By now you are aware of the importance of developing and maintaining an effective and comprehensive survival stockpile. This checklist is intended to serve as a guide and a way to organize your survival preparation strategy. It includes all of the necessary items as well as space for you to include your own. You dont have to follow this checklist to the letter, and you are free to design your own if that makes preparing easier. Use this as a guide resource to ensure that you do not forget any essential items, and make sure to keep it up to date and available for review and modification over the course of time.

How To Use The Checklist

Consider printing out a few copies of the checklist- one for your Bug-Out-Bag, one to use as you are building your survival stockpile and one or two spares to keep on hand. Another good suggestion is to place the checklist in a clear plastic pouch or folder and use a dry-erase marker to note and update quantities from time to time. Dont forget to use the add your own items section in order to fully customize your checklist to meet your particular needs. Remember that this checklist is for your benefit. Make sure that you complete the items, keep a running total through updates and changes, and always keep it in a conspicuous place. This reference is intended to help you to build a solid and effective survival stockpile, so try not to shove the checklist away and forget about it.

Water
It is possible to survive for weeks without food, but you cant go more than a few days without safe drinking water. Make sure that you not only have enough reserves on hand to provide for you and your family, but also ensure that you have identified and located a source for new water if your supplies run out. A rainwater collector, stream, well or even distillation system can do the trick, but it is important to find at least one other resource.
