I asked.
“Tomorrow is the actual date” he reminded me.
“But we left you alone so you’ll both could talk” I said.
“That’s what you’ll left us alone for” he scoffed.
“Yes that’s why we left you alone and also because I wanted to know more about secret
agents now that I’m dating one and I have a cousin who is one” I informed changing the topic.
“Alright, what did you find out?” he asked.
“That the reason you’re really here is to be my bodyguard or watchdog” I said sarcastically.
“Watch it” he warned, “wouldn’t you rather have me than some stalker”.
“I guess you’re right” I admitted, “but you do know I can look out for myself”.
“Right” he said and rolled his eyes.
“So where are you taking Bella tomorrow?” I asked.
“The movies and then the coffee place she told me about” he said.
“Do you really like coffee?” I asked him suspiciously.
“Yeah I do” he said confused.
“Do you really have things in common with Bella or did you just research it up?” I asked.
“I didn’t research it, why do you doubt me?” he asked hurt.
“I just don’t want some jerk to date my best friend” I defended.
“You do realize that this Jerk is your cousin” He said hurt.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it like that. I don’t want some phony guy to date my best friend. I
guess you’re not phony, you’re my cousin and non-phoniness runs in the family.”

“I forgive you” He said and rolled his eyes.
Drew walked out of the room and I called Bella immediately.
“Hey Jane” she answered excitedly.
“Hey Bella, tell me what happed, I want to know everything. Don’t worry Drew’s not here and
you’re not on speaker phone” I hold her.
“Well we’re going to watch a movie tomorrow, he’s not telling me what movie, maybe he
hasn’t decided yet” she laughed, “and then we’ll go back to the café”.
“And what did you do today?” I asked her.
“We’ll Drew is such a gentleman. We got talking and then we went for a drive and we walked
down the beach. It was so romantic” she said.
“It sounds so romantic. Aren’t you glad we left?” I smirked.
“Yeah, I owe you’ll guy’s BIG time. So what did you’ll do anyway?” she asked curiously.
“I went to his house, his room and he showed me his stuff. We ate lunch at McDonalds
and then we went to my house, like we reached half an hour ago” I told her.
“What did you’ll do in your room, don’t skip on the details” she squealed.
“Well we intensely kissed. It was so hot” I grinned.
“OMG, how long did it last for?” she asked.
“The kissing, like around 10 minutes” I said approximately.
“Major OMG, have you’ll ever done that before” she asked.
“Before we only reached till five minutes. We could have gone longer today too” I grumbled.
“What happened? You didn’t have a mint with you?” she asked.
“No it’s not that, your stupid date showed up in my room, interrupting us” I said angry.
“Oh, that’s sad. Maybe next time I’ll keep him out for longer” she suggested.
“That would be great” I said.
Drew entered the room. “Hey Bella I got to go, Drew just came in. bye” I said. When I said
‘Bella’, Drew’s eyes lit up. Maybe he does really like her
“Jane wait” Bella said fast.
“Why?” I asked.
“What’s Drew wearing?” Bella asked. I knew she was grinning.
“What?” I asked shocked.
“What’s he wearing? And don’t skim on the juicy details” she grinned.
“Juicy?” I said with disgust.

“Just tell me” she said frantic.
“Fine, he’s wearing black shorts that are knee length and no shirt” I said and winked at Drew.
“You’re kidding, no shirt” Bella asked.
“No shirt, he always sleeps like that” I confirmed.
“Wish I was there” she said jealous.
“I got to go, bye” I said.
“Bye, and oh tell him I said hi” she said quickly.
“I’ll tell him, bye” I said and hung up.
Drew stared at me and asked “what did she say?”
“She says ‘hi’ and the rest is top secret girly stuff” I told him.
He sighed and then his face lit up like he remembered something he said “give me your
phone.”
“I already hung up you dumbass!” I pointed out.
“Give it” he said. I gave him my phone .He got a wire out of his bag. He connected my phone
to his laptop using that wire.
“What are you doing?” I asked him.
“I’m hearing your conversation” he simply said.
“Isn’t that illegal” I asked him.
“Not for us. If I couldn’t do this, I wouldn’t have known that my dad was cheating on mom.”
“Oh” I said.
Drew logged on to his computer and suddenly I heard my voice and whatever I said was written
on the screen.

“Hey Jane” Bella.

“Hey Bella, tell me what happed, I want to know everything. Don’t worry Drew’s not here
and you’re not on speaker phone” Jane
“Too bad I can here you’ll now” Drew grinned.
“I fell so bad. I broke my promise” I said sadly (which I faked).
“I’m not falling for that” Drew said. I rolled my eyes.
“Well we’re going to watch a movie tomorrow, he’s not telling me what movie, maybe he
hasn’t decided yet” she laughed, “and then we’ll go back to the café”. Bella
“It’s true, I haven’t decided yet” Drew said

“And what did you do today?” Jane
“We’ll Drew is such a gentleman. We got talking and then we went for a drive and we walked

“Yes he has, many times before. Now can we continue listening?” I said.
“Major OMG, have you’ll ever done that before” Bella
“Before we only reached till five minutes. We could have gone longer today too.” Jane
“What happened? You didn’t have a mint with you?” Bella
“No it’s not that, your stupid date showed up in my room, interrupting us”. Jane
“It’s a good thing too, you’ll would have done God knows what” Drew said. I again rolled my
eyes at his protectiveness.
“Oh, that’s sad. Maybe next time I’ll keep him out for longer”. Bella
“That would be great”. Jane
“Hey Bella I got to go, Drew just came in. bye.” Jane
“Jane wait” Bella.
“Why?” Jane
“What’s Drew wearing?” Bella
“What?” Jane

“Yes, I am. She really likes me?” Drew said almost satisfied.
“Yes she does. She has never had a boyfriend so you’re her first one so be nice” I warned
him.
“I know” he said.

Chapter eleven

Friday
Danny, Asia, Bella, Shane, Drew and I met at the Smoothie shack. Rory and Lisa
went to meet Jessica and Ebony. Jessica has a boyfriend, his name is Alex. And Ebony is
dating a guy who’s name is Gordon.
“Jane, do you remember Allen and Zoey?” Shane asked me.
“No, not really. Should I know them?” I asked him sipping my blueberry smoothie.
“Figures” Shane sighed, “Allen was my friend in Mt. Riverdale high school. He used to
hang out with me. Take the same classes as you”.
“Sorry, I don’t know him. Why?” I asked.
“He, his girlfriend and her brother are visiting their uncle here so they’re going to visit
me too. They wanted to meet you too. Their so jealous that we are friends” he said and then
turned to Asia, “they are also exited to meet you”. Then he kissed her on her lips for like a
second.
Drew said specifically to Daniel and I “see, that’s how you kiss in public”.
I ignored Drew and told Shane “sure I’d like to meet them and maybe give them an autograph”
I laughed, “call them at your 2 month anniversary party” I suggested.
“Already done that, you’ll guys are coming right?” Shane asked everyone.
“Definitely” everyone responded.
“Good” Asia said “so the theme of the party is Blue so try to wear something blue”
“I was thinking” I said, “Do you want to have a sleepover, just us girls?”
“Who is invited to this sleepover? Can it be coed?” Danny asked me with a devilish grin.
“No it’s not a co-ed sleepover. Just Bella, Asia and I. no boys allowed” I told them.
“Babe can I see you outside for a sec?” Danny asked me, his smile now faded, he had on a
plastic smile.
“Sure” I said. Why did he want to see me outside?
“I’ll come with you.” Drew said.
“Should I come too?” Bella asked innocently.
“No it won’t take long” Drew told Bella sweetly.
We went outside the shack and Danny asked me “why do you want to have a sleepover?”
“Because we haven’t had one in a long time” I told him.

“If Danny or I are not there it means that you are unprotected. It means we can’t leave you
alone.” Drew said.
“Over protective much?” I asked.
“At least let Lisa be there.” Danny suggested.
“No, I can take care of myself. It’s just one night” I said.
“Where would I sleep?” Drew asked.
“You can sleep with Emily, your mom” I told Drew.
“No” he responded.
“Fine, you can go to Danny’s house, set up cameras in my room so that you can keep an
eye on us or whatever you can come up with your ninja-ness” I suggested.
“Alright, I think mom would like to see Drew again” Danny said and kissed my forehead, “my
girlfriend is so smart”.

We went back into the shack and Bella asked me “why did they want to see you outside?”
“They were trying but failed to convince me to have a co-ed sleepover” I told her.
“Maybe if I were there I could have helped them convinced you” Shane winked.
“So do we do it tomorrow?” Asia asked.
“Sure” Bella said.
“Fine with me” I told them.
“So we better go to the mall now” Bella told.
“Your right” Asia agreed.
We got up and were half way from the door when Shane asked us “where are you going?”
“To the mall to buy pajamas” I told him.
“I thought you had enough pajama’s to wear to the mall” Shane said and laughed. Obviously
remembered that before the first time he seen me in the shack I was wearing my pajama shirt.
“We’ll come with you” Danny said.
“What?” Drew and Shane asked him.
“We can help them decide what to wear” he winked.
Shane later realized what Danny meant and grinned and said “sure”.

Chapter twelve

We went to the mall and went straight to the pajama section. Danny handed me this very
cute pajama and told us all to try it on and show them. After I wore it I actually realized
what it was. It was a blue spaghetti strap shirt that had a low V - neck shape and the pant part
was above my knees. I looked hot! I went outside and seen Danny’s mouth drop. He was
gawking and ogling and basically staring at me like I was God. It was so funny. Danny
pulled me closer to him and he whispered in my ear “I’m glad we’re setting up cameras in your
room. I can get to see you this sexy even when I’m not there.” He then kissed my ear and let
me go back and change into my normal clothes. Bella looked gorgeous and Drew
commented on that too. When Asia stepped out there was a make out session between Asia
and Shane.
Later it was evening so we bought the blue pajama and we went home. Danny came
home because he had to set up the cameras and to help Drew set up since Drew hadn’t done
anything. I got bored seeing all to the wires so I went downstairs to watch The Simpson’s
on TV.
Danny came downstairs and sat next to me on the couch. He asked “haven’t you
already seen this episode before?”
“Yeah but I’ve got nothing else to do” I shrugged looking at Bart Simpson doing something evil.
“You want to go to the beach and then to the fair?” he asked.
“Yes, I’d love to” I smiled.
We went to the beach and took a stroll down the beach. There was a guy selling
cotton candy so we bought it. I was getting tired from walking so we sat on the sand of the
beach. “What made you think of coming here all of a sudden?” I asked him staring at the
sun set.
“It was brought to my attention that we hadn’t done anything together for a while.” Danny
explained.
“What do you mean? We met like the day before and spent 10 minutes in heaven” I said.
“That’s not what I meant. When was the last time, just you and me?” He asked me and looked
into my eyes that were searching for answers.
“You’re right. We haven’t gone out for like ages. Good thing we’re out now. This was an
unexpected date but I like it” I smiled.

“I love you” he said and leaned in to kiss me. I obviously kissed him back.
It was getting late so he dropped me home. When I entered home I saw Drew, mom
and Emily sitting at the dining table waiting for me. “Hey” I told them.
“Hey” my mom said, “Drew told us you’re having a sleepover here tomorrow, is it true?”
“Yeah it is” I said. I washed my hands and sat at the table.
“Why didn’t you tell us?” Mom asked me.
“It was spontaneous. I’m sorry but I can’t cancel now.” I said.
“And where’s Drew going to sleep. We don’t have any extra rooms” she scolded.
“Oh don’t worry, Drew’s gonna sleep at Danny’s place. They used to be childhood friends
before” I told them.
“Whose house are you staying at?” Emily asked Drew.
“Mr. and Mrs. James.” Drew told Emily.
“Oh them, then it’s fine, you can sleep with them and I guess Jane can have her sleepover
too, right Emma?” Emily said.
“Why not?” Mom sighed.
I hugged her and said “thank you”.

Chapter thirteen

Saturday

It was the day of the sleepover. Drew was still at home waiting to see Bella and then he
would go. Bella and Asia came together later on. Asia and I got changed in the pajama’s we
bought earlier while Bella and Drew were downstairs watching T.V together. Asia and I crept
down to see what Bella and Drew were doing. Bella and Drew were watching ‘A walk to
remember’, they were holding hands, and it was so cute. After Asia and I went downstairs
and got Bella to change, Drew took his hummer and left for Drew’s house. Before he
could go he whispered to me “remember, I’m watching you”.
No matter what happens I’m going to have a good time tonight. Even though Daniel is
probably watching me, I’m still going to have a good time. After Bella changed we sat by my
HD-flat in my room and we watched ‘Cheaper by the dozen 2’ first. There was a very obvious
reason why we were watching the movie, Taylor Lautner. Whenever Taylor Lautner came
on scream we started screaming. I screamed louder knowing that Danny would be watching
this. We then saw ‘Confessions of a shopaholic’. Isla Fisher was such a funny actress. After we
finished watching the movie we decided to play truth or dare.
“Bella what do you choose?” I asked Bella.
“Dare,” she replied almost instantly.
“Well” Asia thought for a minute then her smile widened. Her smile was so wide that if this
was a cartoon the smile would come off her face. “Bella, you remember that one time many
months ago, Shane had given Jane a hickey”
“Yes,” she said unsure.
“And Jane here put the blame on you” Asia still grinning.
“Yes” Bella still unsure.
“I dare you, Bella to give Jane an actual hickey for real” Asia said.
“Can’t you give me something else, Daniel’s not going to stop nagging about this one” Bella
said, a bit scared. I wonder what Danny was thinking of right now.
“Nope” Asia still smiling.
Bella sighed. She then sat closer to me and bent down so that her lips were on my
neck and started to give me a hickey. I bit my lip so that I couldn’t scream because it

definitely hurt. After she was done she pulled away and sat far away from me. Asia busted
out laughing.
“Okay you’re turn” Bella quickly told me.
“Truth” I said.
“Okay umm do you think Drew’s hot” Asia asked me.
“He’s my cousin” I said. I knew he was watching me right now waiting for my reaction.
Danny was probably laughing.
“So, you could even think a hobo is cute, now spill” Bella said.
“Fine, yes” I said and looked down. Tomorrow was going to be brutal.
“Oh My goodness” Bella said her smile also wide, “wait till Danny hears about this”.
“He already has” I mumbled.

‘Seconds, hours, so many days

You know what you want but how long can you wait’
Bella’s phone rang.
“Hello” she answered.
“Hey Drew”. A pause. “Sure, I’ll save this as you’re number”, “Yeah, I’m having fun, you
want to talk to Jane, and I think she wants to confess something”. She gives me the phone and
smiles and tells me “Revenge taken”.
“Hey” I said.
“Hey Jane, you know I think I should start sleeping with my shirt back on” Drew said.
“You don’t have to do that” I told him.
“I think Danny would prefer it, he’s getting jealous that you think I’m hot” Drew laughed.
I didn’t want to hear his crap now so I said “bye” without hearing his response and quickly shut
the phone and gave the phone to Bella.
“Asia, truth or dare?” Bella asked Asia.
“Dare” Asia said.
“Okay, I dare you to drink a raw egg” Bella said with a smug smile.
“But I hate eggs” Asia said kinda angry.
“You still have to do it” Bella said.
“A dare is a dare” I chimed in.
“Alright bring it” she said defeated.

 I went down stairs to the kitchen fridge and took out an egg I also got a glass and a
straw. I went upstairs and saw Asia waiting. She seen what I was holding and her face
became pale. I broke the egg in the glass and mixed it with the straw I handed the glass to
Asia and said “Drink up!” She drank the glass and smiled. Bella and I clapped our hands.
Asia stood up and headed for the bathroom and said “I’m going to brush my teeth; I
don’t want the taste of egg in my mouth”.
After she came back she turned to Bella and asked “Truth or Dare”. “Truth” Bella replied.
“Alright, What do you think of Drew?” I asked on purpose, I think Drew would like to know
that too.
“He’s an awesome person. I can’t believe he asked me out so quickly. I’m glad he asked me
out quick because I was running out of ways to flirt with him. He’s so sweet and romantic and
whenever he speaks to me the hair on my back stand up and sometimes my heart skips a beat
and yeah”
“Wow” Asia and I said in a chorus.
“Jane, your turn, truth or dare?” Bella asked.
“Dare” I reply.
“I dare you to call Daniel, put him on speaker of course and tell him whatever we tell you in a
seductive voice” Bella said.
“You want me to what?” I asked. Danny was probably listening and getting ready.
“That’s genius Bella, it’s night so he’s asleep and he’s probably in bed right now so it just
might work” Asia said.
“Fine” I said. I grabbed my phone and called Danny. He lifted up after the third ring and said in
a sleepy voice “hello”
“Hey there” I said in my sexy voice.
“Hey babe, you know what time it is” he asked a bit annoyed.
“It’s late, but I was bored” I said.
“Why’d you call me?”
“Because I needed someone sexy to talk to” I told him, my voice still seductive.
“Oh do you now?” the sleepiness from his voice gone and he had the same amount of
seductiveness in his voice.
Bella took out a piece of paper from my desk and wrote ‘so what are you wearing?’ I gave her
the WTF look but she mouthed ‘you have to’.

“So... What are you wearing?” I asked
“I’m wearing dark blue shorts” he said his voice so sexy.
“What about your shirt?” I asked confused.
“No shirt, just the way you like it” he grinned.
“I wish I was there in that bed with you right now, right this moment” I said trying to sound
turned on. I’m pretty sure I failed.
“I wish you were here too, so what are you wearing?” he asked, I loved his voice.
“Ummmm” I said. I was trying to think of something clever. Asia wrote ‘a bra’.
“Tell me, you don’t want to keep me waiting. Do I have to come there myself” he suggested.
“No you don’t” I said too quickly, I didn’t even say it in a sexy voice. I bet Drew’s helping him
somehow or one of his agent friends or someone.
“I’m wearing a bra” I told him trying to say it with my sexy voice.
“Hot, you know what, you just described yourself to me so sexy I’m gonna come there right
now, bye” he said and hung up. Bella and Asia had a panicked expression on their faces. I
quickly called him still on speakerphone and said “hey babe, Bella and Asia just woke up so I
don’t think so you should come now.”
“Alright then sexy, bye” he said and hung up the phone. Bella, Asia and I let out a huge
PHEW.
“I think we should sleep now” I suggested. They nodded, brushed their teeth and went to
sleep.

Sunday
It was morning and all of us woke up at around 10 am. We had pancakes for
breakfast. We watched an episode of ‘Drake & Josh’. It was around 12 pm and Bella and
Asia got in Bella’s Volvo and went home.

Chapter fourteen

Drew came by later that day. I was on the couch watching TV. He came and sat next
to me. He smiled at me and said “so you think I’m cute?”
“Yes I do, you’re as adorable as a puppy” I said and stuck my tongue out.
“You know that’s not what I meant” he said, his voice half serious and half amused.
“What do you mean?” I asked pretending like I didn’t understand anything.
“You find me hot” he said then a flash of fear passed his eyes, “is it after the changer, when I got
changed into that Taylor Lautner kid”
“No it isn’t” I told him.
“All your screaming last night gave me a migraine”. Drew said.
“We had a nice time last night” I said and then remembered something and asked him, “Do you
have some of those gadgets with you at home?”
“Yeah I have some why?” he asked.
“Can you show them to me” I asked him even though I didn’t think he would agree.
“Sure, its all upstairs in my bag, come with me” Drew said.
I followed him upstairs and he opened his bag and took out a baseball. He then bounced
the ball twice then threw in the air towards the ceiling. I almost screamed when the ball
reached the chandelier but it didn’t break it instead a large hook came out and a rope fell
down. It was probably one of those climbing thingies.
“Awesome” I said.

Then suddenly there Doorbell rang. I went downstairs and saw it was Danny. I
opened the door and he kissed my forehead and came in. “where’s Drew?” he asked me.
“What no hi to your girlfriend” I demanded.
“Sorry babe, it’s just that something urgent has come up and I have to see him” he said.
“Alright, follow me” I sighed.

We went upstairs and Drew smiled at Danny. Danny then told him “connect online
now, central wants to talk to us in 5 minutes”. Drew nodded and quickly got his laptop -
with a webcam- and I’m guessing connected online.

“You’re gonna have to sit downstairs or in the corner, we’re gonna have a meeting” Danny told
me.
“I’ll stay here and listen to my ipod quietly” I said.
“Thanks babe, you’re the best” he said and kissed me.
I went to my drawer, took out my ipod and listened to it while lying down on my bed.
After a while - like after listening to 3 songs - my battery died. So I pretended to listen to
music when I was actually listening to them. I heard a man with a deep voice say “you have to
go day after tomorrow; tickets are being prepared as we speak. Drew, you have to be
prepared, I don’t have much information on Janice’s safety at the moment”. My safety? Then I
heard Drew and Daniel say bye.
A minute later Danny hovered above my bed and gave me one of his heart melting
smirks. I scooted over and let him sleep in my bed. He crawled into the bed. “I’m leaving in few
days” he told me.
“Where and why?” I asked him.
“Sierra Leone, a terrorist group - Catastrophic Detonate- is testing a nuclear bomb and I have
to basically stop the bomb from exploding.” He told me like it was a piece of cake.
“All by yourself?” I asked concerned.
“No, Adam from New York and Russell from Melbourne will be joining me. Don’t worry
about me, I’ll be fine. If I wasn’t capable of doing this then the S.A.A. wouldn’t get me to do
the job.” Danny said and kissed my cheek.
“I guess you’re right” I sighed and kissed him.
We kissed and kissed like there’s no tomorrow. He kissed my jaw line and my neck and
left me with a hickey. I returned it by kissing his jaw line and I was about to kiss him I heard a
beeping noise. I opened my eyes and seen Danny getting off the bed. I gave him a questioning
look and he told me “get up fast and look out the window”. I did as he said and then a minute
later mom knocked on the door I yelled “come in”. She came in to give me a bag of clothes she
bought me. She then left.
Danny then took out his phone and then beep, the he said “message”, another beep, he
said “Drew Baker”, another beep and then he said “thanks” and pressed a button.
“What did you just do?” I asked him.
“Sent a message to Drew, he warned us about your mom” he smiled and kissed me for like a
second and then said, “come with me, I have something for you”.
I followed him and we reached his car and he pulled out a bag from ‘H&M’.

“What’s this” I asked him.
“It’s the dress you’ll wear tomorrow for the party, do you like it?” he said.

I took out the dress from the bag. It was a coral blue dress that was a spaghetti strap
dress and I came with a clutch too. It was so pretty. I hugged him and said “thank you”.

Chapter fifteen

Monday - 17th

It was the day of the party. Danny went early because he had another meeting and he
would meet us there. I went with Bella and Drew. I sat in the back seat while Drew picked
Bella up and sat in the front. I sat in the back seat quietly and listened to my ipod quietly
giving them privacy. When we reached I switched off my ipod and I heard Bella telling Drew
“this is so exiting, our first party as a couple”.
“Yeah” Drew replied. He then turned to me and said “we reached Jane lets go”.

I entered the huge and nicely decorated halls with Drew and Bella behind me. I saw
Danny and ran towards him and hugged him. “Hey Jane baby” Danny said.
“Hey babe” I said.
Danny saw Bella and Drew walking forward and when they came Danny told Bella “hey Bella,
I see Jane has a new scar, you couldn’t keep your mouth off her?”
Drew growled. He growled?
“Sorry but it was just so tempting” Danny told Drew.
“Shut up Daniel, if you weren’t dating my best friend I’d get Drew to kick your ass” Bella said
angry.
Bella walked away from us. We went to search for Asia or Shane. When we saw Asia
we went towards her and wished her. “Sorry you couldn’t celebrate your one month
anniversary” Danny told her.
Asia replied “we actually did, just on someone dime”
We all laughed. We got some drinks which of course had alcohol in it. We went to the
dance floor and well … danced. Shane came walking towards us and behind him was a guy and
a girl, I’m guessing Zoey and Allen. Zoey was a blond with black eyes. And next to her was a
shy guy who with brown eyes and bushy brown. I remembered Zoey; she was the girl
Tiffany used to bully. “Hey Jane this is Allen Brookes” he said and pointed at the guy, “and this
is his girlfriend Zoey Chambers”.
I said “Hey” and pretended not to have recognized them.
“Hey Janice, it’s nice to meet you in person” Allen said nervously.
“Hey Allen” I said and pointed to Danny and said “this is my boyfriend Daniel James.

We’ve been dating for months”.
“Hey Janice, at first I didn’t believe you were actually friends with dorky Shane but then I seen
his transformation and then believed. Something’s never change I guess” Zoey said. I smiled at
her even though I didn’t get what she was saying.
“Jane come, let’s get some more drinks” Danny said and pulled us away.
Daniel gave me a glass, which was probably my 3rd glass. “Why’d you pull us away from
them?” I asked him.
“I think Zoey doesn’t like you” Danny said while sipping his drink.
“What are you talking about?” I asked him.
“Just wanted to break up a cat fight that’s all” he said and sipped his drink.
“Whatever,” I said and took another glass from the cute bartender. He had short blonde hair,
cute blue eyes and an amazing smile. Maybe it was the drinks talking but after I got my 4th glass
I told him “thanks gorgeous”. He winked back. I turned to Danny and he was just staring. His
expression was kinda angry but then I kissed him and he smiled back. I didn’t even know that I
had that kind of effect on him.
We went to the dance floor and our song came, it’s more of our song if we’re in a
club together then we have to dance. The song was ‘Boom Boom Pow’ by the ‘Black Eyed
Peas’. We immediately began to grind -hello I was drunk I have an excuse if I’m grinding
into him, but I kept my limits. Then the music slowed down and ‘Flightless Bird, American
Mouth’ by ‘Iron & Wire’. I put my hands around his neck and he put his hand around my
hip and we danced. I laid my head on his chest halfway through the song. I whispered “I
Love You”. He kissed my head and said “I loved you too sweetheart”. After the song I
lifted my head and turned to the right and saw Drew and Bella kissing. Their first kiss. It
was so cute.
After a while Zoey walks over to us and asks me “Janice I need your help, Daniel
could you excuse us for a minute?” Daniel nodded and I followed her. We reached the bar
and that cute bartender handed me a drink, I happily drank it. I think by now I must have
been drunk but I still had my senses. “Janice I need you to help me out with something”
Zoey said.
“What is it?” I asked drunk.
“I have a date with Allen tomorrow and I need you to help me pick out a perfect outfit to
wear in this town” she asked.
“Sure, when should I meet ya?” I asked, now I was officially drunk. I gulped down my drink

“meet me at my hotel at 3pm tomorrow” she said and took a napkin and a pen from the
cute bartender and wrote something, she then took the clutch from my hand and put the napkin
in it and said “you’re kinda drunk so I wrote all the information in the napkin and it’s in your
clutch, I’ll take you to someone” she said a bit concerned.
We walked on the dance floor and I seen Drew, I went and hugged him. I
introduced him to Zoey “zo zo, this is my cousin Drew who lives with me and Drew this is zo zo
Zoey has no boobies” I had used the name that Tiffany used to tease her with, Zoey’s eyes
flashed anger for a second and then she turned to Drew and said “she’s drunk but she said that
she would come to my hotel tomorrow at 3pm to help me out with girl stuff. I wrote my
address on a napkin and it’s in her clutch”
Drew said “I’ll remind her tomorrow”. Zoey left. Drew told Bella to get Danny.
Drew asked me “are you drunk?”
“I’m not Drunk, I’m wasted!” I replied my voice all slurry.
Drew rolled his eyes and a minute later Danny was by my side. “Hey Babe” he said and kissed
me.
“Hey baby, you look so sexy, even sexier than Lautner” I said. Now I was a 100% drunk.
“How many drinks did you have?” Danny asked concerned.
“Plenty” I laughed. “I love you so much, I’ll show you” I showed him the distance with my
arms.
He kissed me and said “you don’t’ smell so good when you’re drunk”.
I frowned. He kissed me and then said “let’s get to the car”
“Will there be bunnies?” I asked him.
“Yes now follow me” he took my hand and we started walking out.
I asked him “can I have a green bunny, please please please” I begged like a little child.
“You can have 2 green bunnies if you want. Even a red one if you like” he said and kissed my
forehead. I went inside the car and he strapped me in. he leaned in and kissed me again. Then I
blacked out.

Chapter sixteen

I got up probably the next day with a major hangover. My head hurt like hell. I felt
like vomiting so I ran to the washroom. When I came back I seen Drew was not in his bed. I
checked the time; it was 6 in the morning. Where does a person go at this time? I went and
lied down in his bed waiting for him to come but I fell asleep instead.
I woke up again and I saw Drew on his laptop. He was on facebook, boy is that site
addicting. “Hey you’re up” Drew told me. I smiled. He asked “what are you doing in my
bed?”
“I was waiting for you and I fell asleep” I explained.
“Well go brush your teeth, it’s nearing 12 pm and we have to eat lunch too” he said. I nodded
and went to the washroom, brushed my teeth and came back. I asked him “where did you go so
early in the morning?”
“Morning jog. By the way, Daniel has left already, his flight left an hour ago. You also have to
meet Zoey at 3 pm.”
“I remember, kinda” I said trying to recall where to go.
“I’ll drop you there, she gave me her address. Why are you helping her shop anyway? It
doesn’t look like you know her” he asked.
“She was from my old school. I’m the only girl she knows here” I shrugged.
“Alright I’m allowing you but on specific conditions” Drew said pretending to be my dad.
“Yes dad what is it? although I don’t think I need your permission” I told him.
“You will only go if I drive you there and back. I will also put trackers in your clothes
since I won’t be able to come with you. Compris” he said in one breath.
“Fine but why the tracker?” I asked confused.
“If anything happens to you, I’ll personally be responsible. I will either get fired or get killed.
Do you want that to happen to me?” he asked a bit scared.
“No, I guess not. I’m sorry I asked. I’ll wear the damn tracker thingies even though I’ll look
like a freak” I sighed.
“Actually trackers are just are like 2 cm” he said amused. 2:50 pm
I got dressed in black jeans, and a black t-shirt which I got from ‘Marks & Spencer’s’. I
also wore a purple belt. I walked over to Drew and he smiled and said “you look pretty, now
I’m going to put the trackers on you now.” He got out a small back thing with a red light

flickering on it and he put it on my belt. He put one on my shirt and one on my jeans. When I
was all ready I went into his car and went to the hotel.
Zoey was staying at the ‘Hyatt Regency’. I went to the reception and asked for a ‘Paul
Chambers’. That led me to room 504. Paul was Zoey’s brother and they booked the room
under his name. I knocked the door and Zoey opened. She smiled when she seen me. I said
“hey, I’m here”.
“Come in” she looks me from top to down and says “can you stand in front of the
mirror”. I went and stood in front of the mirror and then she said. “I’m so sorry to say this but
your clothes are so last season. You know what, you can wear something I have”. She went to
her suitcase and got a beautiful dress out for me to wear. I took it, it was kinda similar to
the one Danny got me only in black.
I got dressed in it and I say Zoey waiting on her bed. “You look pretty. My brother will
be driving us to this boutique where we will be shopping” she then turned to the other room and
screamed “Paul, get your butt here we’re going now”. Then Paul came out of the room. He was
the bartender last night. I smiled at him.
We went out and sat in Paul’s Cadillac. We buckled our seat belts and we went on the
road. When I looked out the window I saw that this was the road that was heading
towards the airport. I asked Paul “where are we going?”
“To the airport, there are some shops there” Paul replied and winked. That made me blush.
After a while we reached the airport and seen that there was a jet waiting for us.
Zoey got into the jet and told me to follow her, I did. She told me to fasten my seat belt, I did.

“You what?” I asked shocked.
“We kidnapped you, took you away from your home. Use you to get what we want” she
explained, bored.
“Why?” I asked.
“Because your boyfriend Daniel Taylor James is doing something bad to our company
today or tomorrow and we don’t want him to do that so if we had you then he wouldn’t do
it” she sighed.
“You want to test out nuclear bombs” I asked disbelieved.
“I don’t like the nuclear bomb part that ‘Catastrophic Detonate’ is doing but if it means
getting my revenge on you then I will do this” she smiled.
“What revenge?” I asked confused.
“Remember at Mt. Riverdale high when you and your ‘BFF’ Tiffany used to tease me and when
my whole world came crashing down. You ruined school for me and you will pay” she said
with venom in her voice.
“And for ruining my sister’s life, I got you drunk last night” Paul said. He was the one who
must have put a lot of alcohol in my drink!
“But if you would have forgotten I have a cousin and a boyfriend who are agents don’t you
think they will find me?” I asked them.
“We want them to find you. And just so you don’t try to escape the seat you’re sitting on
can’t be unlocked by you. And also we are forced by our the company we work for - Teen
Spy Association- to leave a couple of scars on you so that Danny knows that ‘Catastrophic
Detonate’ mean business” Zoey said.
The flight was quiet. I am such an idiot because of me not only will the entire
people of Sierra Leone be effected but also Drew who will lose his job. I told Zoey “I’m
bored, can we do something fun”.
“No” Zoey spat at me.
“Alright then why don’t you tell me exactly what the hell is going on here” I asked.
“Fine, I work for the ‘Teen Spy Agency’. I’ve been with them since I was eight, the

same goes for Paul. The ‘Teen Spy Agency’ sent us to help a terrorist group that is called
‘Catastrophic Detonate’. The group simply wants to test out a nuclear bomb in a small
country in Africa, Sierra Leone. But the damn S.A.A, where your boyfriend works wants to
stop this test from happening. Paul and I volunteered because we had relations with you. I
used Allen to get to Shane so that I could get to you. And my plan worked well”.
That was a lot to take in. “where’s Allen?” I asked.
“He left yesterday after the party, something about him getting food poisoning” she said with the
same evil smile.
“You poisoned him?” I asked baffled.
“I didn’t but Paul did” she still said smiling.
“Why did you do that Paul?” I yelled at him.
“We didn’t need him anymore. Why are you yelling at me? Just yesterday we were flirting”
Paul said with a smug smile and winked.
I shuddered. When we reached after our landing Zoey and Paul unbuckled their
seats. When I tried to unbuckle my seat the buckle just zapped my finger. Zoey laughed. She
came over and went behind me then suddenly my head got a thud from behind and
everything went black.

Chapter eighteen

When I opened my eyes my head still hurt. I instinctively went to cover my head but I
couldn’t. My hands were caught in something. My hands were handcuffed to the side of the
bed. I screamed at the pain in my head. But I just heard laughter; I think it was Paul’s. I
turned to face him and I was right, Zoey was nowhere in the room as far as I can see. “Paul why
am I tied up? Let me go” I asked him and struggled.
“I’ll think about it once you tell me what you know about Daniel’s whereabouts in this country
and his plans to stop us” Paul said.
“I don’t know anything. I just found out that Danny is an agent. Now let me go” I yelled and
tried shaking around but the iron from the cuffs was cutting my wrists.
“Yeah right” he said sarcastically and then he turned his tone to serious, “should I start the
electricity on you to get you to talk”.
“I’m telling you the truth, believe me” I said, “get one of those lie detectors”
“Alright, I’ll get Jesse and Taylor to set it up” Paul said. He then called Jesse on his phone and
five minutes later Jesse McCartney and Taylor Swift walked in the room carrying a
machine that’s like the size of your printer. I screamed in my mind like a crazy fan girl
because I was in the same room with Jesse McCartney. He walked over to me and sat on the
chair that was opposite me while Taylor was preparing the machine on the other side.
“Hey, you’re Janice right?” Jesse asked. I nodded. He then told me “I’m gonna attach some
wires to you for the test alright”. I nodded again. “How old are you?” he asked.
“I’m 17 and I know you are 22. I didn’t know you were a spy” I told him.
“Well if people knew then my cover would have been blown” he smiled.
“That’s what Danny said” I told him.
“Are you ready?” he asked softly.
“Yeah, why not” I sighed.
Jesse & Taylor went out of the room and Zoey and Paul now entered the room.
“Alright we’ll ask you questions and you have to answer in yes or no. if you lie you will
either be electrocuted or be punched in the stomach by me” Zoey said. Zoey sat on the bed I
was on and Paul sat on the chair where Jesse was sitting previously. Paul asked “Is your name
Janice Zodiac?”
“Yes” I replied. What a stupid question, didn’t they already know that?

“Are you currently dating Daniel Taylor James?” she asked.
“Yes” I said. Didn’t they know that too I mean they were there at the party?
“Are you in love with him?” she asked.
“Yes” I replied automatically.
“Did he tell you when you’ll first start dating that he was an agent?” she asked.
“No” I said. I heard Zoey tell Paul ‘she’s telling the truth see the monitor’.
“Alright, do you know what Daniel came to do here?” she asked.
“No” I lied. Then someone punched my guts and I screamed then Zoey said “the truth this
time”. I nodded and said “yes I know what he’s here to do. He’s here to stop the bomb from
exploding”
“Is he here alone?” Paul asked.
“No he’s not” I replied.
“Do you know who he is with?” Paul asked.
I searched my memory but couldn’t remember and I didn’t want to give them too much
information so I said “no”. I heard a beeping noise and I knew they found out I was lying and
gave another huge blow in my stomach, I screamed aloud and Zoey said “tell us the truth, do
you like pain?”
“I don’t like pain. I don’t remember their names” I said quickly.
“Alright” they said and left the room
After what seemed like ages with the pain in my stomach Jesse and Taylor Swift
returned to take the machine back. Jesse told me “we could hear your screams from the
other room”. Taylor continued “it disturbed our practices”.
“What practices?” I asked.
“Singing, you know we are singers” Taylor said.
“Sorry” I said and winced at the pain.
Jesse sat on the bed and bent in closer so that his head was above mine and the
distance was just few centimeters between our faces. “You shouldn’t have lied to them,
Zoey’s very strong. I hope you feel better” he said and kissed my forehead. With that they
took out the wire’s that were connected on my wrists and torso and left.
Paul returned later with my phone and sat on the chair and said “we’re going to call
your boyfriend and tell him that we have kidnapped you. So you don’t talk till I tell you
to.” I nodded. He used my phone and called Danny. He put the phone on speaker.

At the 3rd ring he lifted up the phone and said, his voice worried “hey babe are you alright?
Drew said that he couldn’t find you and the trackers suddenly got destroyed”, while talking he
must have realized that I didn’t say anything he said, “Jane, you there?”
Paul said “this is not Jane, this is her kidnapper. Yes I have taken her away from you.”
“Why did you do that?” he yelled.
“I could tell you the long story but so that you understand I’ll tell you in one sentence, I
work for ‘Catastrophic Detonate’” Paul said simply.
I heard Danny gasp and said “what do you want from her, she knows nothing. I didn’t tell
her anything”.
“We know that now, after we found out the hard way” Paul said and winked at me and I
winced.
“What do you mean ‘the hard way’?” Danny asked suspiciously.
“I mean that we thought she knew a lot so we beat her till we got the answers. But turns out
she didn’t” Paul said “do you want to talk to her?”
“Yes please” Danny said, I think he was tearing up.
Paul ushered me to speak. My basic plan was to talk as if nothing happened. And as
if they haven’t even touched me so that he didn’t have to worry about me and he could
destroy the bomb. “Hey babe” I said and turned to see Paul’s expression and it was stunned.
“Hey, are you alright, are they hurting you?” he asked concerned.
“No of course not, why would you think that? They gave me pizza and lots of other nice stuff” I
lied smoothly. I didn’t think I could pull it off.
“Really?” he asked disbelieved.
“Yeah totally, how are you?” I asked him.
“Worried at first but now I’m fine to hear that you’re alright” he said. I was glad
that he wasn’t worried of me. Just then Zoey entered the room and thumped the back of my
head and I screamed for like a second because it hurt. I stopped immediately and bit my lip
because of the pain because Danny was hearing this and I didn’t want him to hear it. I was too
late; he heard it and said “Jane what happened. What are you‘ll doing to her?”
“If you don’t give us information and if you stop the bomb then we will kill her. So
here’s what you need to do. We are giving you two hours. You have to create a hotmail
account. Then after two hours go online and accept my request and we’ll web chat and give you
all the details. Understood?” Zoey said.

“Yeah, please don’t hurt her” Daniel begged.
“We’ll think about it” Paul said and hung up. He then looked at me and asked me “why did
you lie to him that we weren’t hurting you?”
“I didn’t want him to worry about me.” I said.
Taylor Swift entered and she had a small black box in her hands. Paul said “hey darling, I’ll
let you take over from here” and kissed her. I did not know Taylor Swift was dating. What
about Joe Jonas?
Taylor walked over to me and sat on the bed. She opened the black box and took out an injection.
An injection? “What are you doing?” I demanded.
She ignored me and took out the cap off the injection and injected it in my arm. I tried to
scream but no voice was coming out of my mouth. My vision was becoming hazy; I heard Taylor
say “sweet dreams”. Then I blacked out.

Chapter nineteen

I woke up and found myself sitting on a chair. My hands and legs were still tied. I
looked around me and I was sitting in a different room. The walls looked scarier and I seen
Zoey and Paul on the computer setting up on MSN Messenger. “Let me go” I screamed.
They ignored my scream. After a few minutes they finished setting up and Zoey walked
over and said “we are gonna chat with Daniel now so don’t pretend like nothing happened”.

“I’ll think about it” I said. She punched my stomach so bad that I screamed and as soon as I
seen Danny on the screen I bit my lower lip to stop screaming but that just made tears come
out of my eyes.
“Hello Daniel” Zoey sat on the chair facing the computer and said.
“Zoey?” Daniel asked.
“Yes Daniel its Zoey. I’m the one who kidnapped your precious girlfriend” Zoey sighed.
“But why?” Danny asked disbelieved.
“My brother already spoke to you about this on the phone. We work for the ‘Teen Spy
Agency’. We’re helping ‘Catastrophic Detonate’” Zoey explained like she was bored. Then her
voice turned to serious “If you do anything that will deactivate the bomb, your girlfriend here
gets it”.
“Danny don’t worry about me, I’ll be fine. You do what you have to do.” I said.
“How can I not worry about you babe. What do I need to do Zoey?” Danny said.
“You need to tell us what you are going to use for deactivating the bomb and who is helping
you” Zoey said.
“Don’t tell her anything Danny” I said.
Zoey turned around and walked towards me and slapped me and said “don’t speak, until
you’re told to”. She went back to her seat and said “we have beaten her up and drugged
her since she has got here we can do more now tell me who is with you.”
“Adam and Russell are helping me out. We have been told to drop a certain
chemical inside the bomb that will make the effect of the bomb neutral” Daniel said.
“That’s it?” Zoey asked.
“Yeah that’s it. Now please let Jane go” Danny said, his voice sad.
“You need to come here and give me the chemical only then will we let her go” Zoey said

“Alright where do we meet?” Danny asked defeated.
“We should meet today at ‘Freetown’ at the ‘King’s Gate’ a stone monument with an
inscription, which reads ‘any slave who passes through this gate is declared a free man’”
“Alright I’m coming and please don’t hurt her” Danny said.
“If she doesn’t annoy us then we’ll try our best not to” Zoey said.
They switched off the computer. Then Jesse walks in the room with a plate of pizza and
a small black box. I recognized that box. Taylor had the same one. It was the injection that
made me drowsy. He walked over to me and gave me the pizza, I silently ate it. He then
said breaking the silence between us “I’m sure you know what this box is by now right?” I
nodded and then asked “where are they taking me?”
“To King’s Gate. Don’t worry this won’t hurt” he said and injected the liquid into me.
Then I felt him kiss my forehead and then Black.

Chapter twenty

When I woke up I noticed that my legs for the first time were not tied to something.
One of my hands however was handcuffed to the door handle. I saw Zoey in front of me
and I’m guessing Paul was driving because Jesse and Taylor couldn’t be seen in this part of
the world. When Zoey saw that I was awake she said - probably to Paul - “the bitch is
awake”.
“Can you please stop calling me that” I asked.
“Why not, I’m just calling you by the name you deserve” Zoey said.
“Because if you remember straight, Tiffany was the one who used to bully you, I was just her
lame-ass sidekick” I defended.
“You could have stopped her” she said.
“You know no one could” I told her.
“Yeah but you are her best friend she should have listened to you” she yelled.
“We were best friends -past. I realized that I didn’t want to be a bully’s friend so a couple of
days before leaving school I told her that I couldn’t be her friend anymore”
“Oh”.
“If it helps I’m not popular anymore so can please stop with the nicknames?” I asked.
“I still hate you” she said and looked out of the window.
“Can I ask you one more question?” I asked her.
“Fine” she sighed then her voice turned serious “but this is the last question, if you ask me one
more question after this one I’ll punch you so hard that you will find it difficult to stop
screaming from the pain”.
I winced. My stomach already still hurt. Now that one of my hand were free I
instinctively covered my stomach with one hand and said “please don’t I already hurt
enough. My question is if you are so strong - firsthand experience - then why didn’t you beat
up Tiffany?”
“Wow you really haven’t spoken to Tiffany. A couple of days after you left she started
bullying me again and this time when there were no witnesses I punched her.”
“Got what she deserves” I muttered.
“You got you deserved too” she said. I sighed.

 After a while the van stopped. I looked out the window and saw Danny sitting on the
bench outside. I saw Paul getting up and walking towards Danny. All of a sudden there was a
knock on the door. Through the back window it looked like an African man was outside.
“What van is this?” I asked her.
“A paint company” she said. She went and opened the door and the man said “I
would like a bottle of paint”. He they took out a spray - I think it was pepper spray - and
sprayed it on her eyes. She screamed and then she sat on the seat rubbing her eyes. Then he
took out a spray paint can and sprayed it all over her. I think it was something sticky
because she couldn’t move at all. She was struggling but it was like she was stuck. “The
S.A.A. has better gadgets” the African man said he then turned to me and said “hold still”.
Then from a laser in his watch the handcuffs from my wrists got cut and he said “Jane lets go”.
Jane? Didn’t most people call me Janice unless I tell them to call me Jane?
I got out of the van as ‘Anadi’- as I called him as I didn’t know his name -
instructed me to. He grabbed my hand and we ran into his BMW. When we sat in he
instructed me to put my seat belt on which I did. ‘Anadi’ had an American accent which was
funny. He said “Jane are you alright, I’m so sorry”.
“Who are you?” I asked. I wanted to know his real name, I dint want to call him ‘Anadi’ all
the time.
“It’s me Drew, your cousin. The asshole who got you in this shit” he said, his voice sad.
“You’re not an asshole; you didn’t know she was evil. Even I didn’t think she was evil. Stop
blaming yourself. Nice to know you’re not Anadi.” I said.
“Who’s Anadi?” he asked confused.
“I didn’t know who you were so I named you.” I said, “What Happened to Zoey?”
“A couple of people from the S.A.A probably took care of her” he said.
“What about Danny, is he okay? This is all my fault. If I didn’t go with them then Danny
wouldn’t have to surrender.” I said ashamed of myself.
“Actually, Danny’s fine. He and two other guys went to neutralize the bomb while other S.A.A
agents are keeping Zoey and those other people busy”.
“Oh” I said relieved that Daniel was okay. “Where are we going?”
“Home, we don’t need passports so if you’re bothered about that.”

Chapter twenty-one

I woke up and realized I didn’t recognize the place I was in. I wasn’t tied up which
meant that I wasn’t in danger for now. I was still wearing the same clothes - now dirty -
that mean no one saw me naked - thank God. I sat up and rested my back on the head
board. My stomach and head still hurt badly. Someone knocked on the door and with great
effort and pain I got up to open the door. Lisa was standing at the door with a pile of
clothes in her hands. “Change in these, they might be a bit big, their mine. Danny’s waiting for
you down so come quick” she said. I nodded and got changed.
I went downstairs and I cringed at the pain while I was walking. I saw Danny
waiting on the couch. When he saw me his eyes lit up. I went and sat next to him on the sofa.
“Hey babe” he said and kissed me.
“Hey babe” I whispered.
“How are you now?” he asked and touched the back of my head. My now paining head hurt
more and let out a low hiss. “I’m so sorry. I’ll go get you some pain killers alright?” he said as
if he was silently killing himself. I nodded and he ran out.
Lisa came and sat next to me and asked “where does it hurt?”
“Mostly my stomach with all the punching” I grimaced at the memory “and my head hurts
a lot. But other than that I’m fine”.
She nodded and then said “so you need to get your story straight. You were having a
sleepover here along with Bella and Asia according to your mom. Danny planed a small
romantic dinner for you out of town and Drew helped them according to Bella and Asia. They
are even faking a sleepover. So basically you’re covered”
“What about the pain?” I asked.
“Just fake PMS a lot of people get stomach cramps, you can do that” she suggested.
“Why is everyone’s answer to my reactions PMS?” I muttered.
Danny returned into the room with pain killers and a box of pizza. I was so hungry I
hogged the slices down. After my third slice - I normally just eat two - I turned to see
Danny’s face and he looked at me all weird, I smiled and said “what, I haven’t eaten
properly in hours”. After I finished eating Danny put transformers in the DVD player. I fell
asleep watching the movie.

Chapter twenty-two

I woke up in my room, just few hours ago I was in Danny’s arm - at least it felt like few
hours - and now I’m confused. I didn’t know what day today is, what time it is and I don’t
even remember what happened before. I usually live my life according to the clock. I cried
because I feel like a girl with amnesia, so lost.
I called Drew and he lifted his cell phone after 3 rings. “Hey Jane, you’re finally
awake” he said.
“Drew where are you?” I asked, my voice still sounded like I was crying.
“I’m with Bella. Why? What’s wrong? You don’t sound alright” he remarked. I didn’t want to
disturb their date so I said “I’m fine, I’ll just call Danny”.
“Are you sure?” he asked.
“Yeah, bye” I said and hung up.

I called Danny; he lifted the phone up after the 4th ring. “Hey Jane” he said.
“Hey babe, you busy” I asked.
“Kinda, why?” he asked concerned.
“I need you” I said desperately.
“What happened? Have you been crying?” he asked.
“Yeah, can you come here now?” I asked him.
“I’m on my way, bye” he hung up.

After like about 20 minutes someone rang the door bell. I ran downstairs to open the
door, it was Danny. I threw myself on him and hugged him.
“Hey babe, what’s wrong?” Danny said.
“I’m confused” I said.
We went upstairs to my room, sat on my bed and then he said “what are you confused about?”
“Everything that happened recently. I don’t even know what day it is today” I said.
“Well, why don’t you look at the time on your cell phone?” he simply stated.
I opened my phone and gasped, “OMG its 20th. When was Asia’s party?”
“17th” he said.
“I don’t remember two whole days of my life” I cried.

 He hugged me and said “don’t’ worry, I’ll help you fill out the gaps, just tell me
what you remember”. I nodded and told him everything that happened. After that he said
“now I’ll help you fill the gaps. Drew said that he dropped you with Zoey at around 3 pm on
18th; they called me from your phone at 8 pm, same day. We web chatted online at 10 pm.
When we reached ‘King’s Gate’ it was 5 in the morning on 19th. When you reached here it
was 7pm. You fell asleep at around 9pm so I called Drew to take you home. And now it’s
around 10:30 am. Are you ok now babe?”
“Yeah, thanks so much for doing this” I said and kissed him.
“Anything for you, I love you” he said.
“I love you too” I said. “It wasn’t all bad” I continued, “I mean, I got to meet Taylor Swift and
Jesse McCartney” I blushed.
“What did he do to make you blush?” Danny asked.
“He kinda kissed me” I said shyly.
“He what?” Danny asked fuming.
“Just my forehead, when I was conscious. Not only that but he was the only one who was
sweet to me” I defended.
“What do you mean?”
“Well, Zoey was always punching me. Paul was always threatening to electrocute me and I
think he did electrocute me once. Taylor was well, just being ignorant.” I said.
“Can I see your stomach?’ he asked.
“Sure” I said and lifted my shirt. I saw that a small part of my stomach was blue. “Oh, I
didn’t know it was this bad” I said.
“Should I get some ice?” he asked concerned.
“I guess, I don’t want my stomach to be seen when I go swimming”.
“Alright I’ll go get it” he said, kissed me awesomely and left.

Chapter twenty-three

It had been a week since my kidnap. It was the 27th of the month and Danny decided to
have a barbeque/beach party. So basically we were having a barbeque and we had to wear
our swimming outfits. We decided to meet at sunset beach. Drew, Bella, Rory and I were in
one car. Danny, Lisa, Shane and Asia were in one car. Jessica, Alex, ebony and Gordon
were in one car. Marie and Giselle were still deciding.
Our car was the first to arrive so Rory went for a swim and told me to call him when
Lisa came. Drew and Bella went for a walk not too far away. Drew took his cell phone and
told me to call him when everyone else arrived. That left me all alone. I sat on the rock and
stared at the beach with my cell phone in my hands.
Suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see Paul and Zoey standing
behind me. Panic! I had to tell someone. I couldn’t call Danny, he was too far away. I could call
Drew. “Hey Zoey” I said totally calm, I took out my phone and said “I kinda have to make a
quick phone call”. I called Drew and he lifted the phone after 2 rings.
“Hey Jane, are people there yet?” Drew answered.
“Umm no. can you come here quickly and alone. Zoey’s here” I whispered.
“Crap! I’m on my way. I can see you” I turned my head and saw Drew running. I turned my head
to Zoey and said “hey Zoey, what’s up?”
“I’m here to talk Janice” Zoey said sharply.
“What do you want Chambers?” Drew said while panting.
“I came to apologize to Janice for hurting her, but you have to understand that I was doing my
job” Zoey said softly.
“I guess I can forgive you” I said.
“Now leave. And I never want to see you near her again” Drew said.
“Wait, your clothes are in my car. Take it.” Paul said.
“I’m coming with you” said Drew.
We walked to their Cadillac and Zoey took out a bag from the back seat and handed it to me.
Drew and I left. I hugged him and said “thanks”.
He kissed my forehead and said “anything for you sis”.
We walked towards the hummer. I put the bag in the car. I got a message form
Danny saying that he would be here in 5 minutes. I told Drew to go to Bella. I removed my

shirt and short - I was now only in my bikini. I went to the ocean and swam till I found
Rory. When I found him I told him that Danny would come soon. I walked out of the water
with Rory and I saw Daniel gawking at me, I blushed. I called him in the water. He ran
towards his car and returned only in his trunks. It was my turn to gawk. He chuckled and
entered the water he put his arms around my waist and whispered “hey sexy”.
“You’re the one to talk, hot stuff” I said and kissed him. We kissed for a long time,
it was so magical. Shortly after us Drew, Bella, Jessica, Ebony, Alex, Gordon and Rory
joined us. We swam and splashed water on each other and basically had a good time.
After about an hour, Danny decided that we should start eating. So Daniel got out of the
water first and I followed him. After I came out he said “it’s like watching Baywatch”. I laughed.
I turned my head to look at the ocean and saw Shane walking out of the water. He looked like
a Greek Adonis walking out of the water, he was so hot. “Yup, Baywatch” I mumbled. I heard
Danny sigh and say “come on”.
I went to the car to get a towel and to dry off. I wore my shorts but still kept my
bikini top on because the temperature was high. Slowly everyone else came out of the water and
changed. All of us girls sat around the fire while the guys got the food cooked. It was the ready
to barbeque food so it didn’t take long. After the food was ready the guys put the food in plates
and sat next to us. It was a fun night.
Rory suddenly said “so Jane, what did Zoey want?”
Daniel’s grip around my waist tightened, he said “Zoey was here?”
“Yeah Rory, she just wanted to give me something” I said.
“That’s why you went running?” Bella asked Drew.
“Yeah, Jane wanted the car door open” Drew said.
“Did you check what was in the bag Drew?” Daniel asked. He obviously meant a bomb or
something drastic.
“Yeah, nothing interesting, just clothes” Drew said.
“What do you mean by ‘interesting’?” Alex asked.
“Nothing I could steal and use it against her” Drew said.
“You could threaten to burn her clothes” Gordon said. I shot him a death glare and he
mouthed ‘sorry’.
I placed my lips on Daniel’s ear and said “she just wanted to apologize for hurting me”. He
kissed my cheek.

 So in the end Drew didn’t get fired. Well he almost did for letting me get kidnapped
but because he saved me in Africa, he’s back on the S.A.A team. Danny and I have no
secrets between us. And this is a happy ending but my adventures will still continue.
